Lovely setting and wonderful service. many food choices as well.
Amazing edamame! Best tom yum so far! Keep up the good job!
I love going to casa sensei, sadly this time it wasn’t a good experience, our server was really bad, I spoke to manager at the same time and let him know what happened.
First I asked our server for popcorn, why because that’s an appetizer they have always giving us when we go there, he’s answer was, well we don’t have any right now, we don’t have the sauce that goes on top of it, apparently somebody didn’t do their part of the job( that was his answer) few seconds later I asked another server who was passing by us and she said yes we do have, I will let your server know so he can bring you some. At that point I’m upset because why would he lied about a simple popcorn.
Then we order our drinks, 20 minutes later he comes back to our table and just stood there, we asked him about our drinks and he said “oh right, forgot about it, be right back” that was he’s second mistake, third one and worst one was when we order our main dishes, on of my friends told him I don’t know what to get but I’ll keep a Menu just in case. We got our door then my fiends decided to order a main dish, we call our server and she told him what she wanted, AGAIN..... 20 minutes later he comes and asked her “I’m sorry what was that you order”?? We all looked at him and my friend said “don’t worry about it, I’m not hungry anymore” he just said “oh ok” and walked away.
Honestly this was a really really bad service, I love going to this restaurant, but that server honestly just made me think of going back there again. He literally ruin our evening.
We are so sorry to hear about your recent experience at Casa Sensei. Our restaurant goes to great lengths to provide the highest level of service, so please know we take your comments very seriously. Clearly we did not deliver against that goal on your recent visit and we are sorry about that. We hope to learn from your feedback as we continually look to improve and exceed our customer’s expectations and hope that you will visit us again soon.
Very nice place to have a light business lunch. A little pricey for lunch but not horrible. Would probably come back for business. but not necessarily pleasure.
Lovely restaurant near a canal in the heart of Los Olas. Great convenience with parking garage adjacent. The food is excellent with a different Asian Twist. The prices are high.
A bad experience all round. Slow service, low quality food, terrible ambience and a high price for not a lot of quality.
First iMessage having dinner at Casa Sensei and it won’t be the last. Sitting outside by the canal was so relaxing and a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious ad drinks were good. Service was good.
It was my wife birthay and my 4friends and us have been very satisfied regarding the food and service.
Thank you Casa scenci for the fabulous desert you offerd us for the anniverseray. Yet we recommanded your restaurant to many friends and we may return with them.thanks again.
Excuse my english writing I am french Canadian.
It was great food and atmosphere! The only issue was I got an email saying I didn’t make my reservation. We changed it on the app from 8 to 9 , and even got points for showing up at 9?
Food was 10 out of 10, and well priced
We had a reservation, but they had no tables. When they did sit us, they had sat us next to a very large, loud private party. We waited 10 minutes before we were greeted by a server. The food was good. The Edamame is my favorite. Just seemed like they were not ready at all.
Worst service ever
Great food! My date especially loved the fried fish!!
Casa Sensei was a bit of a mixed bag for us. Initially we made a reservation and requested an outside table. Naturally when we arrived, we were led by hostess to the very back of the restaurant to a table inside...I guess if they are going to ask us if we want inside or outside, I expect them to at least follow our choice-otherwise, why bother asking? Ultimately, we were sat outside but it was a somewhat obnoxious start. However our waitress was super friendly and upbeat so that helped to change the vibe. The food was decent. The standout was the sushi roll (I believe it was called Dancing eel) which was actually very good and I was surprised that I liked guacamole on the roll. Other dishes were good but did not stand out as something I would have to have again. That said the cotton candy was a fun and unexpected dessert at the end. There were several items on the menu we didn't try and though I would not at this point, give this place 5 stars, I would go back to try some of the other dishes that sounded appealing. I think there may be some other good finds on the menu.
Our meal was very good and the outside seating area was really nice on the water. Would recommend!
Great food as always. Always prefer sitting outside on the dock.
Very good food , great location
Good food, inventive menu, good service
The food is really good, it's a shame that is not complemented by a good service. We had to ask our waiter several times for our food. Our food was brought to the wrong table. No follow up by the waiter on our drinks. The restaurant could have made more money if the waiter would have been on top of our food and drinks as we had order more. Again good food not matched by the lousy service.
Si le service avait été meilleur le overall experience aurait été parfait. Malheureusement toute la nourriture est arrivé en même temps avant ma soupe en entrée & le serveur avait l’air de s’en foutre... mais beau décor & sushi bon
We were looking through OpenTable for a place to eat while in town. We wanted something a little different and something the family could agree upon. This placed fit the bill. We were told there would be a wait on our reservation as it rained and some people outdoors moved inside. That ended up being a non-issue as the rain stopped and we were slated to sit outside anyway. Along the dock was a great spot to sit.
I never did get our waiter's name, but he was from Serbia. He was very good, attentive, and a good sense of humor as we joked about his grandfather's sugar farm. (You had to be there.) The food was great. A good amount, but not overkill portions. Although, my daughter was a little overwhelmed but all the sushi she ordered, not realizing how much she was getting. Our table had a variety of meals and everyone was very happy with each. I topped off with the banana spring rolls, which I really, really, enjoyed. Oh, and the cotton candy was fun and nice touch. Definitely would return.
Although we had a reservation and the restaurant was not full we were shown a cramped table and told no other except outdoors was available. This was not the case as a later viewing of the restaurant showed tables for 4 with 2 people at them.
The food originally ordered, the special fried rice, was served barely warm and the shrimp in it were cool. The rice itself was nearly tasteless.
The tostones were more like a plantain pancake than a Cuban tostone.
The prices charged were much higher than their 2- $$
sign on their rating.
I would be very hesitant to go back.
The food continues to be excellent and it comes out quickly. Getting drinks, however, is another matter. Go for the food; maybe have drinks elsewhere beforehand.
We had a delightful dining experience. The ambiance outdoors was perfect. The menu included many of our favorites. The service was excellent.
Thank you for the wonderful review. We are very happy you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Great food. Our server, Roro was wonderful
My wife and I had dinner here and let me tell you that the food was fantastic! The Octopus was my favorite dish. Definitely worth dinning at this restaurant.
Fantastic food and great service! The special fried rice and chicken bites are just amazing! Thank you!
Danny was an outstanding hostess. He made sure that everyone at our table was well taken care of. That food was great & the atmosphere was perfect .
The service was slow . Many mistakes with the order
The appetiZers and small plates were great. Not impressed worth the main dishes.
Everything was awesome. We had a small groupd dinner to celebrate with our department managers. Great selection and even better quality. A couple of us ordered the "pescado frito" which was superb. The mixed grilled Seafood platter with lobster was also great. Service was TOP, our server / bartender went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you. We would definetely reccomend Casa Sensei to family friends and guests
Honestly the best place to go eat and enjoy a wonderful day!
Food is delicious, service really great. Nice being on the waterfront
The sushi was overpriced and overrated. Have had and could get better sushi from anywhere in town. Not worth the money!!
Thoroughly enjoyed Casa Sensei. Great food choices including gluten free options. Efficient service and friendly staff. We dined inside (too humid for us outside), but the outside dining is lovely with a view of Las Olas and a small canal. We will definitely return.
Been here many times and the food is very good and consistent.
Creative items especially guacamole wrapped in Tuna is great and Wagu Beef n Tuna combo roll.
A lot of good options
Our time was so memorable.. the food was awesome.. it’s always hard for my son to get food when we go out because he is Plant based.. let me tell you..you all represented with delicious choices for him and all of us enjoyed it as well..our server.. sorry do not remember his name was so cordial and giving of his kindness and positive energy..I will be coming back because of him next month..this is my new favorite restaurant.. we do not eat out much because I don’t think it’s really worth it.. but your ambiance.. location and service won me over.
Amazing experience. Celebrated my boyfriends birthday and everyone was very satisfied
The service was subpar compared to other restaurants we went to. Servers were not friendly, hostess seemed annoyed with our request for a larger table while restaurant was empty. Food was expensive and tasteless. Definitely not worth the drive.
Well executed in every measure starting with the wonderful hostess and ending with desert.
Found this place on a whim I was skeptical. But I was surprisingly amazed how incredibly good it was The ambiance, the food, the service was more than I could imagine. I will say it definitely will get a return visit
