Food cooked to perfection, service fantastic. Definitely it’s our first option to go eating in the future.
Great food and service!
We dine here often, the pistachio crusted grouper was amazing. We are not crazy about the front room because it can be noises due to the bar. But last night we were told somewhat abruptly by the host that they must fill the front room first! Never been told that before and did not appreciate it, we came close to going elsewhere.
The ambiance is great, service is exceptional but a little bit pricey for appetizers.
The service was outstanding! Everyone was so pleasant and kind their. I would recommend it to all of my friends and family. It’s a first class place!
The duck and lamb dish was amazing. The burnt roll was awful luckily our server changed it for us and we had another roll but weren’t to impressed with the sushi. Next time we will stick to food only
Great place, the food is excellent! Highly recommended
Cafe Sensei is sensational. Original interpretations of classic pan-asian dishes but also a menu of traditional Japanese for the purist. The interpretation of bao pork buns was scrumptious and original. The charred octopus was melt-in-mouth delicious. Beautiful plating, wonderful flavors combining tastes across asia. Definitely going back. Great location on the river, reminiscent of San Antonio Riverwalk in miniature.
This was our first visit to Casa Sensei. We had trouble finding a place to park. We finally downloaded the parking app to park next door but that delayed us a while.
The four of us sat outside on the patio, just above the canal which we loved.
Our waiter Alex, greeted us warmly and did a wonderful job throughout the evening. We loved the selection and the combination of Latin and Asian flavors.
All 4 of us loved our dishes. The lobster guacamole was good but it was extremely spicy. Next time I'll make sure to ask them to tone it down. We also had wonderful tostones and empanadas.
For our main dishes, two of us had the mojo marinated lechón, my husband had the Korean BBQ Bolgogi and our friend had the smaller version of the Korean BBQ which had less meat but more rice and it was cheaper than the other one. We were very pleased.
We went there to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary and we had the worst experience in a long time.
The seating was so uncomfortable, it was painful to eat in that position.
The appetizer was good but then we asked the pescado frito which was depicted as their specialty. The fish was probably not fresh at all, and it was so dry that seemed to had been over microwaved. It was served with romaine leaves just like you take them out of the bag, with no dressing whatsoever. A mess of a dish, disgusting presentation, and very bland taste. Obviously we won't come back. Do not recommend this place. Ruined our special night.
Casa Sensei is a unique experience similar to Kyu in Miami without the 3 week reservation wait. The food portions are relatively small but excellently presented and delicious. Service was extremely attentive without being overbearing.
Reserve a table opposite the bar rather than the back room!
The only downside are the non-bench chairs...way to low for the table height.
Bad service, rude attitude. Appetizers came before main dish. I said my allergies to broccoli the plate came full of broccoli
Waiter wasn’t attentive, was rude.
Food is down to average, overpriced.
Don’t waste time and money, don’t go!
Fantastic experience, great food, service and atmosphere
This was out third visit and the food was the best ever. Service was terrific! Will go back again and tell others about the great experience.
I loved the ambiance of Casa Sensei but the service was just average. The food was pretty good but not worth the price in my opinion. There were also a lot of flies/gnats flying around which made the place not feel clean.
Service and food were excellent. I recomend Fried Rice Sensei, it was delicious. Definitely we will come back.
Great mix of ethnic foods, from sushi to empanadas to dumplings and more.
The staff was amazing, the food was delicious. They made a great dining experience for us.
Very good Asian fusion experience, in a refreshing setting along The River in trendy Las Olas.
Get the Lobster Guacamole to start, as well as the Bao Buns. The Guacamole portion could be more generous as the chip to guac ratio was too disproportionate.
The Truffle edamame, also is very good.
The Fish Burnt, Buttered truffle and Lobster Komodo rolls were very good. All the rolls were ample in size. I recommend 1 roll per person and sharing as the rolls are ample in size (in contrast to the appetizers).
Great service all around by our server. Our hostess greeted us with a smile and suggested a great seating location too.
The main drawback for me was the price of the meal. It is a bit steep considering the meal. However, the value also includes the fact that I was able to have lunch with my daughters and beautiful wife, in a lovely venue along a quiet river in Ft. Lauderdale. There's a premium for that.
For our first time there, we really Love the place and we had a fabulous night.
Great experience, food was great.
Chicken was lil over cooked! I always get the Kung Fu Lo Mien!
Great service and delicious food !
Buns tasted a day too old, duck was dry, bulgogi didn't seem like the ribeye it claimed to be. Way over priced for quality and size as well
The reviews highly overrate this place. The octopus was way smaller than expected and the two Asian chicken dishes were also small. Don’t need to return
Very nice quiet restaurant with a different approach mixing Japanese and Latin food. It seems they focused a lot on making their food spicy which my wife and I loved.
Beautiful location along a canal in a quieter section of Las Olas Boulevard with elegant indoor and outdoor seating. We chose indoors because of the slight humidity on the day. Very interesting fusion of Latin American and Asian dishes - we ordered some of both - that blended very well together. All the dishes were rated highly by everyone in our group. Service was attentive and pleasant and ambience and lighting were pleasant and relaxing.
Provisional "yes" to a return visit. Overall experience was good (seated on the canal) but service and attention to detail was lacking. We were seated and waited at least 15 minutes for a server to come by. Eventually one of the waiters took note and took us on despite not being assigned our table. Clearly someone dropped the ball on the table assignment. I didn't see any front of the house staff on any fly-bys during our meal. Overall our food was good but modestly overpriced.
My husband and I enjoyed Casa Sensei so much that we returned the very next day to dine with them again. Mrs. Barbara and Gary made our experience an extremely memorable dining experience. The food was impeccable.
Awesome menu! Can't wait to get back and try more of it!
The food was delicious.. and I love the restaurant. Very clean, and decor was nice. Love the location.
Very good food, outstanding service! Will visit again soon.
Food was a mix of thai, japanese and latin!!! Not clear what they are good at. In general, food is average but too expensive for what you get.
First time at Casa Sensei we love it. Appetizer we had grilled octopus was delicious and for dinner my wife had crispy peking duck and I had jasmine rice with Korean Steak Chimichurri Amazing. The Services was very good knowledgeable waiter and very nice. Recommended 100 %
Love, love this place, second time here! First with my husband, we had such a great experience, the food is over the top, so good we came back with friends, and they raved about it. Once again Casa Sensei did not disappoint, delicious food and awesome service. Very nice atmosphere outside and inside. Already can’t wait to go back. Thank you
We sat outside, waterside, on a beautiful evening... Food was served beautifully and a bit salty but good...had lettuce wraps, sushi, pad Thai, steak.
Will go back if in the area
Really great food , I was surprised how good it was , waitress was super nice , check this place out
I love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is great!
The food was amazing and the place was beautiful although are server I didn’t understand much
