Casa Oaxaca - Bethesda
Service from the waiter was not great. I ordered two drinks and he questioned why. Did not want to give me my second drink until I finished my first. As my first time at the restaurant I wanted to try the different drink flavors. Definitely would not that type of service recommend.
Wonderful as always!
Party of 10 for a birthday celebration with colleagues. The covered patio was great. Service once we were seated was great. Street tacos were delicious and creative (cactus, grasshopper). Delicious drinks. Only challenge was that the host was very hesitant to seat our party when we arrived, even with a reservation. But I acknowledge patience is required for large parties these days. Overall a good experience and I would recommend it and go back.
Waiter seemed overwhelmed but food was really good, patio had a lovely breeze. Overall good experience.
Great outdoor patio. Service was fantastic, warm and welcoming. Food was terrific and options for everyone.
Picked Casa Oaxaca for a casual night out and it was everything we were hoping for. Sat outside so we could bring our dog and shared a pitcher of margaritas - fantastic experience. Food was delicious and the margs were great. Fun but low key environment. Great place to grab a few drinks and hang out!
Great contemporary Mexican food with entrees, generally in the $18-23 range with generous-sized portions. Will definitely go back!
Authentic and delicious food, outdoor dining, and fantastic service! Our new favorite place!
Food- average, but they do have some interesting dishes not commonly found like grasshopper tacos, grilled cactus, etc.
Ambience- great. Bonus- covered outdoor seating so you can eat outside in any weather!
Service- terrible. Except for our waiter who was friendly, we had to ask multiple people multiple times to turn in our heater. The waitresses also kept taking away our food before it was finished. She cleared my friend's beer bottle without asking when it still had some left, also took away our chips/salsa we were still working on when we ordered a 2nd one. I was the last to finish, but she took my plate that still had a partial taco on it and stacked in on the other plates that were finished without asking me if I was done. I also asked for an extra napkin but she never brought it so I had to take one (a whole set with silverware) off of another table.
We love this place and it always has the best atmosphere and food!
1) drinks were fantastic! We had margaritas and mojitos and I haven’t had drinks that good in a long time.
2) overall, the food was really good.
1) waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and it took quite some time for our drinks and even placing our order
We arrived and were seated right away. My only issue was that we requested outdoor seating which we got, but it was picnic style benches. It was a little difficult for my 92 year old mother-in-law to be on a seat with no back. Server was great. Food was delicious and plentiful and came out quickly. Drinks were good as well. Would recommend. Parking was a challenge otherwise very good experience.
Service was terrible. Had to wait a long time each time we needed a waiter. Service was unfriendly.
We sat for 30 minutes with no drinks
Great outdoor dining space with a nice open tent to shield from rain /wind. The tables are bench style and was perfect for our party of 6 (5 adults and 1 toddler). Sad to say that service was terrible and very very slow, servers not attentive at all. But the food really was top notch and made up for it. Everyone had an empty plate. Best tacos I’ve ever had. Awesome tres leches. We went for brunch and I wanted to return for dinner.... and we just might have if the service hadn’t been so bad.
It was a fun place wish it had a few more veg and seafood options
We had a great time at Casa Oaxaca, the food and drinks were amazing!
The food here is great!! Service even better :) they had a mariachi band for cinco de Mayo, super fun!
Great place. Food was very good and the service amazing!
Nice patio, friendly service and good food! Good brunch options too
Fast service, great customer service. Food was delicious
Great food and service!!! Love the outside ambiance too. Highly recommend!
Incredibly high quality, authentic Mexican cuisine. Highly recommend.
Lots of attention from the waiter when we began to request Latin music — tons of fun
The food was okay, but the service was incredibly lousy. We waited unusually long for water, then for chips and salsa, then for our drinks, and finally for our food. Our chips were served without napkins, and our main dishes were served without utensils, so we had to track down a staff member to get those. The restaurant is adding on a mandatory 20% gratuity to all tabs to thank their staff for working through the pandemic--but unfortunately that seems to remove all incentive for them to provide even an adequate level of service.
Tastless fajitas and was up half the night with very upset stomach. Unfortunately, the excellent staff and service could not make up for the food.
Service was very slow. Took 2 hours for lunch and they weren’t busy.
The server forgot to take my order until I called for a server.
A diamond in the rough. The food was excellent. Perfect small/intimate setting.
Just perfect for good food and fun atmosphere. Service was outstanding. Cocktails were great along with delicious entrees!!!!!
Ok slow —and they forgot us at least twice. We were on the patio. Food was delicious and we had a great time but over 20 minutes waiting for our drinks
Amazing food and service
Great food and service. Even better margaritas
Good food good service.
It was amazing! Went here with my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day and it was moderately packed but the service was still great, the food was amazing, tried a horchata de melon for the first time and it was fantastic. We loved the place
Great food and friendly staff
Great food and service . Didn’t enjoy the outdoor setting so much
Incredible. Our favorite Mexican place. Outdoor seating is great. Lots of heaters and a few fire pits make it a comfortable and warm experience. Definitely the nicest outdoor dining in Bethesda.
Food is very good and reasonably priced.
Since Nahum has become bar manager the drinks are superb wirh some very unique cocktails .
This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Bethesda. The molcajete is incredible. It is a enough to share with 3-4 people. The margaritas are good and inventive. Nahum, the bar manager, has done an incredible job with the drink menu. Service is fantastic very attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant has done a good job with heaters and a fire pit to try to keep patrons warm.
Food & service were both wonderful! Beef tongue & ceviche were delicious. Highly recommend.
