We are there the night before with some co-workers and decided to go back again! Incredible!
Marco was a champion. He was attentive, not overbearing and very savvy with the menu. I had an Open Table tab, unfortunately they were not able to accommodate that service. Good thing I was prepared with an alternative firm of payment. They were apologetic and gave a discount for the inconvenience.
We have wonderful service and the ambiance was perfect for a mid -day luncheon. Loved the food and the cheesecake was perfect!
Had a birthday dinner for 9 people here. Food was delicious. Everyone pretty much ordered a different menu item and There were no complaints. We also made it 5 minutes before happy hour ended, and they were very accommodating in letting us order them at the table rather than all going to the bar. Our server was very attentive. We had a great experience! The tiramisu cake was also delicious.
This was our third visit, and it was every bit as wonderful as our first visit! The highlight was the orecchiette pasta. Delicious! We always love the arugula salad and cappuccinos. If we lived closer we’d be there every week. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Service was great! Food was wonderful!
Pretty good value for the happy hour. Drinks and food were OK, it wasn't bad but wasn't equal to 'wow' factor. However, the serving staff was amazing. Very kind, friendly, helpful, on time and perfect all around.
Great place to bring your date before a Lakers game! Nice romantic ambiance and great food. Also was very timely which was perfect for our pre game meal.
This was a dinner date for my husband and me and it turned out very nice. It was our first time here and we were rather impressed once we found it! Open Table maps took us in the opposite direction and we ended up on the opposite end of downtown, but luckily we called the location and were given directions. Parking was free with validation and is located in the back of the restaurant off the next street over.
The service was exceptional and the ambiance very nice. We sat in the courtyard area where it was a bit more quiet and outdoor heaters kept it pleasant. We started our meal with the calamari fritti, which was very good and the serving size was decent compared to other places where we’ve had it. We were served some very soft and warm bread with oil and vinegar for dipping. My husband ordered one of the specials which was a spinach pasta with shrimp and lobster tossed in a white sauce. He wasn’t that impressed and thought the lobster was a bit tough. I ordered a pasta dish as well which had mushrooms and sausage and they made it with an arrabiatta sauce as opposed to the white sauce it listed in the menu. I actually loved my dish! It was spicy just as I like it and had a lot of flavor. It could’ve used bigger chunks of sausage, but that’s just me. For dessert I insisted on the Tiramisu, because what’s an Italian meal without the Tiramisu? Well, unfortunately this was the one item we didn’t care for at all. I’m all about ordering Tiramisu if it’s on the menu, but this one was very mushy and didn’t have much flavor. On the bright side, it was a big serving and the presentation was nice. We definitely recommend this hidden little place in DTLA and hope to return for another meal and the chocolate lava cake that my husband really wished we had ordered!
Service and food was absolutely delicious! Best squid ink seafood pasta I’ve ever had. Definitely returning soon for the amazing food.
Great food. My chicken piccata was delish!
The food was delicious, and every course came out in minutes after ordering!
Excellent meal last night! loved the chicken piccata, so flavorful, even the spinach that came with it. Lasagna, chicken parm & pizza were all enjoyed as well! Highly recommend!
Casa Nostra is THE place to go before or after events at Staples Center and the Grammy Museum because it is walking distance, dependable delicious food and wait staff.
The crab cake and the prosciutto are both absolutely out of this world. The service is very friendly and fast.
It was great. Our waiter was very attentive and food came in perfect timing.
Casa Nostra was a close-to-last minute choice for a date night out. We were able to get a table without a problem. The atmosphere was nice, the wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was really great. I had a lobster risotto that was fantastic. Prices were not cheap but not outrageously expensive, either. A really nice dining experience.
The food was good and the happy hour was on point. Service could improve, the waiter was soft-spoken and there was some issues with plating. I had my Gnocchi served in the wrong sauce, but it was still quite enjoyable.
We've been coming here before every hockey game for the past 3 years. The food is great and the staff is friendly and efficient. The meatballs are great and pasta dishes are the best, especially the bolognese. I highly recommend this restaurant whenever your downtown.
The most amazing food and service !
Staff is amazing
Picked this place to eat before concert. Wait staff was pretty uninformed about menu questions. Ordered burrata and got a ball of mozzarella. Ordered a bolognese that was so undercooked was crunchy. They kept trying to remove our plates as we were still working on our meals! So many great places to eat in downtown was disappointed in our choice.
Great food and ambiance! My friends and I had a good time!
The squid ink spaghetti is the best Italian dish I've ever had. I'll be coming back for sure
Food was delicious and fresh. Once we ordered, which was just entrees, we were served quickly. Bread basket was fresh.
I looked for an Italian restaurant close to Staples center and found this on the list. Met up with friends and started out our evening with DELICIOUS Italian cuisine. Our waiter and the other gentlemen that helped bus our table were so attentive and polite. The only person that did not give me a warm and welcoming feeling was the hostess. I think she got bugged out because I asked for a different table instead of what she had designated. It was a cold and windy night and sitting at the first table by the door was not an option for me.
Very nice spot downtown. I've been there twice and had something different each time and I was happy with each.
The food was amazing. The wine was fantastic. It was a little quiet on the patio which was great for the business meeting. Some background music would have been nice. The request for a quiet or private area was accommodated which I appreciated. Typically I don't order desert, but I did. The gelato was so yummy.
This restaurant really surprised me. It is located next to the pantry. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent.
Food and service is always outstanding !
Great food and the staff is very friendly. Meatballs are great as well as all the different pastas. We go there before every hockey game.
This neighborhood gem is also a legit Italian reataurant. Having lived in Venice, Italy for a year, I recognize really well-prepared fish. Don’t eat as much pasta as I used to so can’t comment on that. The staff is friendly and always goes out of their way to take great care of us. Our recent experience was fantastic!
The pizza was very very salty. Maybe it was the one i got but it was almost hard to finish
Prompt service and excellent food!
In LA for business and got to take my son and his girlfriend out for dinner. This was the perfect restaurant - low key but elegant, close to my hotel, and most of all the food was fantastic. Our waiter offered the specials immediately and we tried the burrata with truffle appetizer and lobster over house made pasta pomodoro. From the regular menu we ordered the calamari fritti, farfalle alla veneziana and cioppino. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was just right. Would definitely go back!
Atmosphere is nice, great to go before a game. Park right there and walk over. We have eaten there quite a bit and the food is always good. Lately the service has been on the slower side so when you have someplace to be, allow for a little more time.
Delicious and big portions. Great happy hour as well.
good food and service. parking was convenient for a downtown restaurant. went for lunch but will come back for dinner.
Always a fantastic meal and great service!
It was the perfect meal to start an exciting night at Staples Center.
We have eaten at the location in Westlake Village and loved it. This was out first time at this location and it was terrific. Great menu selection and great specials. Our waiter Guideseppe was from Puglia and he was fantastictic! All in all, a greatt dinner.
