Very good food. Knowledgeable server. Intimate surroundings. Great experience, will be back!
The staff is very engaging and the food very good.
We had a wonderful waiter who really personalized the experience for us and accommodated all of our many needs. The food was wonderful, ambience was perfect, and service was phenomenal.
They were so accommodating for our big group! Food was delicious! Service was amazing and they couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful!
Server was great but when the bill was brought to us the server said the manager added gratuity to our check when asked to speak to him he approached us and said I felt Like adding it when asked for it to be removed because we were only a party of 4 and gratuity in California can only be added to parties of 6 or more and 18% should be added he added 20% to us he said he doesn’t have to remove it when asked to see his policy he stated he didn’t have to show me and when asked if he would be adding it to everyone else’s check he said maybe if I feel Like it then. I truly Feel he was discriminating my party and he even had the audacity to tell us we should have eaten at McDonald’s we would have had more fun and he hopes he never sees us again. Long story short I spoke to the owner the next day and he refunded me the entire amount and apologized for how we were treated. The food sucked anyways
Very nice place to dine. Great atmosphere. Parking is very convenient.
What an amazing little find. I never knew this place was so good! I passed by on my way to LA Live all the time and never knew how good the food was. Try it all but most importantly slow down and enjoy the ambiance.
We loved their location for going to the Ahmanson as well as their validated parking. Since we live in the west end of the San Fernando Valley we have been on a couple of occasion to Westlake Village and the food was consistent and great.
Liked the menu offerings and price. We will come back. May try other branches.
Always.good for a reliable and perfectly good restaurant.
Somewhat “regulars”, we were treated to a delicious dinner in an atmosphere we already know as pleasant and desirable by a staff of very pleasant, efficient people. Kudos to our server Cinzia for her typically excellent service.
Absolutely a great experience especially for my friends surprise Birthday dinner.
Great guacamole made to order, unusual but tasty chili relleno. Cocktail was good, beer selection very limited.
The place was very warm when we arrived, but after we asked about it they seemed to turn on the A/C and the place cooled down nicely. Food was very good, and the servers were helpful. Give yourself plenty of time pre-game if you're heading to Staples: it was pretty much an hour between when we sat down and when food started coming out.
We were excited, as out of town visitors, to have Dinner on a Friday night at Casa Nostra as it had been suggested to us by an acquaintance. When we arrived, we were seated right away, but almost immediately it was clear that Friday night was not a busy night for them. Among the four of us, we ordered Arugula Salad, Minestrone soup, the Lamb Shank Special on Cheese Risotto, and a small Margarita Pizza. All of the items were as advertised, just poor quality and execution. The salad was basically a plate of arugula and very little else, and the minestrone soup was like warm, and filled with potatoes chunks not resembling Minestrone at all. The Lamp Special was notably cold as well, and seemed as if it had been assembled from containers in the kitchen and microwaved - something I was surprised by given the $30+ price tag. The Pizza was quite good, but we surmised this was because it had just been made. As far as the service, we rarely saw our server, and since the food was delivered by other people, and we didn't see the server for at least 15 minutes after delivery, we ate what we could, paid, and left...
Excellent!!! Food was very good. Perfect! Waiter was top notch!
Very nice place. There were a few people at the bar being loud and obnoxious. But the host went right over and shut them down. Excellent move. Thanks
Enjoyed the food very charming place. Added plus parking was close and validated
Great from the moment we arrive to the moment we left. Great food and awesome service.
This is a pizza and family type Italian restaurant, however, it is nicer and more upscale than your local pizza place. My regret is that I did not have the opportunity to try the Pizza, as it looked very good. I had the chicken parmigiana and it was equal if not better to more trendy places that would charge 50 to 75% more for a smaller portion. Mine was ample, the side of vegetables was great and the garlic spinach was better than most anywhere. My friend had a pasta with baby boar suggested by the server that he said (and it looked) wonderful.
They have a wine list, it is not nearly as large as many fancier restaurants, but it is not priced outlandishly either. I was impressed with the full bar.
We did not partake of the desserts, but the list rattled off by our server was rather long and there were definitely many intriguing possibilities should we have changed our mind. Last, they have validated parking in the building behind.
This is a solid place to grab a bite and drinks before the Kings games. Food is reliably good (a bit pricey) but the happy hour is solid. Plus, you can't beat the parking - cheap and convenient.
Casa Nostra has a great ambiance. It's quiet and clean. However, the service we received was not up to par. The waiter would walk by and only stop after I had to motion for him. This was bothersome as there were several other tables that he was interacting with just fine. We order crab cakes, a bow tie pasta with chicken, piccata, and some wine. Our meal was over $100 and the food was not that impressive. I will not return to this location as my wife and I did not appreciate the treatment we were given.
Took my friend for her birthday. The service was fantastic and we both enjoyed the food. It was a little loud inside, so we chose to sit outside on the back patio. The food portions were hearty and reasonably priced. Very nice dining experience.
Our waiter was rude. Needs to go through some customer service training. The hostess was nice.
What a find! I rarely go Downtown, but would certainly make the drive again to return to Casa Nostra. Fabulous, authentic Italian food, great menu, wonderful service and a very pretty restaurant. We went for lunch and the atmosphere with white table cloths made the meal lovely. I'll definitely be returning. You won't be disappointed.
The pasta entrees were excellant. The caesar salad was just alright, expected bigger portion. The bread was just so so.
The staff at the restaurant always goes out of their way to make our experience great. Food was delicious.
Nicolas served us and the experience was delightful. The food was fantastic and the restaurant is a must. Will definitely be returning.
my girlfriend and I barely ate our pasta. They don't have a Steak option. Their menu is very small. Their Chicken Parm does not come with pasta. Wasn't many people there on a Friday night downtown. Italian restaurant with american hiphopy music playing.
Fantastic pasta and they are very accommodating. Next time I’m in LA I’ll be back!
It was phenomenal!
The staff were very friendly from the initial welcome through to departure. Unfortunately the food was just average though. I had the meatballs to start and the chicken parmigiana for my main. Both were fairly bland and I got the impression they were either cooked from frozen or microwaved as they were so hot which is usually a sign of either cooking method, rather than being hot from coming straight off the heat.
pasta was amazing and the soup was great. definitely worth the try and the crafted brew they have is excellent.
Great place with outstanding service! Employees were very knowledgable and stopped at nothing to provide the best possible experience.
Great spot perfect for lunch meetings
Experience was amazing. The people were very welcoming and polite, really engaged us in our menu and experience. Staff perhaps was the best part as well as the food. Food was great and the description done by our host was excellent. I would recommend for all occasions and all party sizes.
For a restaurant that is as close to Staples Center as it is you'd think they'd have concert nights down to a science. The service was friendly but very slow. The food was good but nothing to write home about.
We went on a Wednesday night for dinner before seeing a concert at Staples. We made our reservation for 6:00. I walked from work and arrived at 6:00 and was promptly seated; my friend arrived by car about 10 minutes later. Our server was courteous and attentive. The restaurant is visually pleasing, bustling and energetic, though a bit noisy due to the proximity of the bar area. Our meal was traditional food but very well-prepared and tasty. After our mains we ordered dessert and cappuccinos. The cappuccinos were very good, but next time I will skip the desserts because they seemed too ordinary. We were done by 7:30 and ready to leave for an easy walk to Staples. I want especially to highlight how conveniently located the restaurant is to Staples and LA Live because the restaurant validated my friend’s parking for SEVEN HOURS!!! I thought that was awesome.
This was our 2nd dinner there. The 1st time was great. This time was even better. Our host and waiter Nicolas was extremely friendly and helpful with our selections. Made us feel like family. We look forward to dining here again and to visit their other locations in West Lake Village and Pacific Palisades.
