Always an excellent meal. Very reasonably priced for midtown. Highly recommend.
We held an annual business dinner at Casa Nonna and had a delightful meal. Service and food, both impeccable as usual. A top notch and trusted establishment that is well run and always great.
This is the second time I visited this restaurant and the experience was great each time. Service was attentive and the food was very good as well.
Nice ambiance! You can have a conversation without yelling and be heard. Service and food was impeccable. Waiter was helpful with wine choice and brought samples to make final choice. Enjoyed light fluffy little potato gnocchi that floated to your mouth and melted in a light sauce with fave beans and a hint of heat. Paired with the Vermentino, this is heaven on earth...so much so, I took a friend two days later. Same great experience! Grazie Nonna!
We were in NYC for Toy Fair at the Javits. This was our annual Toy Fair Dinner with New York Friends. The Restaurant is lovely with large tables, and not all jammed together. The food was amazing (best lamb shank!!!)..........and the service was impeccable. It was Saturday night and we were not rushed in any way. We always look forward to this special event every year. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
This restaurant never disappoints! Great food and service. Always accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable waitstaff. I come often and have recommended to out of town friends while they are in NY.
Sad but true. Ive been here three times and my wife and I left here thinking it’s has lost its way and the food is not good.
The first time we can here we were blown away with pork belly and pasta dishes.
2nd time was with friends and it was okay because the chef left.
3rd time we came for our sons birthday day and it was terrible. The environment and staff was great but I paid over $200 for dinner for mediocre dishes.
Another overpriced tourist trap. I was surprised at the small portions and mediocre table fair.
Service was the only good thing about our experience.
place was great. food was amazing. our waiter Scott was great!
Absolutely a wonderful evening . Food was amazing . Wine selection was outstanding . We stumbled upon this restaurant and I can tell you it will be on my list to return . Customer service was friendly , courtesies and gracious . Very very pleased
Entrees and service were just average. We expected more given the reviews. Our kids had pizzas which were very good.
Waiter must've been new - never told us the specials nor did he know anything about the whiskey. He was able to recommend a good red to go with my Filet Mignon. Other than that, my Valentine and I had a delicious meal and he was very very impressed with how great his fish turned out.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful restaurant
The front end hostess was extremely welcoming and fun. The wait staff did their job but didn’t have much personality. The food was real tasty and I could have made a meal of the appetizers. We went here before Billy Joel and the ambiance totally fit the theme of the evening. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and patron it again.
Entertaining cousins from abroad . Always exceptional !
Very good food, interesting wine list, attentive staff, old world charming decor. Must order the meatballs!
Our favorite go-to Italian restaurant in the city. Perfect for a date night or celebrating a special occasion. The service is exceptional and the food is always delicious. We always get the brussel sprouts and most recently I had the swordfish and it was perfectly cooked.
2nd time at this restaurant and its absolutely delicious. Everything from the food to the service. Highly recommend this place!!!
The staff was amazing and the food was excellent! Definitely coming back.
We had a wonderful dinner, food was amazing !!!
My second time there. Not as good as the first. Menu was different and pricey.
Great food and atmosphere
Massi was our waiter and he could not have been better or more attentive. The food is ALWAYS amazing and a great place to eat. I do not get to NY very often but, I always stop here!
The best baked mussels I’ve ever had. Yum
Quite dissatisfied as there was hardly any choice on the menu - no option for classic Italian dishes or even classic desserts and starters. We were so looking forward to a lovely Italian meal on our first night in NYC and we were extremely disappointed. The food is overpriced and you do not get enough choice on meals. Staff were almost too attentive that you felt pressured into ordering straight away.
Great place to go for business meeting
Good low level if noise
They were very accommodating from the door. Gave us a good seat as requested. Our server Tom was very patient in going through the menu and with his recommendations. Despite an error in one of our main course it was quickly rectified. Kudos to the owner Nick for his walkabout and checking in to make sure we were satisfied and that our dining experience was great. We told him that we would definitely be back. YES the food was exquisite. We had the restaurant week menu, Hangar steak tiramisu as well as the Rib eye and fillet mignon. The truffle mash potatoes were to die for. Their cocktails were also good. The ambience plus the food and the staff was worth it.
waiter wasn't very professional or affable...just ok...felt like he was mostly interested in getting through dinner, and get his tip.
wine was lousy...very mediocre
not sure i would go back...but location is good.
A perfect evening at Casa Nonna—our server was knowledgable and attentive, the food impeccably presented and delicious, the recommended wine expensive yet well worth the price.
My friend and I recently went here before going to an 8PM show on Broadway. We took our 2 daughters (6yrs, 10yrs). The food was really very good. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere was really good and overall we really enjoyed ourselves. The meal was a little pricey but worth it in the end. Was close to the show and there was no fuss. Would recommend and return.
We were greeted warmly and well attended to most of our visit. The restaurant was roomy, artfully decorated and waitstaff was knowledgable about the food. Once the restaurant filled up we waited a very long time for my mother's dessert. The portion sizes for Italian food were small for the price, but this was no run of the mill Italian restaurant and since it's the Theatre District that's basically what we expected. That said the food was delicious and masterfully prepared. We would return for the pizza and dessert alone, but I'd sooner return for a date instead of in a group on account of the price.
The steak was extremely chewy. I felt like each bite took 5minutes to swallow. The bread was amazing. However I wouldn’t go back. Nothing impressed me.
A wonderful, delicious experience. The restaurant is lovely, the food fantastic and our server was terrific. Already recommended to people we know travelling to NYC soon! We will be back too.
Love this restaurant! It has great ambiance with a huge wall of artwork that makes it feel like a cool NY place even though it is in midtown. Great selection of Italian food (everything from pizzas to steaks). We were a party of four and they gave us a big comfy booth so we could relax and catch up. Great night!
Just a fabulous meal! We were just in Sicily where the food was fantastic. We felt like we were back there again at Casa Nonna
The food was exceptional! We thoroughly enjoyed it! The service was also excellent. We absolutely loved it! We chose Casa Nonna for it's location tonight, but it is now one of my favorite restaurants!
I Luv'd it, from the music that was playing when I came in to the smile and kind words as I walked out the door it was a great experience. I was at the restaurant about 45 minutes early just by chance and although they couldn't seat me at a table they were able to give me a spot at the pizza bar. As I was alone it was fun to watch the making of the food and the back of the house. I ordered from the restaurant menu and it was excellent, the portions were the perfect size and the taste...nothing but yummy. Everything was done to perfection. I look forward to a return visit. The staff treated me so well. it was a great evening! thanks
We took my son here for his birthday and it did not disappoint! Starting with the amazing focaccia... to the wonderful desserts! All of them! It was 5 star! I highly recommend the meatballs and pici toscana! Taste just like the pici I had in Tuscany! If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant... this is it!
Located only 4 blocks from the World's Most Famous Arena, you knew that Billy Joel's 60th monthly Garden engagement was the area's drawing card. From cocktails through dessert, the service was exceptional, the plates flavorful, and environment very comfortable (despite being a fairly large restaurant by Manhattan standards). Cocktails included a flavorful Negroni ($15), Grey Goose Dirty ($17), French Martini, and Red Wine. The appetizer bruschetta included multiple topping options and the Chicken Liver (yes, really, the highest rated), Eggplant, and Tomato choices were terrific. Main courses included Prosciutto-Wrapped Tenderloin ($41) which included four nice slices and comes recommended. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was extremely pretty on the plate and a treat for the palate. Scallops over risotto were generously portioned and buttery soft. Desserts were "ok" including an overly dusted Tiramisu ($11) and Cheesecake with orange infused ice-cream. In total, the bill was $325 plus tip for our party of four.
Dinner before the Billy Joel show at the Garden. Greeting and service was very friendly. Gave us a table in the private room upfront. Had the veal saltimbocca, very nice. Charcuterie was tasty but the fried calamari was just average. Cappuccino was flat. Was a nice group meal spot before the show.
