The team that brought Americana back to NYC with Harding's is now introducing some authentic Mexican flavor to the city with the opening of Casa Neta Mezcaleria & Tequilaria. Located in the heart of Flatiron, Casa Neta boasts a selection of more than 140 agave-based spirits paired with a menu of authentically Mexican small plates. Executive Chef Joel Zaragoza, a Mexico City native, fuses the colorful and flavorful dishes of his childhood with vibrant, locally-sourced ingredients. The small plates and sweet treats are available to complement the extensive list of mezcals and tequilas, Classic Cocktails and Original Cocktails by Angel Bolivar, formerly of L'Esquina Brooklyn. The space offers 50 seats in the main dining room and bar upstairs and 20 in the downstairs Sugar Skull Room.

The space is pretty cool--nice interior brick and some interesting murals. I dug the ambiance. And the service was friendly. The food, however, was not great--seemed like they kinda phoned it in.

Great food but menu lists “to share” and each item looked like a individual order so everyone just kept the dish they wanted instead of sharing. Service was really bad, but would definitely give this place another try. Food was good and atmosphere was fun.

Randomly chose to eat here with a friend. Amazing meszcal list. Really nice wait staff. The food was fine. Enjoyed it but not blown away. But it was really loud. Sort of depressing decor, low seats compared to bench. Tons of screaming bros drinking in groups.

i enjoyed my Girls Nite out with my girlfriend. We really loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The happy hour was offered at the dinner table..always a plus and the margaritas were definitely ON POINT!
