As authentic as Mexican food gets and not a Guac in sight. The Rockfish Ceviche and the Shrimp Aguachile were bursting with flavour and simply outstanding. Our server took care to explain the menu and made some great recommendations overall. I also highly recommend the Mole Rojo, simply melt in your mouth chicken. The cocktails and mocktails were equally inventive. If you want Mexican food that is not run of the mill, go here!

I really like so much about this restaurant however the portions were very small considering the fine dining prices charged. The food is excellent, particularly the salsas and mole, but my partner felt the fish taco could have been more interesting. It was too much like others he's had, nothing set it apart.

The cocktails and service was great but the food was surprisingly disappointing. We had the ceviche and tacos and empanadas. Ceviche didn’t taste like that great. Felt like there was a lot of filler. The tacos (2 tacos for $24) weren’t that good an overpriced. The pastry on the empanadas was very good but the insides were nothing special. Overall the food was disappointing and the value was not there at all for how much it all costed. Service and ambiance was great but sadly I will not return.

We had a wonderful experience at Casa Morales celebrating my husband’s birthday! For starters, we had the octopus chicharrón — it was absolutely delicious. The sauces and drinks were incredible too. We ordered the hibiscus margarita, the Morales margarita, and the carajillo — all amazing. For our mains, we had the zarandeado octopus and the arrachera. Both dishes were packed with flavor and beautifully cooked. The service was outstanding. We were looked after at all times, especially by our server Israel and the manager — both were incredibly kind and attentive. I had asked if we could do something special for my husband’s birthday, and they surprised us with a cake, a candle, and even sang Las Mañanitas. It was such a beautiful and meaningful moment. Casa Morales is truly a gem — the food is exquisite, the atmosphere is vibrant, and it feels like a little piece of Mexico right here in Toronto. Highly recommended! 🇲🇽💛

Food was amazing and waitstaff was fantastic but the hostess/head waitress was very odd. She approached us multiple times insisting we give her our menus despite the fact that we hadn’t ordered yet. Not once, Not twice, at least 3 times. At the end of the meal, she stared snatching our napkins directly from our laps. It was a huge breach of personal space and very strange. Our 8pm table wasn’t ready until 8:45 but we didn’t mind, as they had space at the bar for us. The food was fabulous. The bartenders at the bar were lovely and so was our waiter. He was friendly and helpful. It was the one waitress only who made us feel pressured and rushed.

This was my fourth time at this restaurant and I will keep coming back. Wonderful high-end Mexican cuisine. I had the rockfish ceviche, which incorporated seared pineapple and cubed coconut; surprising and delicious. Then the braised lamb shank, equally wonderful. Fabulous cocktails too, beautifully presented; I had the fabulous Mezcal Negroni and my companion had the Bendito Dios, which was not only delicious but also a work of art. The decor is lovely as well. But the real highlight of this place is the service, which is truly exceptional; very attentive staff obviously intent on making sure the meal and the experience are flawless...

This was the best meal we have had in Toronto in a really long time. Outstanding Mexican food that goes way beyond tacos and nachos to show what upscale Mexican cuisine can be, but still a casual a friendly atmosphere. Delicious cocktails too. We will definitely be back!

Really glad I found this gem - the servers took a ton of pride in their work and the food didn’t not disappoint. Both tacos were great, I’d recommend the quesadillas and the ceviche as an appetizer.
