   You can go to Casa Mono an expect to have a lovely, delicious dinner. However, given its Michelin star I went into my experience with higher expectations than usual and was somewhat disappointed. The food was excellent, better than the average New York restaurant. However, some elements were lacking: we sat in the outdoor covered seating (which I highly recommend) but inside it is uncomfortably crowded and very loud, our server was very knowledgeable but not very attentive and we didn't see him much after the initial introduction, the bathroom was a bit dirty with paper towels on the floor, and they forgot one of the dishes we ordered and we had to remind them. These are not elements that normally detract from my experience, but like I said, I expected a bit more from a Michelin starred restaurant.

   Great food and service; our plane was late by over an hour and they were able to sit us despite de delay, always being extremely pleasant and nice on the phone.

   We sat outside, which was less crowded and noisy than inside. The food is unchanged and very good, but seemed to lack some sparkle. Wine list of interesting Spanish wines was somewhat better priced than most NYC restaurants at this time.

   The food, as always, was outstanding. Compliments to the chef(s), for their dishes were original, authentic and perfectly prepared. The variety and quality of the ingredients were a huge success for our table of four. This is one of the best restaurants in Manhattan as far as food is concerned. However, once again, I found the noise level to be much too high. The pounding sound issuing from the several loudspeakers in that tiny space made it difficult to sustain a conversation without having to shout to each other across the table. Excellent food needs the right environment to be fully appreciated, and loud music does not contribute to such an environment.

    Outstanding service and an exceptional sommelier who provided perfect pairing advice for the 15 small plate courses our party ordered. Perfect kitchen execution in an intimate and warm setting. Totally deserving of its Michelin star. Looking forward to returning soon!

    Delicious. The only way to describe the food at Casa Mono. We had 5 dishes plus desert with wine pairing between two of us. It was perfect. The sommelier chose delicious wines for us that went well with our food. We started with The Casa Mono Salad, which is kind of otherworldly, followed by Lamb Belly (amazing) Pulpo and their signature Bone Marrow dish, and close with the Bread Pudding… incredible. The ambience was relaxed and the service was attentive. Certainly coming back!

    This is a small and rather intimate restaurant. It should not be necessary with loud music. We were onyl two people in our party and had difficulties hearing each other.

    Our reservation was 6:45pm, but we had to wait for another 15 minutes to be seated. Very tight seating so you are elbow to elbow to your neighboring tables…a little uncomfortable. The food and service are excellent.

    The service was not welcoming we felt like nobody care. A bit pushy too. I’m from Canada and Every time I come to NYC I eat at Casa Mono But t this time is the last one. Food was ok and not a big choice of wine by the glass

    At Casa Mono everything is delicious. Choosing only 4-6 dishes to share is such a difficult decision and you can’t go wrong. We will definitely be back!

    Arrived early and asked the host to seat us at a corner 2-top instead of the 2-top in the middle of the room, which was right under the speakers and very loud. (I’m hard of hearing, and informed her of this.) She declined with an explanation that made no sense and then when (gently)pressed, replied brusquely, “I can’t do it.” Fifteen minutes later, she sat another couple there, who were still there when we left the restaurant. Given that this was a reasonable request at a rather expensive restaurant, and no explanation was given, this behavior was off putting and unacceptable.

    Lunch is the time to go for quieter noice levels. And you can't beat the opportunity to try multiple delicious dishes. Love their perfectly cooked scallops w delicious sauce one of the best things I have ever tasted ever.

    Amazing service, the staff seemed seamless ready for the guests that were seated and waiting for their tables. I felt super comfortable seated at the chefs table. We had a nice convo with chef Diego who was super hospitable and knowledgeable about their creations. He even gave us a special treat complimentary for dessert. Would Love to Make this place regular for an imitate date night with my partner. 5 stars times 100. 100 percent would recommend to anyone who is interested in trying a nice cozy Spanish eatery off of Irving st, serving dishes that would make you feel at home yet out for dinner.

    Second time back, if I have to say one word it would be consistent. Both in food quality and service. No fluck they have a gazzilion Michelin Stars. Raquel was a wonderful host and Chef Jonathan went out of his way. Considering he's the Chef of a Michelin Star restaurant, you have to appreciate his willingness to stop by and say hello to a patron that requested to say thank you in person. Awesome! We'll be back everytime we're in NYC.

    The dishes were excellent really delicious as usual. The sommelier knowledgeable, amiable and cordial. The service/waiter not so much- 15-20 minutes after we sat at our table we were told that they needed the table by 7:30. We finished our dinner around 7:15. Around 7:40 after ignoring us walking by us about 5 times and not offering a dessert menu the waiter came back with the bill and walked away without a word about dessert. When he came back for the bill 15min later I asked for the dessert menu and he emphatically said to us “I told you we needed the table by 7:30 it is 7:41 now (it wasn’t it was later) and I can’t offer you dessert only a chocolate mousse - we need the table now” . The people at the table next to us all looked at us — heard what was going on. I declined the dessert they offered, but they brought it anyways. We put our cards and the waiter did not pick up the bill someone else did. In all the time they took to bring the bill - ask us to leave - pick up the bill - they could’ve offer the dessert menu and even perhaps prepares/ serve the dessert that I wanted. But I guess they just wanted us out of there because they did not even offer to sit us somewhere else. One of the people sitting next to us came up to me while waiting on the line for the bathroom and told me that they had seen how rude they were and how the restaurant had essentially kicked us out for no apparent reason. I had been to Casa Mono many times, brought many friends to dine there, always a great experience until this past Friday.
