Razor Clams a la Plancha
Confit Goat with Avocado Queso, Scallion Ash and Sicilian Pistachios
Scallops with Serrano Pepper Green Curry and Minted Cashews
Some of the best food I’ve had in NYC.
Close quarters outside. Food excellent. Jamin iberica not worth 50.00 dollars
Casa Mono is both expensive and no longer worth it. There are some decent dishes to be sure. The tomato bread is good. The chaucuterie platter is OK. The Iberico ham, at $50 for a small portion is what it is-if you are flush and love the taste it is fine but for many it will be an unnecessary extravagance. I didn't care for the grilled peppers in a kind of cheese sauce at all. The menu badly needs updating, the prices need to be reconsidered-$35 for a portion of skirt steak is really not appropriate, and with the coming of cooler weather, the outdoor dining terrace will no longer be a viable option. If you want Spanish food or tapas in NYC-there are other spots.
One of the city’s longstanding restaurants remains as special as always. Elegantly detailed Spanish cuisine at its best. One of the most unsung wine lists in town too. Professional service. They haven’t skipped a beat through all the travails of the pandemic either. Bravo…
Amazing food! Amazing people! Will definitely plan to go again and again!
Food is out of this world
Incredible food, every dish impressed with their creativity and deliciousness. Great service and value, muy bien!
Wonderful as always
Would have been 5 stars for food if the saltiness had been restrained.
Lovely and close to the subwY
Casa Mono never disappoints. The food, atmosphere and service was outstanding!
I highly recommend to all my friends.
Efficient and very friendly service. Love the taste and the portions of the food(just the right size).
First time dining here even though it's been on "the list" for a while. We had a wonderful dinner with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Impressed by the menu, service and delicious wine list.
Lovely dinner outdoors. Service was outstanding - friendly staff across the board.
Extraordinary food! The razor clams were an outstanding recommendation and must have. The pulpo and duck were the perfect size, flavor and happiness. I will definitely be coming here again and next time with the fam :) Yum!!
I’ve been eating at Casa Mono since it opened and am happy to report that the food, service, and wine list are better than ever. There are old standbys — sweetbreads, razor clams, skirt steak — and many new dishes on the menu; each executed perfectly. The only change I hate is the music which in a small, crowded, hard-surfaced space rise quickly to a level requiring one to shout to be heard. Don’t people like to converse any more as well as eat!?
Table was a bit small for three people but otherwise great
very expensive for what it is but the food, drinks, and service are lovely
Always a wonderful meal! Wine selection is perfect and the tapas style menu is fun to explore.
It was our first time to eat here, highly recommended by our friends. Enjoyed the experience, service was excellent and the food was unique and very tasty
Awesome place! Great food, not a single miss!
The prices were decent, making a reservation made it super easy. Great service and highly recommended!
We had a fantastic leisurely lunch at Casa Mono. The food was outstanding, especially the bone marrow and confit goat. Great selection of wine and sherry bu the glass, the oloroso was particularly good. A great time!
The food was absolutely delicious, but if you plan to sit outside, be aware that there’s very noisy construction well into the evening hours.
Delightful as usual.
Business lunch completely ruined by restaurants construction. workmen deciding to do construction 10 feet away from where we were eating making it literally impossible to hear across the table. Cannot comprehend why they would do this in the midst of the lunchtime rush instead of before 12 or after 2. Complained to the waiter multiple times. Skirt steak, scallops, burrata were absolutely delicious. Pepper stuffed with short rib had almost no meat. Potatoes were so under cooked you could barely cut with a knife
I asked for a table for 3. They gave me a very small table, appropriate for 2, even though I asked for one with more room. This is a tapas restaurant with lots of little plates. We spent the whole meal juggling plates. It just didn’t work. I liked this place last time, but this really soured me on the experience.
This restaurant used to be much better. Looks like their success has lowered the standards for quality in both food and service. It was also disappointing to see that kitchen staff and most waiters do not wear masks . They have one toilet that is not enough for the current capacity of guests and is not maintained well enough.
The highlight of the Menu used to be their razor clams but the last two times I visited they didnt have them... If you cant get them dont leave them on the menu.....
The food was good, but either food or service as expected for a 4 star Michelin.
The food is exceptional. I enjoyed the every dish I ordered.
Nice dinner in the streetery. Missed the razor clams though.
My experience there started off very rocky. While we were about to be seated, a girl at the host stand came up to us and in a very stern voice said "Just so you know, we need that table back at 7:30." What a horrible way to start of the experience. We weren't a walk in either, we had a reservation for 5:45.
After we were seated everything got much better. A great wait staff that knew the menu in and out (my wife is celiac). The food was incredible, especially the goat confit. The wine list is fantastic as well. I will be back, but hopefully that hostess won't be working that day. If not for her, my overall score would've been perfect.
Service and food were amazing!!!
A birthday lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious. Small tastings of so many delicious things. We were 3 people and ordered 7 different plates.
I have been a long time customer of casa mono. love everything!
The food was absolutely amazing. Each dish offered your palette a new tasting experience. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. It's a nice hidden gem on Irving. My wife and I loved that tapas type vibe, and the music helped round out the entire evening. Also, the wine selection was beautiful. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing! Our favorite meal in NYC so far. The food, ambiance were perfect. We enjoyed fantastic wine and a wonderful evening out. Would return in a heartbeat
Simply one of the best meals I've had in NYC.
