Excellent and unique choices. A little cool in the outside "Booth" but better than not.
It’s okay service is okay drinks are good . But too expensive
The food was good but not great or worth going out of your way for especially for the price. The waiter was great and nice outdoor set up during covid, was warm enough to take off my jacket on a cold night in mid January.
Fantastic food. It was a chilly day for outdoor dining, but it is what it is. Food more than made up for it.
Casa mono is the best spot in the city for small plates and BIG flavors. My wife and I try and go every few weeks for lunch as it is comfy, quiet, and delicious.
Highly recommend. 110/100
The food is tapas style and delicious! Anna was our waitress and she was great! Highly recommend and will go back
The outdoor patio is great and warm, the food and wine are just as good as when I dined indoors, and the staff is very helpful. It’s a calm, welcoming environment for a dinner out.
The food was only matched by our amazing waiter’s knowledge and personality. Brilliant.
Making the best of these difficult times Casa Mono continues to deliver welcoming hospitality, knowledgeable service and excellent cuisine. ¡Gracias, gracias, gracias!
Outdoor seating was well heated, tables well separated, with plexiglass dividers between the ones closest together. Food was marvelous, service friendly and helpful. One of the best pandemic eating experiences I've had.
A lot of options and amazing all of them
My favorite restaurant! Worth braving the weather for
Food is always great but service team was so nice. In these Covid times it is hard so so hard. The are serving in cold cold temps and so great. Thanks!
Food was good
Service was inconsistent
I like it a lot last year until today when we went to sit in the clod during the pandemics but server made everything worse. Will never go back Ever again.
Perfection. From food to drink to service.
We had eaten here about 2 months ago and the food was well seasoned. This time it was very salty as though the chef wasn’t confident in their cooking. The service was very good as was the wine. All and all disappointing.
Have been to restaurant a couple of times and always thought it was great. Such a disappointment last Sunday evening.
Host was rude , just pointed to a table. Took 2o minutes for a server to come (was joking with my friend that we should just leave.)
Service was very slow. Food was just BAD. Stale bread. Too much garlic in everything. Waiter could not produce a steak knife for the steak.
Maybe things were off because it was a Sunday - but really no excuse.
Excellent food. Everything was delicious, novel but balanced. Standouts were - Sobrasada with Honeycomb and Quince Mermelada & Crema Catalana con Buñuelos. I can't wait to come back!
Lovely day for a lovely meal. The fidoa was by far our favorite dish. 😍
Simple flavor profiles and ingredients done in a masterful, upscale way. The outdoor seating was a notch above the other attempts to accommodate pandemic dining in the street.
There was an abnormal amount of hostility from the staff as soon as I came. I know that there is an pandemic ongoing, but none of the hundreds of restaurants I had been during the 2020 pandemic in New York and 11 other cities in America, Europe, and Middle East have treated me with such hostility. It appears to be their policy. I was at an outdoor table, and waiters would refuse to approach my table unless I put a facemask on, while I'm sitting at the table. They made me feel like a leper and a criminal. It's a restaurant, not a hospital ward. Don't give these people any more money. Go to other places.
Great service! Great recommendations!

It was great dining at Casa Mono. On Irving it’s relatively quiet so not much noise from the cars. Tony was our server and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He gave us great suggestions and I would recommend going back based on that. He was able to adapt to my tight schedule and got me out on time so I was able to stay on time for the rest of the day.
This place is fantastic. Ideal for a special treat. Can't wait to go back!
It was great! Really wish the muscles were hot though
The food was excellent but we had some strange service at the beginning. First they didn’t want to sit us at a table far away from everyone though the place was rather empty. Then they changed their minds. My friend ordered a glass of rose and I couldn’t decide between 2 cavas and the waiter wouldn’t give me a taste of both! I have never heard of that. I said to him finally, bring her a taste and me a taste. After that, we were ignored for a very long time. Finally the waiter came to take our order and was actually very nice so I’m not sure what the story was. The place is pricey and there is no reason to be treated that way.
Food was excellent. Every bite full of flavor. Service was outstanding. It’s a gem!
Excellent. All around, excellent. For a good and special meal, Casa Mono never disappoints!
A minor criticism: we made a table request for our anniversary that was not honored. The place we ended up sitting was arguably better than the requested spot but still, something to note.
Absolutely delicious!!
Outdoor dining. Food is impeccable as always and waitstaff friendly and helpful.
Fabulous as always!
Loved sitting outside - the food is both delicious and interesting. Service was great. We live nearby and we’re so happy that so many restaurants are still around. So important to the neighborhood
My favorite spot in the city. It’s incredible. Highly recommend.
Birthday dinner. Service was wonderful.
Our waiter was super nice and attentive. Food portions were generous.
Great service and food.
I feel that I needed to write this in response to a review posted on 11/09/20. I felt the review was unfair to the waitstaff, so I wanted to share our experience.
If, as she claims, she has been to “hundreds of restaurants” in “…New York and 11 other cities in America, Europe and the Middle East” during the pandemic is true, then I think it is entirely appropriate that the waitstaff, or anyone else for that matter, ask her to put her mask on. Her dining out at hundreds of restaurants in 12 cities across the globe during the months of the pandemic places all at risk. If--what she says is the truth…
Hundreds of restaurants— in 12 cities— on different continents— during the pandemic—
would be quite a feat.
We have dined outside at Casa Mono 3 times during the pandemic. At no time did any server ask us to put our masks back on before they would approach the table to serve, replace silverware or pour water. We kept our masks on when initially ordering, but then had them off through most of the meal, although we try and put them on when we know someone is approaching the table, but sometimes we are not that fast.
The servers here are dedicated professionals and we would hate to see a negative review such as this affect their business. Given the number of positive reviews, I doubt it will.
Contrary to her advice, we will continue to give this restaurant and the staff our “money”.
In fact, her “review” has prompted us to make our next reservation.
The steak are so delicious👍🏻
Razor clams were a highlight
The ONLY drawback was the slightly too dark outdoor dining due to the covid-19 pandemic. But this was restaurant was on my desired go-to list for a longtime and my only regret was that I hadn’t gone years ago. Phenomenal food! Keep in mind however that the dishes are tapas so they are small.
