Razor Clams a la Plancha
Confit Goat with Avocado Queso, Scallion Ash and Sicilian Pistachios
Skirt Steak with Romesco and Onion Mermelada
Such wonderful choices for food and unbelievable wine list. The staff always treats you right
I have been going to Casa Mono for a long time, and this time the food was not quite as good as usual: overcooked razor clams, and sweetbreads so coated with breading and nuts that the sweetbreads themselves were not tastable. Very good wine, and soft scrambled eggs and bread and olives....
Insanely good tapas. Specialty iberico jamon is a must
The restaurant week menu had no selection just a fixed appetizer and entree. Both were perfect, the salad was very crisp and the manchego cheese added to the flavor, the entree was grilled dorada fish which was perfectly cooked with crispy skin. A very enjoyable meal.
What else could be said, outstanding in every way, and we really enjoyed the seafood offering for restaurant week!
The food set off an explosion of amazing flavors and textures in my mouth...and my nose caught wave after wave of intoxicating aromas. The people engaged us with smiles that said, "I really care." After being unable to see each other during the pandemic, we celebrated Italy's opening its borders and New York opening its streets. Next? My friend from Morocco.
Arrived at 4:45 for 5:15PM reservation. Empty restaurant. Told we could not be seated until our 5:15 reservation. Requested indoor seating when finally allowed to sit at 5:15 (still 80% empty in restaurant). Was told, "you need to give table back by 6:15." We sat at 5:15, server didn't come over to take orders until 5:30, drinks weren't poured until 5:40, first course arrived at 6:15, second arrived at 6:30. They didn't take the table back at 6:15, but rudeness of host and stress created by timing was extremely unpleasant - especially when service was inattentive/slow throughout dinner. Shame - this place used to be phenomenal. Hope they retrain/improve host and wait staff to provide an experience that is as high-caliber as the food they serve.
Service was non-existent, I would have ordered more drinks but I only saw my waitress once.
definitely a must visit place if you're a fan of tapas/spanish cuisine
As always great food and service from one of our favourite restaurants in NYC.
First time since Covid
The food was amazing and full of flavor.
The sweetbreads tasted better than I recall.
The only thing I wish they still had on their menu are the razor clams.
The food, the service, the ambiance were superb. Definitely making this place my go to for tapas
This place was truly outstanding. Spanish tapas meets Michelin star quality. A winning combination.
All small dishes are delicious and We can enjoy with wines. I like to watch open kitchen and always fresh foods are served. I think they are always busy but not overwhelming services. I can be relaxing and enjoying to dine.
In one word ‘extraordinary’ ! Best Spanish restaurant in NY!
Three of us enjoyed the Restaurant Week lunch even though the menu was limited. Two of us had eaten here a few rimes when the restaurant first opened and we continued to enjoy the food. The service was ez relent.
The service attitude is very bad!!! Will never go to again!
Our server, Antonio was very courteous and helpful for the choice of foods and wines.
It was a little disappointing that on the day they did not have razor-clam and sardine that we wanted to try for sure.
As for the noise level, it was too much in the beginning since a workman was sawing some panels and pillars right next to us. Even thought it lasted only a short while, it was disturbing enough. Could they not have done that king of work while guests were not present?
Otherwise, foods and services were very good and we would like to come back for another dishes and wines.
Food is good. Service is not good.
it was so good, the waiter was so good, there was a point when the music turned on and it got a little loud. My friend and I sat outside and the weather was perfect.
Outstanding food; not much for Vegans/Vegetarians. Service is perhaps "European style"...seated at table, waited 10 minutes for menus, and another 10 for wait staff to come over. Very loud. If you're a cheese fan, order on the light side...there's a great-looking cheese plate on the dessert menu that I was too full to attempt.
We loved this restaurant. Very interesting menu. Shared 8 dishes and really loved them all. Particularly the Dorado and the sardines w endive and the goat…
We went there mostly for the Jamón Ibérico we have seen on their website but it wasn't on the menu, which was a bummer. Besides that, the food was nice, especially the razor clams which were delicious. It was a bit pricey too, but I will probably go back eventually as I enjoyed it all in all.
Great food at a very acceptable price. All dishes were very tasty, and I look forward to returning and trying others.
We just happened to eat here and we’re so lucky we did. Service was very warm and professional, food was outstanding, we will be back! Thank you!
Simply outstanding. Great attention to detail. Every plate well executed. Pork belly amazing.
A nice place, where I've always been a bit surprised that the food is as good as it is. Today was no exception. All our food was extremely tasty. The portions were extremely small meagre. though we all are small eaters. Make sure you order a starter, in addition to dessert(we ordered it) or you'll certainly need to eat when you get home Service was quite pleasant, though one jarring note: At home, I checked before coming your wine list. It said that Valdespino Innocente was #13 for 375 ml., Waitress brought a small glass. Told her menu said 375 ml. She brought the half bottle, but when we got the bill, I was charged @35. Complaining about this sizable difference, I was shown the menu, which in the restaurant said$13/$35. I paid, though most unhappily; a real downer to an otherwise pleasant meal Website should be corrected, at the very least.
Love to ho there , every time is better like before.
Very inventive cuisine and lovely staff
Attractive outdoor dining space in charming gramercy park neighborhood
Nice food, not really worth the price. Patatas Barabas is not what I am used too. Kampachi and scallops are good.
Wow. Just wow. Best meal we’ve had in years. Excellent service. The pacing of the servings was perfect. Recommend highly
Consistently good, though the menu has shrunk a little.
We went for lunch and being a Michelin star restaurant, we were excited for the experience and offerings. Everything met our expectations and then some. The razor clams were amazing in the garlic sauce, so tender and tasty. The skirt steak over the romesco with the onions was so delicious. The pork belly was made perfectly with the right amount of crisp and flavor. The Burrata and mushrooms complemented each other. The patatas bravas were a nice twist to the traditional dish. Finally the crema catalana was just enough, perfect consistency and the bay leaf buñuelos were the finishing touch. Would definitely go back — was worth the price point for the offerings, size of the tapas and overall composition and experience.
Very good food. Especially burrata.
Been going for years and always an exceptional experience . Y’day, however, was sub par and disappointing . The entire staff seemed miserable and boy interested in being there . This from the onset, the host who was unwelcoming at best . Several items were not available despite being on the menu. For an already limited menu this doesn’t make for much choice . Not in a hurry to go back.
The waiter used to work as a chef and (when asked) gave fabulous details about the preparation of the food, which was superb!
If you are looking for a delicious dinner, great service and good location, Mono is the best place to go for it.
Small bathroom. Before it was ok but now having outdoor tables, more ppl... I had to line up to use the bathroom which is not pleasant at all.
