We go to Casa Mission every time we come to Cozumel. This time was very special because we took fresh Mahi Mahi that my husband and his friend had caught the day before and the chef prepared it for us. It was delicious! We also had their delicious sexy coffee.
We always love Casa Mission, it is one of the 1st places we go to when in Cozumel which has been every other year since 2010. The food is good, the service is great and the sexy coffee is a must for the presentation alone!!
The only thing I would recommend is that they have specials since their menu has not changed since we've been going there.
NEVER A DISAPOINTMENT! Go and go back again and again....
The service was horrendous. Waited 10 minutes for water after asking for water twice. Had to ask for a server to order an appetizer. The restaurant had 5 tables and it was quiet. Had to track our server down again to place an order. Asked for a glass of wine twice. Then asked for a second with my dinner never got it. 3 of the 4 adult entrees were cold. Potatoes were not cooked steaks that were supposed to medium were blue rare and cold. Medium rare steaks were burnt and dried out and cold. The lobster was cold and rubbery. The garlic butter was tasteless. They had a person come and take our picture. It was 400 Pesos, I gave him 500 and he came back 5 minutes later that they didn’t have change but for another 100 Pesos they would give me a better frame. I asked for my money back and he hesitated and said he would look for change. I demanded my money back and he reluctantly gave it back. After we received our meals a second time not cooked correctly but at least hot. I asked for the check. Not once wait 5 minutes not twice wait 5 more minutes. So I went to the lady’s table that does the billing. I asked for my bill.If you don’t like it it’s free. And they removed the charges.
Casa Mission was once a jewel of Cozumel. Now it’s a sad lazy bygone restaurant.
It was our second visit to Casa Mission, and again we had a great time. The food is very good, even though they don't have a huge variety of choices. Great fish and seafood. Friendly staff and a little extra treat watching the preparation of "sexy coffee". We plan to go back to Cozumel again, and will very likely visit Casa Mission next time.
Nice meal and good food- tasty steak and good Caesar. A bit slammed for a Tuesday night.
Unique experience with very nice music and entertainment
If you're looking for amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and reasonable prices for fine dining this is the place. The grounds consist of a walled full city block, beautiful grounds and gardens, and are a part of the owner's personal residence. We enjoyed a Shrimp Cocktail and Shrimp & Avocado appetizers, Paradiso and Caesar salads, Lobster House Specialty, deserts and drinks. The Shrimp & Avocado appetizer was outstanding as was the Caesar salad. The lobsters were large and perfectly prepared. The staff was attentive without being over-bearing, extremely polite and knowledgeable. Our waiter had worked there for over 30 years and the restaurant had been in the owner's family for more than 50 years. If you want and memorable dinner away from crowds, tourists and noise, Casa Mission is perfect!
Recommended by acquaintances we met. Had the Surf & Turf (filet and lobster) - awesome! Ribeye steak - excellent. Mexican platter - very good , but highly recommend the steaks. Beautiful setting! Can’t say enough.
Our second time there; the food and service was as good as the first time which is why we went back the second time. We were surprised when the manager welcomed us back; and may again on our next trip to the island.
Amazing place. Lobster tail is melt in your mouth. Get the sexy coffee! You won’t be disappointed!
Our party of 8 enjoyed enjoyed our New Years Eve meal on the patio. It was a beautiful evening and the first time we have dined in the gardens. The dinners were superb as always and our friends who were with us who had not dined there previously were very impressed with the food, the atmosphere and the entire wait staff. The young man who made our sexy coffees was a delight and the coffee was a wonderful way to cap off the evening. We will come back on our next visit to Vozuml.
Fantastic food, service and environment!
Casa Mission is a must if you are visiting Cozumel.
The food, service and ambiance are excellent.
Every year it is the highlight of our trip the day before we leave.
Favorite place in the world
Fabulous and intimate.
We came back to Casa Mission after 21 months in our next trip to Cozumel. We were celebrating our Brother in law birthday and we were a group of 9. We loved it the first time and were not disappointed the second. We would recommend Casa Mission to anyone who wants a high quality meal in a traditional hacienda.
They served us tainted alcohol... thank god I drank wine. One margarita and my date can't remember dinner! Have fond memories of the place from several trips there over the years but I won't return!
Great authentic Mexican food. Beautiful premises. Highly recommended!!!
A 5-Star Find for Finer Dining Outdoors in their beautiful garden, fabulous food and service at reasonable prices. Superb!
Lovely setting a little bit away from the downtown and crew ship crowd. Staple Mexican cuisine with delicious handcrafted margaritas Tableside guacamole and lime soup supplied with the meal
Confusing have so many waiters at various times coming to the table. Should have one assigned waiter who stays throughout the meal. Wonderful ambience.
Was out anniversary lunch on shore during a cruise ship stop. The margaritas were excellent along with the main course. I had surf and turf. The steak was cut with my fork. And cooked perfect.
I've been to Casa Mission 3x between 2009 and 2017... in my opinion, it has become a bit relaxed in its presentation and it's urgency to impress. It is still a noteworthy fine dining, Mexican venue. Perhaps they are riding the notoriety and have become a little sloppy. Not terribly sloppy... Just a little. Food was very good. Ambiance is still very good. Mariachi band is excellent :)
We absolutely loved Casa Mission. The staff really made us feel special on our date there. the ambiance of the restaurant was something unforgettable. What really stood out was the food. the bacon wrapped shrimp and the surf-n-turf were magical. This place alone would make us return to Cozumel. I hope you try it, we were glad we did.
Always a pleasure
Food always constantly good
Beautiful place
Setting, ambiance, and flaming coffee at the end of the meal made Casa Mission a very special night indeed!
Delicious authentic Mexican food with a great attentive staff. The property is a traditional Hacienda style setting that is private and set back from the busy roads. You feel like you're in the Mexican countryside....just beautiful.
Excellent authentic food, ambiance and service. We were on a cruise ship that was in Cozumel until 10:pm. We made a 7:00 pm reservation and were back on the ship by nine. By the way, did I mention that we were serenaded.
Disappointed in service and attitudes, and then my food was served cold. Sent it back and it came back partially warmed.
As always a delightful evening at Casa Mission. Great menu and always a great meal. Especially like the musicians that play in the evening.
A local suggested we dine here for good Mexican food and atmosphere. They served the best gaucomole and pico de gallo! Very much enjoyed our evening.
it was the best meal we had all week, also the best service . it was hard to tell who our eaitor was because they all waited on us . best value also
Restaurant building has distinctive Spanish Colonial architecture with interior Catholic iconography, dining is in covered patio, extensive landscaped grounds. Food is quite adequate, though not outstanding. The lemon tortilla soup is excellent.
Each time we vacation on Cozumel we spend at least one or two evenings dining and enjoying everything Casa Mission serves.
Casa Mission was a wonderful dining experience. My friends and I were in Cozumel for a week and ended our trip with dinner at Casa Mission as well as a tequila tasting. Everyone was so friendly, the location of the restaurant was gorgeous, and the food was amazing. The prices also could not be beat. Fresh lobster, fish, and shrimp for low costs! We also got to enjoy the making of 'sexy coffees', which was a big presentation. I would highly recommend Casa Mission to anyone traveling to Cozumel as it will be your most favorite stop!
Did my research and thought it would be good. It turned out to be GREAT. Next time there I will go again. If you are looking for real Mexican food, freshly made, this is the place to go.
Best restaurant we ate at while in Cozumel. Great food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
