New Year’s Eve dinner
We had an excellent time! The food was superb, the staff accommodating and the whole deal was extremely well orchestrated. You put the thanks back in thanksgiving.
God willing and the creek don’t rise, we’ll be back next year!
It was a bit confusing as to how it worked. We were in the lounge section and someone “pointed “ us to where our table was. Then it took at least 5 minutes for the server to come. We had to ask how to proceed. Although she was very nice we had to keep looking for her for help. Walking across the entry to get to the food was frustrating as there were people coming in, people leaving and those with full plates of food that we had to navigate through. Then no one picked up our dirty plates! You definitely needed more servers for the amount of people there. My suggestion is each room should have their own food station which would alleviate all the confusion. You wouldn’t lose any seating as the tables would replace the food station.
We hadn’t eaten here for a few years and we were craving prime rib, so we decided to go here since Casa Mia at the Hawthorne and the original Hawthorne always featured prime rib. The cut was huge and the quality was excellent. The only slightly negative thing was the waiter. His service was fine but he was a little bit too much “in your face”.
1. Noted on reservation that it is a anniversary special event. Neither the hostess nor the waitress mentioned a word of congratulations!
2. Ordered KING size prime rib that came with a table spoon size horseradish sauce. Asked for more sauce, came wit another spoonful of sauce that's straight from a bottle.
3. The waitress added $5 to the bill for the additional spoonful of sauce.
The food was excellent! The server brought the incorrect appetizer to the table as well as the incorrect beer. The noise level was not energetic, it was overwhelming. Between competing bands of a wedding in the main ballroom and a pop cover band in the lounge added to children from the wedding running up and down the front hallway laughing and yelling, my wife and I couldn’t even have a normal dinner conversation. I’ve been going to Casa Mia intermittently dating back 40 plus years. This was my least enjoyable experience.
The service was OK. We never received our pitcher of water on the table, one person in the party never received their ice for their drink & another person had to wait for a extra dish and it took long for our food to come out.
Always delicious! Love the supper club vibe with music!
Great food, as always. Our server, Tiana, was awesome!
As always great food. Supper Club feel these days. Valente Bros. band always brings it. Dance floor open!
Always outstanding food!
Enjoyed the band and being able to dance!
I wrote a review and it was taken down. I guess they did not want to publish that 3 out of 5 people who attended my occasion yesterday got sick overnight. The manager Lauri told me to give her a doctors report. Well
Today is Sunday and I don’t know of any doctors that have offices that are open on Sundays. It must be nice that you can chose and erase whatever reviews you like or don’t like.
Dear Mr. Aksamit, We understand that you are upset but please verify the facts before falsely accusing us again. On Google you blame us for your failed surprise even though your OpenTable notes indicated "birthday cake' only. Now you are accusing us of erasing that review when that is impossible for any business to do. Your comments are still visible. After all these false accusations it seems only fair to ask for a doctors note when accused of serving bad food in order to act accordingly.
Overall we really enjoyed our brunch. Two issues that arose was it took way too long to get our drinks (mimosas) and the first cup of coffee served was cool. The clearing of the plates was very prompt. The dessert table had a plethora of choices and everything was fresh and delicious. One suggestion would be to have a coffee bar set up by the desserts.
Always an outstanding meal! Papardelle to die for! So good to have live music! Good adherence to Covid rules and social distancing.
Great food and service!
Food and service was outstanding. Angela took care of and anticipated our every need. She made our dining experience friendly and family orientated.
Very good service
Me encanto el lugar todo organizado y con sus medidas por el COVID
I took my wife out for Valentine's to Casa Mia thinking it was going to be a romantic place to go to and have dinner. We got seated right away, waited almost 25 minutes to get greeted by our waiter, it took only 25 minutes because the floor manager came to our table and asked if someone has come to our table yet. Waiter finally came over and apologized, she offered the first round of drinks and we accepted the offer.
The background music was not what we expected for the occasion (I'll keep it at that). We told the floor manager and he fixed it for 10 minutes and then the same music came back on. We didn't know what to do. This wa the first time we experience something so bad and it took us off guard.
The appetizers were amazing, my meal was cooked at temperature but my wife's was over cooked. My wife doesn't like to complain, neither do I but I wanted her to enjoy her meal. I got up and pretended to go to the bathroom and told the floor manager that my wife meat is over cooked and that she doesn't like to complain but I want her to enjoy her meal, he acknowledged my concern and walked over to our table just to ask my wife if everything was okay. He didnt apologize, nor fix the mistake.
In the middle of this, the waiter asked my wife if I didn't like my meal and my wife said that I do like my meal, that I just went to the bathroom.
When I came back to our table, I asked my wife, the manager came over? she said yes. I asked her what he said because I still saw her plate in front of her. She said, he asked if everything was okay and I said yes. At this point I was already frustrated and I put my plate to the side and lost my appetite.
Waiter comes over and asked if everything was okay and I said; My meal is cooked to temperature but my wife isn't. She looked concerned and asked if she should get a manager. My wife and I looked at each other and said nooo that's okay.
There is more to this story but button line is:
WE WOULD NOT GO BACK NOR RECCOMEND CASA MIA
We booked as a last minute Valentine’s Day dinner. For the most part, the food was pretty average. Our app and meals were just a little above what I’d expect at an Outback Steakhouse or similar chain restaurant. Unfortunately, the price was 2-3 times what I would expect for the quality of food received. My $44 bone-in ribeye steak was burnt, raw, and mostly fat. Sides were decent but nothing mind blowing.
Creme brûlée was fantastic. Service was top notch as well.
I’ve eaten at this restaurant before. Expectations were not met. The wait staff was friendly, but they did not get our orders completely right. We waited a very long time for our meals. The food was just mediocre. For my money, it was disappointing.
Food was good. Waitress was extremely sweet. However, service was slow due to under staffing. It was a holiday, so I'll definitely try again on a regular day.
Nice atmosphere and very good service. We ordered 4 prime ribs and all were very bland and tough to cut.
The salmon was a bit over seasoned.
Great brunch and wonderful service. I would highly recommend. I look forward to going back for dinner.
Always amazing food with awesome service from Paulie! Valente Brothers Band was so much fun!
Excellent food and awesome staff! Prime rib special is the best! Yummy
As usual, outstanding! Amazing bone in Rib Eye. Paulie our server is the best!
No raspberries for Raspberry Martini as listed on menu.No sour cream for baked potato.
Food was delicious and drinks were so tasty. Done to perfection and I do not say that casually. Very friendly staff and very helpful. I had a great night. Will come again.
Casa Mia at the Hawthorne NEVER disappoints! Amazing meal in the outdoor "cafe" area they set up. Terrific service by Paulie!
Everything we ate was amazing ! Service was perfect our server was super awesome ! Will definitely be back !
Chicken tenders and short ribs sliders were very good. Osso Buco was all bone and the Polpettoni was just OK a little dry. We all had the house wine which really was not all that great, The service was outstanding, very attentive and professional.
Always an amazing meal. Pappardelle & Chicken Picatta to die for. Our server Paulie is the man!
The food had large portions and have high prices. The vegetables were nice but the food was not well-seasoned.
Delicious food, great waitstaff❣️ Staff makes you feel so welcome.
This was our first time there. We will definitely be back. Everything was fantastic!!
Wait staff was very friendly and restaurant is clean and pleasant looking. Food was excellent and wide selection of wines, beers, and cocktails. Being mid-winter, the temperature was cooler than normal inside, so dress accordingly if you are adverse to the cold.
It was FREEZING in our room. We were there on a Thursday night for our company holiday dinner. There were six of us. We were in a room with one other large party and no one else. There was a lively band in the bar area and we could hear the music from there - which sounded great, but I can't think of a thing that was festive about our room - it was just cold.
The coat rack was too full to hold our coats, one of our people had to go find some more coat hangers and double our coats up. There was a definite cigarette smell coming from somewhere, we couldn't figure out where.
I believe we all had some sort of steak and I didn't hear any complaints about that. No one liked the Del Monico potato (a "twice baked, scalloped" potato with white sauce on top) and no one liked the mashed potatoes which some thought had melted cheese in it. One person's vegetables were cold. We had three pieces of cake, all of which seemed to come straight out of the coldest part of a refrigerator.
No complaints about our server.
Food was excellent service very good
