The staff are wonderful.
Great drinks, amazing food, and wonderful service! I will absolutely be back!
The quality of the food was subpar. thought the food was barely average. felt meat was tuff overcooked with no flavor. i felt ripped off by the price we paid.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!
This was our third time going to Komali's. Some of the stand-out dishes we had were the chicken enchiladas and chile relenos. The guacamole is a one of their signature dishes-fresh and very delicious. Likewise, their tortilla chips are outstanding with their green tomatillo and red salsa dips. Casa Komali's is a must return restaurant and a top "real" mexican restaurant in Dallas.
One of our favorites. Attentive staff, great food and to die for spicy margaritas.
This place is always excellent! Love many items on the menu, this time I had Seared Scallops which was a specials, just delicious!
Casa Komali is a hidden gem. We love this restaurant! The food is always consistently fabulous and delicious. Super gracious wait staff. We went to their brunch Sunday for the first time and it was wonderful. Mimosas and food excellent!
The restaurant is small and quant and the food authentic coastal Mexico. The Salmon is my favorite. Try the quest fundiso for an appetizer also the brisket nachos.
You cannot go wrong.
Enjoyed the food and drinks; however, service was very slow.
Great experience! Small but diverse menu - everything was delish. Highly recommend!
Loved everything about this restaurant: decor, service and the food!
Food was excellent!! Service is outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!
Highly recommend Komali for your next dinner party or meal! Everything tonight was wonderful for our daughter’s birthday celebration. The staff was very accommodating and extremely attentive to us the entire evening, ensuring our individual party’s needs were met. Everyone working at Komali was cheerful and gracious to us both in the planning and at the event. Ricardo, Francisco, and Tyler were especially good to us this evening. The food was excellent-delicious, fresh and served hot. I am not very easy to impress with service and food, but Komali exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was perfect, and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you so much making our daughter’s celebration extra special!
I love Casa Komali! The food is always cooked to perfection. My favorite is the salmon. You cannot beat their margaritas and their service is friendly and accommodating. My friends and I go there whenever we are in Dallas. You will not be disappointed.
Love this restaurant!❤️
The food was great. The salsa was fresh and was seasoned appropriately. Service was great.
We had a very nice dinner at Casa Komali. The menu has changed since our last time there, with more casual additions ,but keeping some of their standout classics like the salmon in banana We started with the queso Fundito , which was good but seemed to have a little more “:oil” in it than in the past. One of us had a chili relleno which was very good, another had the chicken in green Mole sauce , and another had the shrimp in poblano sauce which was also good
We had the house margaritas , which were very tasty, and were pleased to see that there is now a more moderate price for a margarita here.
We had a delightful evening, great food and great service. Will be back soon. Plus they take reservations for 4!
The server was pleasant and helpful. At least initially, the restaurant was quieter than most in Dallas. Before we left, a group was seated near us, and it got much louder. The food was a true disappointment. I ordered chicken enchiladas, and they were not even as good as at a chain Mexican restaurant. The tortillas used to wrap the chicken were limp and soggy, the chicken was all dark meat, and not seasoned.
My friend ordered the stuffed poblano pepper and said it was fine, but ate very little of it. I think she was being polite because I was treating her for her birthday.
Also, I noted on the reservation, that the dinner was a birthday celebration, but there was no mention of that by the server.
All in all, a very disappointing experience.
Outstanding food and service. We have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in the Dallas area and Casa Konami is by far our favorite.
I wanted to experience this restaurant due to the fact that Chef Hugo’s San Miguel was one of my most favorite restaurants in Dallas when it was open. I was disappointed in the brunch and the atmosphere. It is fine for a lunch probably and will come back to see if it is any better. But for brunch there were multiple mistakes made in our orders. The waiter was very nice and apologized for the mistakes but even the second time 1 order was still wrong. THe noise was ridiculous. Sound bouncing of the walls, floors and ceiling... We were a table of six and had a very difficult time hearing each other due to the noise. And this was at 11:30 am and not even the more active times. Disappointed over all but will go back during the week for maybe a late lunch early dinner to give it a second go.
Had a great time, enjoyed the food, not too noise so we could actually hear each other
So glad we found on open table. We can see ourselves becoming regulars. Everything excellent.
This place is great. If you want to have a first rate dinner with friends where the food is excellent and the noise level low, dine here!
Food was excellent. Always fresh! Service was great. Highly recommend this place for any occasion.
Continue to be impressed with both food and service at Komali.
I would like to start off by complimenting our server, Tyler. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and the margaritas were some of the best I’ve had. If you do not like spicy food, ask before you order.
We love their food and they have fabulous margaritas!!
We love Komali for dinner! The food is high quality, interesting, and flavorful. The staff is always personable, contributing to a fantastic dining experience.
Fine distinctive authentic and creative Mexican menu. All very enjoyable.
It annoys me that there is absolutely no parking, the valet company places cones in front of all spaces forcing you to valet, even spaces not owned by Cafe Komali. For this reason, we do not return.
Love this place!!
Why this place wasn't packed I'm not sure. Very VERY good food, outstanding & attentive waiter. Could actually carry on a conversation as the noise level was moderate. Super place to have a casual but very tasty dinner & drinks.
Went there for a birthday dinner. Everyone loved their meals and the ambiance of the restaurant. Our server was very nice even though the group I was with was a little loud gave excellent service.
Best brunch I've had in along time. The food is fresh, well seasoned, and delectable. Thank you for such a great brunch.
Delicious food and very friendly staff.
Always great service, and the food - exceptional! Thanks for a wonderful lunch.
This was my third visit to Casa Komali and all three have been delightful. The atmosphere is appealing and very comfortable, and the service is always excellent. The food is delicious and the presentation is superb. Casa Komali is on our top ten list of favorite restaurants in the Dallas area.
Sadly, Komali isn’t what it used to be, and the fact that it was so empty during Sunday brunch when it used to be packed with a wait for a table every weekend brunch tells me a lot. It has not been the same since the former owner left a few years ago. The food is decent. The drinks are perfect. The service isn’t the best. 15 minutes between the time my food came and my husband had his. I didn’t get the last beverage I ordered. My first drink was brought incorrectly. They advertised a make your own taco bar for weeks, and the clueless server said he would ask the chef and later came back to tell us he would do all you can eat tacos. I intentionally took my husband here for Father’s Day for the make your own tacos, so it was pretty disappointing as was the service. This happened to us once before here, so we will not be back.
We had a group of 18 people for Father's Day brunch and it was amazing! Most of us were from out of town and needed to catch different flights. They took really good care of us. They were efficient and professional and the food was amazing! The dads in the group felt special and had a great time! the drinks were great too and not too pricey! We will definitely be back and the folks in our group that were from Dallas have found a great new restaurant to enjoy! thank you so much Casa Komali!
Our waiter was amazing and the service was EXCELLENT! I wish I remembered his name, but he had great drink recommendations and was a pleasure talking to! Also, it was my first time enjoying Tres Leches!! Mmm...I'll be back for sure! 3rd times the charm...no EVERYtime I visit Casa Komali it's a CHARM!! Thank you!
We introduced friends to this restaurant and they loved it. The food - pork belly tacos, queso fundido, and chile en nogada - was delicious. The service was attentive without being overbearing. As an example the waiter noticed our friend took the lime from her husband’s beer and used it in her cocktail ; when she ordered a second cocktail it came with a lime. We’ll be back and so will our friends.
