We were not disappointed! Great food and great service.
I will definitely return.
I was in town for a soccer tournament with my 11 year old who was also celebrating his birthday. He loves italian food so we decided on giving Casa Italiana a try. The service was ok but the food was really good. I had an issue with my tab where they had charged me twice but one of the owners came out to talk with me. She was very nice and apologetic for the mishap. If you want good pasta dishes, I would definitely recommend Casa Italiana!
First time, not last. We went with another couple, all for the first time. Service was prompt and friendly. Server was knowledgeable and patient, because we wanted to have a drink and talk some before ordering. Menu was quite extensive for a relatively small restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their selection and while not cheap was certainly reasonable. If we had a complaint it would be noise level. Unfortunately that seems to be true almost everywhere these days. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend.
Waitress was nice. Food was pretty good! I had the lobster ravioli. Delicious!
It wasn’t where we had planned to go for dinner, but we were all glad we ended up there.
Jeannine was our server and she was awesome.
Always good, always consistent, and great selection
Our birthday party lunch celebration was a success here. Quiet, corner by window. Service was a little spotty but nothing too alarming. Meals I can remember that we ordered were lobster ravioli, turkey & artichoke sandwich, arugula salad. All were excellent. A few of us had wine; there was a good selection.
We appreciated everything about the restaurant, lovely place for our 2 year and the service was excellent as well
We ordered the signature spaghetti, they said they were making it in the back tonight. It didn’t taste nearly as good when it is made on the wheel of cheese. I had raved to the couple I brought how good it was and was disappointed. Maybe let people know when it’s not available.
Good Italian food with classic and modern dishes on the menu. Nice cocktails and wine selection. The risotto fries were delicious. Good service overall!
Good Italian food, friendly attentive service, very noisy and crowded, difficult for large groups.
Very nice Italian restaurant. Very cozy. Not too small a place but definitely not to large. Food was very good (we tried chicken parmesan and eggplant parmesan). Menu was pretty broad Italian so had most of everything. Waiters were attentive. Place had new and fresh feel.
Casa Italiana was an amazing experience. The food was awesome and the service was superb. Amanda and Adam showed us a really good time and their food recommendations were on point. The Veal Parmesan was easily one of best meals I’ve had in a while and my lady had the lobster ravioli which was incredibly flavorful and the presentation was gorgeous. The location is perfect for any occasion and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We will definitely return to try pretty much everything else on the menu.
There are very very few places in Richmond that serve authentic homemade and handmade Italian food. The food here was excellent!! Homemade fried mozzarella with Pomodoro sauce, a seafood dish with pasta that was spectacular, large ravioli with cheese, and to top it all off the best tiramisu I have ever tasted. This is truly a neighborhood gem that we happened to find and want to share with all of our friends!
I enjoyed it very much. Will definitely return and probably try for carryout since it's so close.
We had a great night on Valentine's day! My hubby made reservations there as we had never dined there before and it was a lovely surprise indeed! Our Server was super friendly and courteous and professional. The food was delectable, however the portion size could be a little more since it was dinner entree. We will definitely go back and recommend to others.
One of my favorite places I’ve ever been to after my first visit. We definitely will be back. Met the owners, all 3 are super funny and nice.
Now, let’s talk food. The food.... oh my god. The mushroom risotto was like BAM! Dropkick to the mouth with flavor. Freakin perfect. They also made grilled octopus, which was so flavorful. And the spaghetti in the cheese wheel.... freakin amazing.
Wow what a find! Staff was very friendly, owners and chefs very proud of their cuisine. It was Valentines night and the owners were going around to the tables and chatting about everything, not just about the food. We are going again tonight - can't wait to try the charcuterie board!
Great food, fun light-hearted environment...we’ll definitely be going back!!!
My girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary as well as Valentine's day. It was our first time eating here and we were very satisfied with the attentive service, the wide selection of food as well as our tasty meals. We plan on returning with friends.
This was our first visit and enjoyed the food and ambiance. Small and cozy with great food choices. Will go again in the future.
Great service.VERY disappointed they did not have their signature dish available(spaghetti al formaggio). That was entire reason we went to this restaurant.
Famiy restaurant with ecellent service and food. Their signature pasta frammagia is made and flamed in a cheese wheel. A light, tangy pasta dish that when garnished with one of there hardball sized meetballs will round off the entre nicely. Many homemade italian delicacies. Been there 4-5 times; service is consistantly helpful and provided by staff they are mostly family members of the owners. And their prices are very resonable and you call or use open table for a reservation. It has all the excellent trappings of a neighborhood restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
The food was very good. The eggplant rollatini and calamari apps were excellent. We had five different dinner entrees and all of them were very good/excellent. The special cake dessert was also excellent. I would definitely recommend Casa Italiana
This was my/our first visit after seeing one of the chefs on a local TV talk show. The food was exceptional and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The restaurant is very small and crowded and all the tables were occupied on this, a Saturday night. Consequently, the service began to slow down as the evening went on because the waitstaff was overwhelmed by the crowd size. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. And service was not truly slow. But the last part of our evening (dessert course) took a long time. I will definitely go back again and again but probably not on Saturdays.
Fantastic atmosphere, family owned. You can tell they really care and are so welcoming. It is one of the best Italian places in Richmond.
Pasta was fresh and well sauced. Their take on fried mozzarella was considerably better than the usual breaded sticks. Nice desserts too!
Four friends met for dinner. Each had a different entree and they were all delicious. Service was excellent and not rushed since we wanted to catch up. Server very helpful with suggestions for food and wine. Plan to visit often.
Great waitress, great food and ambiance. Second visit there was as great as the first one.
The food was delicious. The server was very nice and brought a free Birthday dessert which was also delicious.
We love this restaurant. We have become regulars. The food is consistently fresh, delicious, authentic Italian.
We had a group of 8. Every person enjoyed the meal, the seating, the ambiance, the wine and service. It was a really nice evening. We celebrated my mother-in laws bday. It was quiet enough for the elders but not too quiet. All in all, it was a perfect evening.
Food was outstanding!!! Fresh made mozzarella everyday. The pastas that we got were al dente, which is hard to find these days. Flavors were amazing.
We had outstanding service and impeccable food!! We have never been disappointed.
Saturday night dinner with friends and Casa Italiana was suggested. Met one of the owners upon arrival (Christie) and she was great. Service was excellent (Angie I believe) and the food was very good. Nice Barbera (red) bottle of wine for starters followed by a delicious caprese and Caesar salad. Veal dishes were tasty and portions generous. The pasta with meat sauce fantastic! All of the pastas and sauces are made in house which is always good in my opinion. When the bill came I was surprised to see that it was a very good value for what we received. It's hard to find good Italian food in RVA. Coming from Philadelphia where Italian food is plentiful and excellent it's a challenge here but Casa Italiana is a very good find and we will return soon. My only complaint is that the ambiance is not that great. It's not a romantic spot but it's quiet and comfortable and still worth visiting because of the quality of the food and the great service...
Consistently very good food and service. One of my favorites for lunch.
As usual this restaurant did not disappoint! Dinner was delicious!
Wonderful family run restaurant. The food is fabulous!!
Great dinner with excellent choices. Plan to make this a regular on our Friday nite out.
Service was slow, food was mediocre at best. Bland, bland, bland....and by the time our server finally remembered to bring the pepper grinder to add some flavor to our food, our dishes were cold. So disappointed!
