As an Italian American from the northeast I immediately related to the feeling of Sunday dinner, but definitely up a notch! A few weeks ago, my 78 year old dad us a meatball critic and LOVED theirs. So I took friends from out of town. This time I had the Branzino, which was on par with fancy high priced restaurants. The gluten free pasta is homemade! No store bought boxes coated with average sauce. The chef accommodates the sauce to your palate. The server knows the menu backwards and forwards and is patient with questions- every time. Can’t get that at a chain. Highly recommend for authentic Italian.

Loved this place…will definitely be back. Our waiter was helpful and charming. The food is fantastic with homemade pastas, sauces and salad dressings. Took 6 friends for a Birthday celebration and everyone loved their meal. Portions are large so we took leftovers home. Highly recommend.

My dish, linquine with clam sauce, was on the bland side. I made this once myself and people raved. We were squeezed in our booth and neither one of us is either skinny or real fat, so that was uncomfortable. I had been told they make all their own pasta, and they do--EXCEPT for the spaghetti. The bread was beautiful but also very bland. If I went to Azzuro, even the bread is devine. Side salad was also bland, and something in the greens did not agree with my tummy. I am so sorry. This restaurant was highly recommended by the wife of a genuine Italian chef!

This was our first experience at Casa Italiana, and I must say we were disappointed. The food was OK but the ambience was extremely loud. Our server seemed distracted and the service was slow. We may give it one more try.

It was our first time at Casa Italiana UT certainly won't be our last! Food cooked I the tradition of true Italian food, amazing service our Waitress Ursula was attentive, friendly. The owner chef was warm and welcoming it warmed our hearts to hear her toast a recent engagement of guests. Casa Italiana makes you feel like you are part of their family!

I used to be a regular patron of Casa Italiana when I lived in Richmond. I moved away and hadn't had a chance to visit again in about five years. My homecoming was just as I remembered it. All of my old favorites were still on the menu. This is a gem of a restaurant. I look forward to my next visit and pray it won't take another five years.

The food was tremendous, and the portions are very generous. Such a key that the pasta is home made. Cocktails were spot on, and our server was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it, if you like authentic Italian food.

My grandaughter wanted noodles. So we came to Casa Italiano. She is 7 and learning to be a Pen Pal. So after eating, we wrote her first letter. Adrian was gracious and attentive to us. We closed down the place, and she was gracious and kind.

Our server Tobias was very attentive, patient, kind and capable. The food was excellent. I snagged the last whole roasted branzino. It was delicious! Thank you for a nice evening with very dear friends.

We had a nice dinner at the Casa. Good service. High ceiling keep noise in check. My guest really enjoyed the bone in veal chop although she was surprised the gnocchi were fried. I was excited about seeing octopus and beans as an app. The octopus was done well but the beans were super sour. I mentioned that to our server but she just smiled. I did like the ravioli verde.

This restaurant was amazing. The service was great but not overly bothersome to us. Came when we needed her. The food was outstanding. I had the gnocchi with sausage Ragu and my husband had the braised beef ravioli which was cooked to perfection. We had the bruschetta for an appetizer and I would definitely eat that again. My only complaint would be the same as every other restaurant out there but is a personal preference. I like my salad chopped very fine and you just can’t get it that way. Even if you ask like I did but that doesn’t take away from this restaurant. We will definitely go again.

Every meal at Casa Italiana is always a treat. Last night we had the classic fettuccini alfredo with chicken, and it was incredible. The caesar salad dressing is so good, and was just the right ratio of dressing to salad. Our service was approachable and easy going. We also enjoyed 2 cocktails of the day. So good! Overall, it’s a delicious, easy going, enjoyable experience from the food to the service to the caring ownership. Our Richmond favorite!

Honestly I don’t leave reviews very often but for anyone looking for a great place to eat, look no further!!!! Christy, the owner, and Amanda, our waitress, had gone above and beyond for our evening out to make sure we were taken care of. The food is beyond amazing, the atmosphere was quiet but larger than it looks from the outside. So not small and cramped. I just can’t tell you how surprised I was with this restaurant!! WE WILL ABSOLUTELY BE BACK, especially for that crab penne 🤌🏻❤️
