Beautiful restaurant with a happy staff. I had the chicken casadilla and the Betty blend cheese mix was delicious. The decor was so different and fun I loved it.
Great service, great food and atmosphere! So happy we came. My only complaint is I would’ve liked to see more wine options.
Great food and fun atmosphere!
This was our fourth visit to Casa Figueroa, and was disappointing compared to our previous visits. The place has a fun, creative vibe and our server was efficient and knowledgeable, but the food was inconsistent. Margaritas: excellent. Beet Salad and Green Salad: excellent. Grilled romaine: limp and boring. Calamari friti: disappointing: instead of a bowl full of fried squid as served at past visits, it was a mixture of squid plus pepper strips. Lobster taco: excellent. Shrimp taco: good. Potato taco: just potato??
Unique atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a great time. It was perfect for our Christmas Eve dinner
First time we went was when restaurant was brand new, everything was Excellent, 2nd visit was Very Good, 3rd visit was Fair-Good, most recent visit was very dissappointing. Owner & staff seemed very upbeat early on, now owner & staff seem worn out/short staffed & have lost sight of their early persona. Too bad, really likeed it before
nice space and ambience. fun vibe. service was fine. food is just ok. guacamole is bland. lobster taco also bland and not cheap at 10 bucks. on the other hand, dining companion said mussels were very good - with a bit of a kick. no wine list. you have two choices. red or white. end of story. I would go back if someone wanted to go but would not go out of my way to return.
Fun menu in a lively unique setting. Creative menu. Looking forward to going again!
Carne Asada & Chorizo Tacos. Best Margaritas in the city
What a great find!!! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere.
Appetizers were good. Tacos only average. Churros not done well. Overall a bit disappointing. Will not return.
We appreciated that we were able to make reservations. The food was very good and there were lots of choices--we loved the veggie tacos. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable. The decor was warm and fun and we were glad to get a tour of the basement bar. We're sorry we missed the optimum outdoor seating season, but we'll be back. A great addition to the neighborhood!
Food seemed overpriced and a bit bland to me, but willing give them time to refine. Atmosphere was really cute and outside space is generous.
What an AMAZING new spot with a great vibe!!! Loved that we were able to dine outside on a November eve. Margaritas are perfect. The short rib chiliquiles were yummm...and don’t skip the churros. Thank me later. 😊
Service was friendly and informative, the owner stopped by to chat (that is old school hospitality) and the menu had good vegan options without being overwhelming. Everything tasted very fresh, and the decor was fun / eclectic. This sets a new standard for dining in Pleasant Ridge - we will definitely be back.
Loved the neighborhood and restaurant had a great vibe (both inside and outside). Food was yummy and great, attentive service! We'll be back
I have eaten at CF three times now and this third time was after they had changed their menu. I was disappointed with the changes they made. While the food is good, it wasn't as good as before.
Food was good. Ambience and service were great. I really enjoyed the guacamole and queso
The quality of food was way under par for the price paid. I think you pay more for the environment than what you consume. Their still water just seemed like tap water. Best for happy hour with chips & drinks, and sitting and chilling with friends for a bit. Their short rib chilaquiles left much to be desired. Don't come here super hungry. There are better Mexican food places around that are more worth your money. I think since this is one of the few cool places to eat in Pleasant Ridge, it's gotten some hype, but it's a little overrated in my opinion.
Sat outside on a beautiful night. Be warned--margaritas are waaaay stronger than expected, but good. Loved the grilled romaine salad. We all tasted various tacos and potato was the only one we didn't love (very dry). Owner stopped by for a nice chat, too. Inside looks fun and funky, but we really enjoyed dining al fresco in the nice weather.
Great service. Great food. Awesome drinks. We loved the guacamole, the calamari and the potato tacos. We will definitely come back.
Great guacamole and tacos! The patio is fun and comfortable.
Celebrated a Birthday
This place has such potential. A beautiful restaurant with a great vibe and an intriguing menu. Unfortunately, the service was sub par. We waited about ten minutes to be greeted, our appetizer came out incorrectly, and long before our drinks were served. Our entrees were cold when they arrived and not as fresh and bold as we had hoped the flavors to be. Ultimately, it was not a great experience, but perhaps with more time for the staff and kitchen to get it right, it will be a gem. It's certainly set up to succeed, now it comes down to the proper execution.
Food was delicious. Loved the vibe and atmosphere. Only one downfall - wine list. We ordered a Pinot Grigio which they didn't carry so waitress said she'd bring us something similar and came back w a glass of chilled red wine...hmmm. Then asked for sav blanc which was a no go to.
Authentic tex mex cuisine with attention to detail on the menu and the atmosphere.
we had the queso and quacamole, street corn, scallops, tacos and more.
Great place to dine with friends.
Sat on the patio on an unusually pleasant August Sunday afternoon. The service was outstanding and the selection of on tap beverages was good. They even had my current summer favorite from Rhinegeist -- Bubbles!! I had the fish of the day and it was delicious. An unusual assortment of tacos from chicken and chorizo to smoked duck. The guac was fresh and tasty. We all enjoyed our meal.
Very vibrant atmosphere. Margarita's were good-get a pitcher. Food hot and delicious.
I have had two stellar experiences at Casa Fig. the second time I went, I brought a large group of girlfriends from out of town that I really wanted to impress. They really exceeded expectations! Food was wonderful and fresh (queso is sooo good) when we were unhappy with a cocktail, we were rushed a new one, the room they put us in was intimate and fun.
Love this place--can't wait to go back!
Great place and wonderful to have a new gem in Pleasant Ridge
Good food and fun atmosphere. We had a nice long table for our group that was tucked away from the rest of the diners. Service was fair because we had to ask for apps to and sides to be delivered. Plus there was confusion with some taco orders. Waiter was pleasant and made things right as fast as he could but he seemed overwhelmed.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. A great little gem in P-Ridge
Please understand that we enjoyed La Frontera very much, but the entire decor (at least that we noticed) was wonderfully Mexican, and the food was not. There were some Mexican dishes (rice & bean, taco shells e.g), but most of the dishes seemed either fusion or not Mexican at all. This observation is not a complaint; it was just a surprise.
Only issue we had was the A/C, it was out and awaiting repair and on the second floor it was a bit warm
We had a terrific night with friends at a table on the patio--love the murals! Shrimp taco and the scallop entree were very good, as were the margaritas. Server was friendly and informative.
Will definitely return.
Very cool place. Food was pricy but very tasty. We all enjoyed the tacos and grilled corn special. Margs were delicious too. Decor is fun - we were unable to sit outside due to thunderstorm but their outdoor patio looks awesome. Will def be back.
Fresh and tasty food. Eclectic and striking art work work makes for a unique dining experience
Our waitress was helpful and very attentive. The ambiance was nice, beautiful outdoor patio. The food was good but very pricey. The very small tacos are $5.00. They charge for a little extra salsa for the dry tacos. The beans and rice was not so good.
Had dinner with friends of ours it was incredible
