What Insiders Are Saying
Casa Enrique is home to the best Mexican food in New York City, and we bet you've never heard of it. Time to get acquainted with Long Island City.
I've eaten mexican food in mexico (Mexico City, Puebla, Cholula etc) so I know what authentic mexican tastes like. This was americanized mexican, which is fine. It tasted great on its own but as a comparison-meh. but let me not be the snob here.
I love this place. I am Mexican. This is authentic, made with good taste and my favorite spot in the entire city. Cosme has created a pozole that can challenge any good mexican restaurant.
Love this gem!!! Perfect ambiance, great food and impeccable service.
Worth a trip to Queens for. Fantastic flavours, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Special blueberry and coconut mojito was very good too.
It was really good and well made food i would absolutely return
Lugar tranquilo con comida simple y rica pero no enloquece, muy buena atención
Amazing experience. Probably best Mexican restaurant in NYC.
A spectacular meal in a very comfortable venue.
It was such an amazing experience. I went there with my friends and we had a wonderful night. People were all very kind, and food was amazingly good. Drinks, food, and dessert were all absolutly great. These food are delicate and very tasty. I recommend this place for dinner, brunch, friend gathering. Thank you!
Always great food and great service. You know the service is good when you never have to ask to get your water refilled! Everything on the menu tastes amazing and the drinks are super great too!
The guac is $15 and they cleared it from the table without asking us first, and it was half full/we weren't done! Thats like $8 worth of guac. Super annoying.
The food was delicious, but it was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation.
An affordable Michelin-starred experience, and you don't even have to go into Manhattan. This is authentic (I'm guessing), upscale Mexican fare. The portions are not very big, but that's to be expected. The food is delicious. I didn't get any cocktails, but they looked amazing.
Food was excellent!
excellent food, excellent service, fun, out the beaten track. The cocktails are great and long tequilla list. Can be noisy but a fun place to go with a small group.
I surprised my significant other for his birthday at this restaurant. The food was really delicious - the carne asada tacos were my favorite and the guacamole was on point too. I greatly appreciated the dessert + with a candle and happy birthday song for him. It was a great night - I was very happy with Casa Enrique!
Delicious food, great cocktails, and the service was wonderful as well. Don’t miss the tres leches sponge cake dessert!
Incredible as always. Food and service was perfect
I've read that this is the only Mexican restaurant in the New York area to have a Michelin star. The reputation is well-deserved. The food is straightforward—nothing fussy or “fusion” here—and delicious. Try the guacamole, brisket tacos, chicken mole, and pork ribs. Service was friendly and efficient, and the prices reasonable. In short, this place is definitely a winner.
I thought the food was excellent and the pricing was fair for the gourmet quality. The guacamole was very good, the crab tostadas was excellent and the desserts were all delicious, especially the 3-milk sponge cake with goat milk caramel. Note that a portion of two tacos was $12, but two is not enough. I wish there was an option for 3 (like the crab tostadas).
Service was good, but drinks came out after guacamole was finished and coffee after dessert - would have liked to have them both together. When I go back I will ask that they are served together.
We had medium guacamole, and the lengua and chorizo tacos. Also, the Pan Frances and Milanese de Pollo. Cafe con leche frios as well. The meal was amazing and I can’t wait to go back.
Casa Enrique has easily (and quickly) become one of our favorite restaurants! We haven’t tried a dish we didn’t like, honestly. And we try at least one new thing on the menu each time we go. Totally worth checking out!! I added a photo of my husband & I’s favorite dish - Pescado con Elote. An absolute must try on the menu.
Loved dining here! Took my boyfriend who loves Mexican cuisine, after getting the recommendation from a coworker. Food was delicious, and a great place for a date night. Hope to go back soon, and try outdoor seating.
Service is always attentive, food is consistently delicious. One of our favorite restaurants in the city. Just wish it wasn't so hard to snag a reservation!
Food and service were very good but the Tres Leches was out of this world.
Amazing! Second time and I was even more impressed. Food is true Mexican, creative and delicious. Highly recommended for any occasion. I live in Chicago and I dine out 8 out of 7 days at week, this Casa Enrique is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant. Great job chef Cosme! Also, service is top notch!
Another amazing night at this restaurant, recommend the shrimp cocktail and steak tacos.
Strawberry margarita > Raspberry margarita
Delicious food and wonderful attentive service. Great recommendations.
Keep waiting for 20mins even got reservation, table for 2 can be served immediately even no reservation. Food is soso, environment is terrible, baby is crying, quite noisy, no one would say bye after u pay anything, doorwomen just standby and chatting when u r leaving, no one there cares about what u experienced, cos they always receive fresher followed by Michelin guide.
Only good thing is the price, not such expensive.
Wait for entrees after guacamole and salad was way too long. Portion size of skirt steak tacos was more like an appetizer than an entree
Food is always amazing
Possibly my favorite restaurant in NY. Ultra-fine dining for regular-fine price, you’d be hard pressed to find s better value.
Food was delicious, 5 stars. Drinks were amazing, except it took about 30 minutes to get them. The server had an attitude and seemed to be annoyed the entire time. We weren’t aware the kitchen was closing and we were never informed. We wanted to order one more dish and was rudely told kitchen was closed, but they never gave last call for food. We weren’t offered a dessert menu but the table across us was, after we were told kitchen was closed. The busboy was so kind, helpful and pleasant. Overall, excellent atmosphere and amazing food, only wish our server fit the the Michelin star restaurant.
Food was excellent and so was the staff. I give it 4 stars because it's very loud inside making it very hard to hear the waiter and each other.
Food and drinks were great. The guacamole was a very small portion for $15. But all else was great!
This was my second time back. The food is delicious but the portions are small for the price. It becomes extremely loud and one can hardly hear your partner. The earlier you go, the quieter it will be.
Amazing experience, being from Mexico and being in the restaurant industry it really transported me to Mexico, everything we ordered was great and the Chef Cosme even came out and sat with us for a few minutes.
Food was delicious, service was fast and on point.
Best mexican food ever
