Casa Enrique is home to the best Mexican food in New York City, and we bet you've never heard of it. Time to get acquainted with Long Island City.
We got sat right away and had a very good dinner. Everything was delicious!
Wonderful. Although, I understand that the place is busy but we felt rushed out at the end of our meal.
Casa Enrique met my expectations, and then some. One of the best Mexican meals I've ever had in NYC, and I've had my fair share.
The best Spanish restaurant I’ve been to so far, and I’ve been to a few. Don’t want to spoil the experience by telling too much but I’ll say this please just go! You will not be disappointed.
The mole was spectacular, and the service was excellent.
Food was great, and very reasonably priced. Great value overall
Food is very expensive for what they offer. I went with Hispanic friends used to eat guacamole and tacos and they were disappointed. Tacos were good but $15.00 is too much just for two tacos. Guacamole was not spectacular for $ 15.00 also. Entrees had a more reasonable price. Ambiance was very good, though.
Great food and drinks, will definitely go back
Food was delicious. The Chicken Enchiladas were so good and the Pastel Tres Leches is a must!!
Tequila soaked carne asada tacos....I'll leave it at that while your mouth waters :)
Amazing but service... hmmm ?
Excellent service, great food! The mole sauce is a must have!
Casa Enrique doesn't disappoint. We were a table of five and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Perhaps the best chicken with mole sauce and best guacamole in town. Two of our guests were from Spain and one of them commented that this feels like a restaurant from home. The staff, especially at the door, were delightful, warm and welcoming. Great food, great vibe... enjoy.
Professional Mexican cooking with competent staff in a somewhat crowded space. Mole was rich and chocolatey with serious level of chile. Pork rips Chiapaneco were a delight. Perhaps the best Mexican in a town known for serving bland crowd pleasing Mexican fare.
Excellent food, excellent service, amazing cocktails
The food is excellent , love love the lamb and meatball appetizer 😃
Best mole I’ve had in NY, my boyfriend got the Carne Asada and it was amazing. They make a mean mojito! Such good service also! Worth every penny!
Best Mexican in New York City
It was my boyfriend’s birthday surprise dinner. Mexican food is his favourite so I researched and saw that Casa Enrique was the only Mexican restaurant with a Michelin star in New York so I assumed it would be a fantastic meal. I was wrong. We had a very underwhelming experience. The service was good. The big problem was the food. It was VERY disappointing. I’ve dined at quite a few Michelin Star restaurants and have always left feeling satisfied and impressed. I don’t understand why this restaurant has a Michelin star at all. Overpriced for what you get. Nothing special or particularly creative. The food was not bursting with flavor. The octopus special was rubbery and the short ribs special had a nice flavor (not amazing) but was definitely not as tender as it should have been. I’ve had better short ribs at the Mexican counter-serve eatery at the end of my street. There just was nothing particularly special about anything we ate or drank there. The flan dessert was the best thing and we could get a flan just as good at many a Mexican New York restaurant. Maybe we should’ve ordered items from the regular menu and not the specials. I don’t know but we won’t be returning to find out.
We live in the area and have eaten at Casa Enrique many times. The food is always excellent, the service is welcoming and friendly - even if the restaurant wasn't nearby I think we'd be regulars!
Food was very good, but the service was average. It seemed as if they were still sleeping. When asked for a recommendation the server listed off over half the menu. It is still well worth a visit.
A great host
Casa Enrique was amazing! Excellent seafood and mole and a very knowledgeable server. Looking forward to returning very soon.
We had an amazing time, that’s why we keep going back.
The food is consistantly delicious! My wife and I have been dinig here for the past 3 years and we always leave extremely satisfied with the overall experience.
Increíble la verdad y no decepciona!
Increibe comida y servicio.
While the food was superb we felt extremely hurried throughout the meal. We were never allowed to finish a course before having a plate swept away midbite and another course plopped down in front of us. We were in and out of there in 45 minutes.
As always Casa is a delight fir its great Mexican food.
Our adult children love it there. So do we of course! It’s always a welcoming atmosphere with delicious food that’s served warmly.
Best Mexican food in New York !!
Excellent!! Great food and service, definitely going back
Amazing meal. We came for my birthday and they even sang happy birthday and brought me a special treat. Would highly recommend the fish tacos and the mole. Best mole I've ever had.
Our first Michelin Star restaurant. Receptionist to the servers were very friendly and engaging. This was the authentic welcome that will put all guests at ease and feel good about what they are about to experience. A clean place. The servers were out and about, ready to assist the customers. Drinks and main dishes were elaborately suggested. Didn't feel as he was reading off memory. The dishes well presented and the taste was a treat for my taste buds.
Casa Enrique, a business and food created by heart and passion! A big Thank You to the chef and all the employees.
Outstanding food and exceptional service
Great meal and wonderful service. Special thanks to our waitress LIZ. We will definitely come back.
Awesome experience, good food
Casa Enrique is a go-to for us! The braised short rib special was the best short rib I have ever heard. My fiancée always gets the skirt steak and it's consistently great!
I loved the food and service. The desserts were excellent, too! I will definitely be back again.
