Decided to try this restaurant in old town but was quite disappointed. The food was mediocre. I had the pollo mole which was basically boiled chicken breast smothered with a daily tasteless mole sauce. The servers did their best but it was basically amateur hour. Too bad because the location and setting is nice.

Casa Don Rodrigo is an excellent family owned restaurant providing a great culinary experience with superb service. They have an extensive wine menu and full bar service to quench your thirst. Some of our favorite menu items: Queso fundido, fresh beet salad, velvety tortilla soup, the house special Alfredo pasta (made table side), shrimp risotto and surf N turf kabobs are all delicious! This hidden gem is a must do when you’re in town.

Excellent restaurant—the best meal we had in San Jose. Great ambiance and excellent live music. The meals and drinks are not inexpensive, but the quality is there! We’ll return on our next visit to San Jose!

Had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time. Seemed under staffed! Band was nice, and the shrimpnrisotto was amazing.

Always a solid restaurant experience. Try the cheese plate and count on spending 50-80 dollars per person with a cocktail and or bottle of wine

A classic Cabo restaurant set back from one of the main streets in a lovely courtyard. Very good seafood (fresh oysters and tuna tostadas great!) and some Mexican classics, but the woodfired grill turns out a mix of tasty things. Flank steak, ribeye, chorizo, shrimp, octopus etc. The grilled Cesar and zucchini salads were excellent. And don’t mess getting at least the small cheese sampler, as they make their own and it’s a great share plate. Very good band play the mix of 70s through 90s classics.
