This is a cool place to go if you want to try a different setting for Mexican good. It’s nice by the canal and the design inside is also nice.
Starting with the margaritas. It depends on which one you order. Some are good and some are not. The jalapeño margarita was bland and tasted watered down. It had the hit of spice but not the flavor that normally goes with the margarita. The mango chili margarita was much better and had more flavor and was less watered down. I ordered a small version of that one. I don’t know if that means the larger drinks are watered down or just lacking flavor. We ordered one of the cocktails called a Oaxacan old fashioned. I thought it tasted like a tire but the other person in my party thought it was just liquid smoke.

The appetizers were kind of bland as well. The guacamole had many options and I recommend trying the ones with add ins instead of the plain guacamole. We also tried the queso. You can not go wrong here! The queso was pretty good. Although we ordered it with chorizo it came plain. Just be clear to the wait staff if you wanted the chorizo.

For the food we ordered the special - the oaxacan tostadas and the bbq tamale from the regular menu. The tostadas tasted better when you added some of the table salsa to it. The bbq tamale was kind of bland.

The dessert was the best part. We ordered the Mexzookie and the fried ice cream. Both were amazing and the most flavorful part of our outing.

If you order a lot of food like we did to try a bit of everything just know that they didn’t offer to go bags.

We went for brunch to Casa, that was my first time going during the day. I recommend going at night as the lights and ambiance is better in the evening but we really enjoyed our meals and our time there on Sunday.

The service was not good. Took us 20 minutes to gat a drink. Then to get a second drink it took longer. We had finished our whole meal and still did not have the drinks. Very dark, too dark for dining. Food was good. Don’t think I will go back.

We had brunch for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our server David made excellent recommendations. Another job well done, you’ll definitely see us back.

I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. It was perfect for a New Year’s Eve dinner with our teenagers. There was a little mishap with the guacamole - it seems they forgot to put the seasonings in it (lime, salt, etc) so it was just mashed avocado. But they fixed it and brought a full new batch, and it was fresh and very good. The large tortilla chips that you break by hand and dip were inventive. The margaritas were excellent - especially my spicy mango chili version. I enjoyed my pescado tacos although the portions were quite small. My husband got the ceviche and it was too tangy (lime overdose) but the accompanying plantain chips were good.

Food was good but it was incredibly hard to hear my boyfriend talking to me over the music. And it was 530 in the evening not late at night
