Most importantly the food was delicious. Everything after that was just OK.....service was spotty since seemed like not enough support staff. Our server was not very friendly and description of food was not helpful. It was a Friday night so it was crowded and the covered dining made it very loud and hard to hear. The back room was a little quieter so wish we were seated there.

The food is very good here, as is the service. It's a little pricey esp compared to the superlative Tapas 33, but they don't open everyday. Main issue here is Casa de Paco's main space, which used to be their parking lot, has terrible acoustics, and the space is over equipped with 8 or 10 huge speakers, so it's basically impossible to have a conversation with your guests over the music. It was so frustrating during dinner, and I believe they actually lowered music when we requested, but it was still a matter of shouting at each other to be heard. I think they just have to decide when it's a bar and when its a restaurant, and make it possible to enjoy your time while eating. The old space inside the main house was so much better for food and conversation. Actually this is the reason we looked and found Tapas 33; we were looking for a long time for an alternative tapas restaurant where we could actually talk.

The service was very slow although not that busy. It took the server very long for everything. The salmon was bland had no flavor , the chicken also was bland and had no flavor. The scenery is cute. The slow cooked ribs were very good.

Octopus was decent, ribs were ok (potatoes served with the ribs were very good), shrimp in garlic were excellent, the red sangria was ok but too sweet (seemed like too much added sugar) and the paella was tasty but the lobster and the one large shrimp were both over cooked and the chicken would have been better if it was meatier.

I LOVE THIS PLACE IM COMING HERE AGAIN SOON! Me and my husband are new to tapas restaurants but it is now gonna be our thing. This place truly exceeded my expectations in just about every category. First the place is in such a low key spot but crowded so when I saw they had valet parking I was SHOOK! then we ate inside which I love the decor felt like an indoor garden. Service was perfect! The food 🤤the food was amazing so flavor and good portion size for 2. Drinks were great their lemonade is so tasty. All in all I would give this place 10 stars if I could!

This was my first time back in a long time and it did not disappoint. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the sangria was delicious and as always the food was outstanding, every bite was superb. I’m already looking forward to my next trip back. Thank you for another wonderful meal.

Great food,drinks,upbeat atmosphere but service wasn't that great. We had a reservation, when we were seated we waited about 15 minutes before even getting a menu or a server coming to our table. The servers were all males and were not that friendly, Overall it was an ok experience.

Our experience was enjoyable but a few food items were disappointing. The soup was good but a bit salty, the chicken empanadas were good and so was the grilled squid tapas. The iberico croquettas did not have any ham??? The restaurant ran out of flan and one other dessert by mid afternoon on Palm Sunday??? We were looking forward to a meal that was more memorable.

This was my husbands bday dinner . I had not been to CdP since pre pandemic. I was sad to see this tent and no indoor dinning. It was small but charming. The tent felt like a sports bar . Maybe keep the screens to one side a night screens on the pier for those who do not enjoy eating with the TV on. But the food was as always exceptional! Will go back just not in a special ocasione. Too casual for that .

We had a great time and the food is very good! lots of variety. The place is VERY VERY loud!! And a bit chaotic but that was fun with the bunch of teenagers we took for my son's birthday. Yummy sangria too.

This was a wonderful find! The tapas was amazing. The Tuna, Salmon and Anchovies were excellent. It’s a quaint spot with great service, drinks and ambiance. Definitely going back!

Enrique was amazing!!! He is an amazing server & manager! The food was fresh and very delicious! I dine in NYC most of the time. This gem in Newark is a must! I’ve never had better food in Newark. You will be pleasantly surprised by the food and amazing customer service. 10 out of 10!!!

What a terrible experience.. horrible service.. terrible food.. too loud.. even with a reservation waited 30 minutes.. the food was greasy, service was the worst.. when I asked for the check the total seemed accurate.. put down my CC girl took it. Came back with my copy to sign.. in addition to new bill with a new subtotal.. somehow she had an added sangria .. which we never had.. explained the mistake.. was credited the amount for the sangria but the subtotal was never changed.. what a mess. Terribly disappointed.

The 4 tapas we ordered were all excellent. Many restaurants can have difficulty with squid and/or octopus however the chipirones da casa & pulpo a galega were both fresh, very tender and delicious!
