The decor, ambience and overall service was amazing!
Casa Calaveras staff is very nice, accommodating and give excellent service even when they are busy they go above and beyond.
Went there on Monday night for anniversary. Went back on Friday with friends. Menu had changed. Wife loves guacamole. Monday night, fabulous guacamole. Very fresh, lots of avocados thick guacamole. Had a much cheaper version on Friday. Thinner, less avocados. Had fajitas on Monday, beans & rice included. Friday, extra charge for beans & rice! Shrimp cocktail on menu on Monday. Replaced by “seafood” cocktail on Friday at much heftier price. Not sure what they are doing there. Was fabulous on Monday, was ok on Friday. Hopefully they will go back to old menu soon. Service was very good both nights. Even for Friday night, servers were attentive. We did enjoy ourselves.
We had a 4:30 reservation. We were called after 4:50. But this turned out to b ok since our friends were running late. Otherwise, I may have complained.
The food and Devore were amazing. Our server was even very kind. My biggest complaint was just a lack of attentiveness to the table. We struggled to get drinks timely and then waited quite some time to get the server to stop and let her know we were ready for a check. Overall, I’m sure this was a one off experience, but it’s worth sharing.
Good food! Football game on, was a little loud. Angie our server, very attentive and friendly!
Clean, nice ambiance, good service, yummy food. Would visit again
Everything was delicious. Highly recommended
Excellent food and service. The Salsa is delicious! We had the enchiladas—very good. Generous portions. Lovely restaurant. Worth the trip off the strip.
Really slow service took over 15 minutes to get my check back with my card. Chips were stale. Overall just not a great experience
for convenience when staying at the hotel is fine. however the flavor lacks life, the dishes were ok. if you plan on drinking a bit then you won't notice the lack of flavor. the price is
a little above average butits a hotel restaurant. I don't mind spending but he food must be worth it. my palette is very broad and will only be returning for drinks in the future.
Delicious tacos and STRONG drinks. 3 types of guac too! It’s a little pricey but you get big portions (it’s Vegas after all) super fun place!
What they did to the design of the old hard rock casino should be a crime…it went from having a very inspired feel snd great layout to a dark place that lacks energy. The one bright spot though is this restaurant. Stunning decor and very comfortable seating greeted us. The food was awesome beginning to end. The street corn was a big star, though every taco we tried was top5 all time for us.
Amazing service! Our waitress was so sweet and welcoming, she really went above an beyond during our time there. Wish we could visit more often!
Delicious lunch…..carne asada tacos, street corn and very cool atmosphere
Sat outside just as the restaurant opened. It was a beautiful late morning/early afternoon. What a joy. Chips and salsa was good and the Smoky Polama was just as good. Service was excellent And my waiter Jesus was attentive and so pleasant.
Great time!!! Thank you.
So loud you have to yell at your guests. Yell at your server. I was immediately not liking the overly loud music. Music choice was great. The level of volume was obnoxious!! Food was good. !
Carne asada burrito came with beans and rice on the side. The burrito contained very little carne asada or cheese and was almost all beans and rice meaning I paid $20 for a plate of beans and rice with some of it wrapped in a tortilla. Ordered a fairly expensive shot of tequila. They said they could make it a double for $4. The amount of tequila was likely less than a regular shot. Seemed too good to be true and was. Bad experience all around.
We love this place! Our server, Carlos took great care of us! The chicken fajitas are top notch and the margaritas rock!
Absolutely incredible from start to finish. Amazing service and even better food.
Great value for Taco Tuesday with a varied selection of street-style tacos with great proteins for a new hotel restaurant. No veggie option on the menu as it is limited. The regular menu is available during this time and it looked pretty good.
First time here for taco Tuesday! The taco Tuesday menu was great, the tacos ranged from $3-$5 and it comes with 1 taco per order. Their were also cocktails listed on the menu for about $5-$7. The ambiance is beautiful filled with Beautiful skull murals around the restaurant. Great photo opportunities. The hostess we’re really sweet and we got seated right away. Server came to the table and introduced himself in a timely manner as well. We got complimentary chips and salsa for the table which was good! I ordered the pork carnitas taco which was not great. It did not have any flavor and being it was so much liquid in the meat it made the taco shell soggy. I also ordered the beef taco now that was super flavorful, juicy and overall full of great taste. The shrimp taco was my personal favorite. It packed a spicy punch and had great big bold flavors. Overall I had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend anyone to come experience this restaurant.
We were out of the champagne and we had to ask for another bottle instead of them being on top of things
Food was delicious and my birthday treat was great!
First and last time at this restaurant in the new Virgin Hotel and Casino
First indicator, chips were cold and the salsa was brown and tasteless
The entrees was boring and delivered cold also
The room ambience was incredibly overwhelming
Heavy low end thumping music caused the whole room to talk very very loud
The service was seriously lacking
No water refills
They also did try to take my plate before I was done
The masks made it very difficult to understand the waitress
After the orders were taken she disappeared
Servers brought the food and did not know whose was whose
We asked for a split check and she forgot
Waited 20 minutes to get that fixed
Beautiful hotel restaurant, bad execution
Great food and service.
Must get the double margarita.
You know what they say… If the music’s too loud, you’re too old. I would choose a different venue for catching up with friends. If you are looking for good drinks, food and loud music, this is your place!
The food was amazing the service was excellent overall 10/10
Beautiful restaurant, very lively, service was excellent. We went for Sunday brunch & loved it.
I had a lovely virgin mojito, elote corn, fish tacos and the much raved about coconut tres leches. My server Kara was attentive and helpful as I wanted to box up leftovers and she brought me what I needed in a snap.
Loved the food and we will be back on our next visit!
First time here and they stated that their machines where down and only accepting cash. Unsure when the machines went down but they did not tell us until after we got the bill i had to find a solution for us rather then them helping out since we did not have enough cash. At no point did the manager come an apologize for the inconvenience nor offer any compensation maybe even for a next visit. Very unprofessional. The lady serving us was very sweet however just not the best experience. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place.
Enjoyed dining at Casa Calavera ! Food and Customer Service was great ! We will most definitely be back!
Food was great I loved everything my husband and I got the customer service was excellent as well thank u so much I would so go back to this place 😉😊
The drinks are pretty small unless you upgrade it to the larger one for $6 more. They didn’t have all the ingredients to make the pineapple margarita and the watermelon one was not good. The shrimp tacos are some of the best tacos I’ve ever tasted. The carne asada burrito was very very tasty as well. The enchiladas were good but not as good as the tacos and burrito. Chips and salsa kept flowing which is always a plus. Our waiter was attentive and nice.
We really did enjoy the environment and staff who worked there. Would definitely recommend trying the enchiladas they have and the steak was AMAZING ! Very clean areas to eat cute for pictures outside of the restaurant as well.
Food was wayyy better than I anticipated based on reviews I had read previously. The beans rivaled those of one of my favorite restaurants in Cabo San Lucas. Drink prices are a little high but that seems pretty typical for a trending restaurant. The ambience was fun and the energy was high. We will definitely come back!
