Nestled in Eastchester is the quaint, little Casa Brusco. This Italian restaurant features a modest bar that serves red and white wine, a mix of imported and domestic beer and all your common mixed drinks.
The food at Casa Brusco is definitely worth the trip to this unassuming little eatery. If you like seafood and pasta, try the pescatrice con vongole e olio di tartufo. It is clams and monkfish covered in truffle oil. Many customers also walk away recommending the Tuscan sausage and the mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer. With a fun décor and nice staff, Casa Brusco is an excellent choice.
this is an amazing little place tucked away in a pleasant neighborhood. food is always excellent. several pastas are made there. specials are always special.
and Carmella is the sweetest!
Sad to say that either we hit this place on an "off" Friday night, or it has gone way downhill from what we remembered.
Good food, good service, good enough to return. Saw children there, but not toddlers. So I didn't check kid-friendly.
The food is freshly prepared and is always delicious. They act like they are happy you are joining them for dinner. We always have a good time and a great meal.
The staff wonders why it's always so empty there? Well, it's because the food was awful, they messed up the orders, and instead of waiting on tables the staff is at the bar laughing and making jokes with each other. We must have waiting for someone to collect our check for 15 min and guess what? We were the ONLY people in the place.
Waitress never came back after taking order. Had to ask 3 times for another drink. Never refilled water glass. Had to ask another waiter for drink and another for the bill. Skipped desert. Two tables next to us had slthe same experience. Had eaten here twice before a flew years ago and didn't go back for the same reason. Hoped maybe the staff had changed by now. Very dissapointing and overpriced for the service you don't receive.
On Valentine's day, my boyfriend & I had the great opportunity of having dinner at this place. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly staff, and it looked beautiful inside. They had a large rose filled dish on the bar table & each individual table had candles as well as 2 roses on them. There were also lit candles alone the border of the ceiling, simply beautiful. The mood was definitely set & they played a lovely selection of love music. The food was great as was the service. It's always refreshing to have restaurant staff who truly want to please you & ensure that you're stay is a memorable one. They aced it! We will definitely be back! :)
Been here several times and the food was good. I can't say great because the chicken special I ordered was dry but the home made ravioli's my husband had were great. The service is always prompt and because it's rather close to our home, that's a plus.
It wasn't bad- it wasn't great- the best part was the appetizer we had tomato and motzerella salad and it was very fresh and tasty. Then, we had a pasta dish and a chicken special and both were very salty although pretty good. The tiramisu was not memorable. The wine was pretty good, the service was fine, and the ambiance was pretty cute. Overall i might go again because it is around the block from my house, but I don't think it was any better than the other two Italian restaurants right next door.
Never have a bad meal, very, very friendly staff, it's like eating in your Italian relatives dining room
