This was a return visit and the quality was just as impressive. The wine selection, in particular, deserves a mention, it’s outstanding.

The restaurant was fine but nothing special. The appetizers, meatballs and octopus, were excellent except that the bread they served with the meatballs was burnt. The entrees were average at best. My husband had the eggplant which he said was great. I had the gnocchi and our friend had the tagliatelle. The gnocchi was over cooked and the sauce was too sweet. There was also just too much going on with the dish (squash, rosemary, balsamic). Our friend said the tagliatelle was also over cooked. It also bothered me that the waiter did not open our bottle of wine in front of us. He came with a pre-opened bottle. I’ve never seen this in a restaurant of this price point.

The pasta was HARD on all of our dishes at the table and there was a lack of flavor. We used to love coming here but something has changed. the bar upstairs is closed which is a major loss for the restaurant. Overall disappointed, this used to be one of our go to spots!

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the food was delicious. The portions could be bigger, and I wish they had more optionality on their menu in general.

Food was nothing to write about. Stay away from the Caccio e Peppe pasta dish. They don't know how to make it. Same for the Eggplant Entree.

Wonderful dining experience all around!! Servers recommendations were all on point, manager gave us some housemade Lemoncello which not only was a lovely treat but a great touch. Cocktails, we started with Mulberry Spritz & Vito Corleone (great Italian play on a Manhattan).
Appetizers, Tuna Crudo was bright & fresh, meatballs were a house favorite and not to be missed.
Pasta, Strozzapretti was spicy and warm. Gnocchi was fall in a plate! Entrees, Between the Branzino & 12oz Ribeye you cannot go wrong. Just make sure you get dessert, we had all three and fought over which was our favorite. Thanks Chef keep killing it ladies!!

The restaurant has an open kitchen concept which I enjoy where you can go see your food being prepared versus waiting for something to come out behind some swing doors. The Octopus appetizer was nicely sliced and marinated in red wine. I had the Bucatini and my guest had the Paccherri. Both dinners were delicious. I would have preferred the pasta to be cooked maybe a minute or two longer. I was disappointed there was no Tiramisu though the diced apple over thick crema made up for it. Chef Bazan has made some choices and has kept the menu very simple and sufficient. The value and ambiance is there and so should you be as well.

The food was very good, but we were disappointed that bread was not available. When we requested it, they said they could only offer us focaccia (at $10). The wine list has very few bottles, if any, under $50, and the Barbera d'Alba that we ordered was thin and uninteresting, and cost $65. So, since customers expect a basket of bread and a wine list with a few more affordable bottles, these flaws should be easy to remedy.

Food was very hit or miss. A couple quite good dishes (like the chicken) but then nearly inedibly bad, completely tasteless and dry (the bucatini all’amatriciana). Such dramatic inconsistency does not inspire confidence. The server was very rude and CONSTANTLY trying to upsell us—it was exhausting. For example, we did not take her recommendation to order much more food because the pasta dishes were “very small”, she said - and we had more than enough food. All very unprofessional and displeasing.

Nice environment, very pretty restaurant. The service was kind of random. Switched servers, (which was odd) the second one didn't have much personality or engage in any kind of dialogue with us. Felt like she was working at a fast casual lunch spot rather than a nice restaurant. Food was fine, nothing that stood out or memorable in the least. Very generic... Burrata, prosciutto, chicken, spaghetti and meatballs... Yawn

Not bad, but didn’t live up to the price tag or other reviews. Focaccia was undercooked and doughy, salad was boring and used some of the oldest, toughest bits of kale I’ve ever tried to chew. Strozzapreti and tagliatelle were both good, as was branzino, though not spectacular. Dessert was the highlight. Service was OK, not great. We had an 8:30 reservation, and the room was very loud when we sat down, even though it was only two thirds full. At full capacity it must be deafening. As our meal went on, the crowd thinned and the noise level became more pleasant. The décor is striking but in serious need of a refresh. The ceiling paint and plaster in the main (really beautiful) main room beed re-doing.
