    Service was good as wait staff is very tentative and friendly. Food was way below expectations. Both the croutons in the salad and bread served with the shrimp were stale. The pesto sauce served with the cornbread made no sense (even the table next to us requested butter). The shrimp seemed high quality, but were so spicy they were difficult to taste. Lamb chops were decent, but only one of them was cooked to proper temperature (the rest were overcooked). The table diagonal from us returned her steak because it was raw in the center and had a thick layer of grey to the outside. Looks like it wasn’t brought to room temperature before cooking (rookie move for a steakhouse). Understand prices are jacked up being on Stratton mountain, but food should have at least been mediocre. Will not be coming back here.

    Wonderful setting with a perfect mountain view. The staff was warm and inviting and incredibly accommodating for my kids.

    Carve was delicious and just what was need after a day of hard skiing 2 feet of fresh heavy snow! Not to mention Chris the bartender was awesome, attentive and knowledgeable. The Seabass was amazing 🤩

    Average food. Very overpriced. I’ve been there 3 times hoping for a better experience but always the same. $170 porterhouse steak was bland with no sauce or butter. Very plain. Not worth the price.

    Great food, service and ambiance at Stratton! It was my husband’s birthday and after we were seated they brought over a complimentary glass of champagne- very nice touch! Food was great and service excellent - will definitely go back.

    Moses- great server and restaurant was intimate and really nice inside. Food was very good!! Our table was fantastic as the snow came down looking at Stratton Mt. The music, was awesome in the background with acoustic favorites!! Great place!!

    We celebrated wedding anniversary and the staff was extremely nice and cordial, and even treated us to a glass of champagne on the house gor the occasion! Thank you! The Cesar salad was so-so, I would call it average, but nothing special. The French pinion soup was great! The fillets ( we both ordered fillets) were excellent in quality, but a touch on the raw side. The wine was exceptional! Overall we had a wonderful time, but for the price range, the cuisine wax not do impressive as one would like or expect. Many thanks gor making our evening very special!

    as i told the maitre d/owner it was a lovely evening with very attentive service and good food. best onion soup ever, excellent hamburger and scallops, terrible french fries.

    Probably one of the best filet’s I’ve ever had and have had them at all the famous NY steakhouses. The French onion soup was fantastic as was the Caesar Salad. We all had the Filet and enjoyed it.

    Most overpriced and underwhelming restaurant I’ve experienced. All the guests were left ‘meh’. The $60 filet was tasteless and my guest didn’t finish but half of it. Save your time and palette and dine elsewhere. The only redemption the Pinot noir…but I knew it would be good!

    Food was excellent and our server was so fun and nice and helpful. Lots of Gluten Free options and very knowledgeable about food allergies in general!! We will go back!

    Server was very nice, it was very smokey in the restaurant. The burgers were all very overcooked, so dry, and the Brussel sprout salad didn’t have any pork belly and had no flavor at all. The French onion soup and Cesar salad were both very good though! Overall it was fine, kinda disappointed.

    When we arrived we felt like we in Romper Room. Wanted to sit us next to table with a bunch of kids. This type of restaurant I expect an atmosphere commiserate with the price range. Also having to stare at the reflection of a TV in the window was quite annoying. The service was fine. Check confusing. (Why separate the liquor from the rest of the drink) Drinks ok.

    Wonderful dinner! Stephan the host, Lynn our server, and Chris the bartender were incredibly courteous, helpful and engaging. Meal was delicious- steak perfectly cooked, great brussel/butternut squash salad and also Caesar salad ( best fresh croutons and not drenched in dressing). Ice cream and sorbet desserts. Loved it!

    Excellent reworking of the old Verde. Enjoyed all of our meals. Solid wine selection of both affordable and higher end wines, all the way to an Haut Brion.

    If I could give more than five stars for service I would. Our server was Hall Of Fame caliber. Knowledgeable and delightful. Food is top notch. So glad to have Carve at Stratton mountain!

    Carve at Stratton Resort in VT offers a friendly atmosphere with attentive staff. Our waitress was wonderful! The wine selection is impressive. However, the endive salad was overpriced, serving only six dressed leaves for $20. The Brussels sprouts were bland and overcooked. The steak sauces lacked depth, particularly the chimichurri. The open kitchen creates a vibrant vibe, but when it got smoked out, the entire dining room did too, leaving us smelling like a steak house.

    We were left very disappointed by our meal. The ribeye, while of decent quality, was not seasoned at all. When you are paying $75 for an a la carte entree you expect it to be seasoned to perfection. Our bearnaise sauce was served cold and coagulated in a low shallow bowl (they should invest in some gravy boats). The brussel sprout salad was just ok. The only food item we enjoyed were the IPA brined onion rings, which were pretty tasty. They have an open kitchen but desperately need a new exhaust fan, so the kitchen smoke travels into the bar area. Our server (a female- can't recall her name) was professional and provided great service. Although it did appear that she was spread a bit thin help-wise.

    Chef specials were lousy. Whole Trout horrendous. The lemon rosemary sorbet - rosemary over powering. The pork chop over done. Rock crab a disappointment. The food was better when it operated as Verde.

    Fantastic meal! Three of us split the porterhouse with Bernaise sauce, the onion strings and creamed spinach. All were amazing! Yummy crème brûlée, cocktails and reasonably (for a restaurant) priced Orin Swift wine. Our waiter, Moses was really fabulous, attentive and funny. We will be back!

    The manager at the desk was lovely and the server very good. The brussel sprouts salad was clean and light. My husband had the duck special which he said was very good. I had the pasta which was very bland and really lacked any flavor. The inside is just like Verde was - but they added drapes which really do not belong and block the view of the village. Overall, it was fine but expensive for what it is. Good to have another option at the base.

    Unfortunately not a good experience. Ordered a cheeseburger which was good but the rest was not ketchup was strange and fries weee soggy. Service was great but you’ll be sorry. Not much else on The mountain.

    Still finding their way. Out of a few things Rabbit stew excellent steak perfect. Service great. Just opened so based on that was fantastic

    After dining at Carve a few times this season with my husband, we've been very pleased with the restaurant. The decor looks much the same as Verde's (the previous restaurant) although they've added table linens which elevates and warms up the space. Each time there we've been warmly greeted and seated promptly by the restaurant's manager, Stephan, who's friendly, experienced and very attentive. The new chef, Joey, is seasoned and is off to a good start. The menu has some really nice and creative dishes as well as welcomed elements, like the raw bar and prime meat cuts. Andrew, the bartender, knows what he's doing behind the bar and is great to chat with.On each visit, our servers have been professional and helpful and have timed our courses well. Carve's menu prices are consistent with elevated northeastern ski resorts and reflective of it's prime location in Stratton's village. Standouts for us have been the oysters and crab, the seared scallops sitting on butternut squash cakes and the freshly ground cheeseburger, which was perfectly cooked. Carve opened when the the ski season had already started, which is challenging. Adjustments and improvements are part of the process. Crave appears to be a very capable and caring team and we look forward to being back.

    Relative to other steakhouses that we love, we felt this was significantly overpriced and the food was average at best. The service and atmosphere was good.

    Dinner choices are minimal. No Kids menu. Over priced food. The extra sauce they ask if you want cost an extra $8 and they don’t tell you before ordering. They did bring Maple bread to table with a dipping sauce which was excellent. Stratton is a ski destination for Families and it’s disappointing there is no children’s choices on the menu. They did offer Pasta with marinara but I do not consider that a kids menu. Also no one answers the phone at the restaurant.
