Love everything about Carve. The food, atmosphere, and service is unmatched. Wine list is great and not overpriced. Exceptional.
ALWAYS fantastic food and the best servers! Never disappointed!
First, the food was excellent and probably the best redfish I've ever had. The service was good but we had to wait 45 minutes for the food. The manager said she was sorry and gave us a free dessert. The restaurant is nice looking but the noise level was very high and it was only about 40% full. We had been warned about the noise from friends. It's probably not a good fit for older people and more suitable for younger people who seem to like noisy restaurants.
The food was great and the restaurant is beautiful. Our waitress disappeared for a while after she brought water to the table. I asked to sit outside with a heater near us. They put us at a table where the heater was broken so it was chilly. In summary, good food and wine - pricey as most steakhouses. The service both at the hostess desk and the wait staff, is a little iffy. We will go back but will be more demonstrative about where we will sit outside and leave if they ignore our requests.
Food was delicious! Service was extraordinary!! Tom was a true professional!
We had a great time at Carve. The good and service was great but it was extremely loud. It was very difficult to hear.
This was our first visit to Carve... the food, ambience, and service were very good. There was a very loud and boisterous table near us on the back patio - we were pleased when they finished and left. Overall 4 stars.
Fantastic food every time. I think the only downfall is having to choose between all of the delicious options. Highly recommend any cocktail from the mixology menu- it is top notch.
From cocktails through to dessert everything was sublime. While a bit pricey, it was nice to be treated to great service and be in a lively atmosphere.
Maddie was amazing! Best service ever!
Celebrating an anniversary.
Celebrate our anniversary here. Service was attentive enough, meal was really good, staff were doing the "standard covid protocol" but somewhat surprised at how many people were dining, it looked pretty full (on a weeknight, too.) Be sure to ask your wait person for better description of menu items as we found several "names" were not really indicative of the actual food that's plated.
Service was slow, wait staff was a bit argumentative when we brought issues to his attention.
Had to return two items.
We were on a moms/sons date with our 10 year old boys, and everything was perfect! Our server was great along with the food and the atmosphere. We had a table for 10 around the bar, which worked well so our boys could see the televisions, but it was a little loud. We had a great time though
Nice place, but spent a little more that what the atmosphere calls for. All in all the food was good, but the marshmallow smore desert was just, well, not good. Steak and fish were great. Service was good, but sometimes too good in that we would be in the middle of a conversations and would get continuously interrupted.
This was my first time dining at Carve. We ordered off the brunch menu. It was so delicious! We ordered Hashbrown Breakfast Pizza, Chicken & Waffles and Filet Creole Benedict.
This was our second chance visit to this restaurant. I gave a very low review the first time mainly because of service....had to wait 30 minutes for our table even with reservations. Waited at table for another 10 before waiter showed up and finally took Sri m orders. Then cams back 10 minutes later again to take appetizer order when we didn’t even have our drinks yet. The evening was that way all night long. They had only been opened about 4 months at that time. Normally I would say growing pains but with Perry Steakhouse experience I didn’t feel they needed a break.
In any event, after covid we decided to give them another chance. The experience was much improved....our waiter was very “on the ball” and knowledgeable of the menu. Our experience was so much better therefore we will try it again for sure. Maybe covid has helped them in some ways because obviously if wasn’t 4 deep around the bar as before and we were immediately sat at our table upon arrival.
Give it a try!!!
Food was Outstanding!
Positive: Food was great.
Negative: Twice an order for another table was brought out to our table. Not a big problem but indicates a communication breakdown somewhere.
Cocktails seemed watered down. And pricey for what they were.
It was loud. Not a place to go if dinner conversation is desired.
The food WAS excellent. Get it curbside and eat elsewhere.
It is extremely loud in this restaurant. You cannot hear yourself think or much less talk. For some reason the kitchen got behind. It took them over 40 minutes to make our meal. The food itself was very good, no complaints there, and our waitress was super nice, but they simply did a poor job of service this evening. We’ve been there before with excellent service, great steaks. I think they need to do something about the distance between tables, because it is simply too loud.
one of the best meals i have enjoyed in many years. great variety, vegetarian options - everything was perfect.
Food was particularly great! Highly recommend the cherry wood bacon wrapped smoked filet!
Soup came out I a reasonable Time but entrees came out at lest 45 minutes after. This is the 2nd time this has happened.
As much as I love your building and entering your service is not up to par and several of you food items should not be served. The fish and chips is horrible. Way too much breading . Your chicken dish is ok but the crust is. It eatable and the actual chicken is ok. The potatoes that were served with it were destined out and shriveled up like they had been overcooked and cooked hours prior.
If you have a steak they are good and should be for $45 .
Our total bill for 4 people was $400 before tip and I just have a hard time paying that for sub par service and 2 of the 4 entrees not good
The only negative I would say is it didn’t seem very covid friendly. Didn’t seem spaced out enough and everyone going to the bathroom and kitchen was walking right next to our table.
One of the most beautiful interiors, where anywhere you sit, feels like you're sitting on a large covered patio, with lots of bright lighting, multiple fireplaces. Service was professional, just as expected from a Perry's establishment. Food had strong flavors, generous portions, and delicious. The Carved Board with 4 full portions of meat and other proteins was attention grabbing, while the corn creme brulee was the best I've ever had. Caesars Salad and Wedge Salad were also standouts. Cocktails game was formidable as well.
Wish there were more locations since I'm from Houston. I think this concept will do well in any upscale neighborhood.
Amazing food and drinks, loved the ambiance, perfect spot for date night and to celebrate my birthday
Awesome with each visit. Always great. Highly recommend
Not joking... the best food I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to go back and try everything!!!!
Excellent food and service. Great appetizers and the steak sandwich was exceptional. Really enjoyed the entire experience.
GREAT FOOD! GREAT SERVICE! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!
The Shaved Sirloin Toast is just out of this world. I couldn't eat enough of it. Had the Truffle Gnochi with some tortilla soup and just really enjoyed this warm meal on a cool day. Love this property it has a BIG AMERICAN STEAKHOUSE SPEAKEASY feel to it. Lots of parking. Great location.
Nice design to the space, tables are spaced appropriately for social distancing. First time there, menu is extensive, with plenty of options, including fish, vegetarian, pizza, and pasta along with plenty of meat as the name Carve would imply. Probably gonna return to check out dining on the bar side, looked cozy and inviting.
It was so noisy we have a hard time talking. The dresscodestressedon the Carve page wasnotfolloedand the men in our group were not amused that they had to follow it,but they did.
Some of our food was overcooked. Some was misordered because we couldn't hear the server. But we did not complain - went ahead and ate it.
Our reservation was for 6 adults at 7:45 for a birthday. We brought a cake. After our food was served our waiter disappeared. He was in the other end of the building talking to a waitress - they were not paying attention to anyone. I asked another waitress and she helped us. Then the waiter appeared - seemed to have lost the cake. Found it - we were after 9:30 leaving because of him.
Our first time-Carve was highly recommended by several friends. No reason for us to come back- or recommend it.
We went for my husbands bday. It was our first dinner out since March. When we entered restaurant two employees were at hostess stand with their backs to us and never acknowledged us. Another employee came over. We were escorted to our table. We waited about 10 min and no one came. I went and asked for help. Manager came over took drink orders. Finally waitress came later. Took appetizer order then didn’t return until app was ready to take dinner order. They were out of what my husband had hoped for redfish. We had told them on reservation and when manager came over it was my husbands bday: they did nothing to acknowledge it. Steak was delicious not impressed by service.
Food was amazing , service was good , they were very boxy. Had reservation and sat right down. Only downfall it is was very loud in the dining room and hard to talk.
Great food and service. Enjoyed the ambience and would recommend.
Amazing service with Maddie
The food and service are always good and the patio area has good screens to offset the sun in the summertime.
