I will give credit where credit is due. The food was very good. My server was extremely nice, and we liked her a lot. The prices were a high for most of the plates. My major problem was, we were totally rushed. Our calamari came out the same time our pre dinner drinks did. From appetizer to desert. We were done in 45 minutes at a cost of $158.00. Sorry there are much better places for the money.
The food was delicious! Not one complaint about any dish we had. Already looking forward to another meal here!
Just outstanding highly recommend
Delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. Loved it!
25 Stars!!!! Food was OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!! Service was excellent! To start we shared a Buratta, the meatballs and a caesar. Mains we tried were the eggplant rollatini, chicken parm and the bucatini ragu with whipped ricotta. All were delish but that bucatini was a real star!!! For dessert we had the Nutella cannolis. Excellent wine and cocktails. Great ambiance and atmosphere; we dined inside which was very authentic Italian vibe and charm. Great outdoor covered patio for dining. Cannot wait to come back and such a welcome addition to the neighborhood!!!
Our anniversary dinner was nothing but great! You feel like you are eating at home the restaurant is very comfortable and the staff is very welcoming!
Believe the hype! This place has all the ingredients for a delicious and pleasant experience.
Fantastic food and service. We had a great time!!!
Excellent food, attentive service. Noisier than I would have liked.
By far the best Italian meal I’ve had in DC. Will go back again and again. Amazing service, food, cocktails, and atmosphere.
Fantastic! Chef came out to bring desserts and say hello!
Excellent service and amazing food. Old school in the best way, focused on quality and treating customers really well. Only downside of recent visit was screaming toddler which is not the restaurant’s fault but took away from our experience a little bit. Would highly recommend.
We went for my friends birthday and it was perfect! The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I will absolutely be eating here again!
Caruso’s was SO GOOD. Our waitress Adrienne was lovely and made great recommendations. We loved everything we tried. We had the calamari and garlic bread w/ four cheese dip and split the chicken part. It’s a huge serving so it was definitely large enough to share for 2.
Everything was perfect! We had the best food and the best service! Get the tiramisu :)
Loved everything. The food, service, cocktails and ambiance were wonderful.
Spicy Ragú and Pasta with fresh ricotta was absolutely delicious. Loved our, appetizers, pasta dishes, and deserts. Service was great. Chef checked on each table’s meal. Our new favorite restaurant by far. We’ll be back.
Food was excellent. Terrific, friendly service. Great dinner!
The room is very noisy (design could compensate), and that really detracted from the experience and makes me hesitant to return. Otherwise it was great.
Really wonderful experience overall. The food was great and service was friendly and attentive. Love the ambience too and the cocktails were probably my favorite part! This will be a regular date night and dinner with friends spot for us!
This was my second time at Caruso’s, and it was even better than the first! Our group was celebrating a special occasion with a friend visiting from out of town and Caruso’s was the perfect environment. The food is incredible: I’ve actually dreamt about the Ragu. The service was exceptional: our waiter was attentive, incredibly kind, and went above and beyond in every aspect. And the ambiance is one of the best dining experiences in DC: comforting and intimate. This is now my go to place to take friends visiting or to celebrate. I will definitely be back! Thank you Caruso’s for being an amazing addition to our neighborhood!
We had a lovely first visit, and will definitely return. The calamari was perhaps the best in DC.
We had a reservation for a group of 7, and they were very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The cocktails and the service were superb!
This was our second visit and it was every bit as delicious as the first trip. Fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms stood up to our memory from the first tasting, and the chicken parmigiana was fabulous. Even the side dish of spaghetti is awesome. Don’t miss the burrata or the Caesar salad along the way, and leave a little room for the housemate Orangecello - simply fabulous.
Great food and value! This will likely become our neighborhood go-to Italian restaurant.
Incredible food and cocktails. Impeccable service. Cozy atmosphere.
Went for the first time with my son and husband and we were all very impressed! The service was excellent and there's a nice warm, inviting vibe and decor. We had the calamari appetizer, the tuna special and shared the delicious cannoli for dessert. Good sized portions and all excellent! We will definitely return.
Our new, favorite, restaurant in DC. The food, the service, everything, was just amazing. They have the best shrimp scampi, and make sure to order the ice cream sundae.. incredible!! A big thank you to Adrianne
A bit noisy, but the cocktails and good were delicious. The service was outstanding.
Excellent food and service. The kind of ingredient focused and traditional Italian restaurant where you order an app, a pasta/entree and a dessert that is hard to find in DC.
Great food and service.
The portions are big and the food came out fast.
Very well prepared, traditional Italian fare. The 1/2 bottle and wine by the glass list could be better though. Excellent cocktails though and creative dessert wine options.
First time at Caruso’s, we’ll be back! Excellent food. Superb service from the host, to our Server, to the different team members who stopped by our table (but not too much). Couldn’t be happier with the quality / flavor of the dishes, creative cocktails, and omg the desserts!! Definitely worth checking out this new spot at The Roost!!
Loved the service. The portions were on the smaller side but the food was good
One of our favorite places! Drinks are outstanding, tiramisu is delicious, and the staff are all phenomenal.
The hospitality here is wonderful. Very personable, engaging, and friendly. They added some very nice touches to our meal when we told them it was our wedding anniversary, and sent us home with a handwritten note that was endearing. Delicious Italian cooking - I had the veal francaise with spring vegetables and my wife had the alfredo pasta with mushrooms and shrimp. The Godfather Manhattan was, um, to die for. My wife enjoyed her Pinot Grigio. Ella Fitzgerald played in the background. A very pleasant and memorable evening. Despite the drive for us to get there, we plan to visit again soon.
The food was excellent. Fresh ingredients. Perfectly seasoned food. There were some hiccups with service and mistakes in the kitchen with our order. In true Capitol Hill fashion the spacing was tight. And reservations are hard to come by. But the food makes it all worth it
We went for my fiancé’s birthday. The food was wonderful and same with the service. They even brought him out a personalized birthday card. It was sweet. I highly recommend for a special occasion or fancy date night.
Truly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Strongly recommend!
It was delicious!!!
