First time and Caruso's totally lived up to its recos. From the hostess to Melvin our server, the experience was terrific. The Must Try's include the garlic bread, burrata, penne w/Vodka sauce, chicken part and the veal Francaise. We will return and soon.

Carusos is on my top for Italian restaurants in DC. It's not easy getting a reservation, so plan ahead or keep an eye out for cancelations. If you're looking for homemade, comforting, and delicious food, this is your spot. I love the Carusos Alfredo, absolutely delicious. The garlic bread is amazing, there is a sauce to eat it with and it's so good. Even the Caesar salad, something so simple, yet delicious. Loved the tiramisu as well ... definitely more moist and less bitter than others. Great cocktails, service, ambiance, and prices! One annoying thing is the parking. If you're lucky, you'll find a spot on the street. Otherwise, you'll have to drive around a bit as parking isn't as easily accessible.

My husband and I finally made it to Caruso’s. It took the Thursday before Labor Day weekend to secure a reservation, when people cleared out of DC and freed up space at the restaurant. It reminded me of the old-time Italian restaurants in NYC except better and more modern. The menu had all the classics — I had the Baked Ziti and my husband the Chicken Parm with a Caesar Salad to start. Both were delicious and their portions ample. The flavors were well balanced and the dishes baked to perfection with the ziti sporting tons of hot bubbly cheese. All told, we left the restaurant feeling perfectly comforted from food designed and prepared to do just that.

This was some of the best alfredo pasta I ever had! It was a great spot for a date night or a nice meal. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for yummy Italian food in DC! Just make sure you book ahead of time as reservations tend to fill up. It’s worth your time!
