Caruso’s Grocery is modeled after the classic, Italian-American "red sauce" joint. You know the one: red banquettes, a killer chicken parmesan, Sinatra pouring through the speakers. If you’re looking for modern interpretations of a chef's take on the classics, you won’t find them here.

The staff was kind, accommodating, and attentive. Although the space was small, it didn’t feel cramped or stuffy. The food tasted fresh and comforting.

Lovely dining experience from beginning to end. Our waiver was attentive, the cocktails and food were wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing Sunday dinner. Loved the spaghetti and meatballs.

Always a favorite spot for us! Whether it’s a date night or celebration night with a big group of friends, we love Caruso’s. The pesto gnocchi were out of this world. Loved the heirloom panzanella. So fresh!

Caruso’s Grocery is truly a special place. My husband and I chose it for our anniversary celebration, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated wonderfully. Despite arriving quite late due to DC traffic. Michele our host, welcomed us warmly and ensured we were sweated right away. The food? Absolutely superb! We indulged in garlic bread, fresh salad and delicious pasta dishes—each one an absolute delight. Since relocating from New York a decade ago we’ve been searching for an exceptional Italian restaurant in the DC area, and Carusos is by far the best we’ve found. A truly wonderful experience —we can’t wait to return.
