   I've been to Carter's Landing a number of times since it opened. At the beginning, the service was fantastic with the staff being very energetic and going out of their way to make the experience wonderful. The menu was extensive and creative and the food was served hot and delicious. I went last Fall around Thanksgiving and was not at all impressed with the service. The place was very quiet with few diners. Rather than seat the guests in one of the dining areas the staff had us seated all over. With a small staff they couldn't look after the guests properly. Service was extremely slow, food was delivered cold and was all around a very poor dining experience. I said I wouldn't go back. Well, I was looking for a place for brunch and saw this available so decided to try it again. There was no mention of a buffet only and the website only showed a brunch menu. As my last visit, the service was horrible. We ordered coffee to begin and when it was brought about 5 or more minutes later, the server didn't bring milk and cream, even after asking if we wanted those when we ordered the coffees. Then, a few minutes later she only brought 2 milks and 2 creamers. It was the same for our refills! The buffet at $22 a person was sparse. The 'kid' making the omelets, crepes and waffles seemed well out of his element. Omelets were stuck to the pan, over cooked and only one at a time. Not much better on the crepes. The rest of the buffet, which consisted of 3 trays of hot items and a small table of cheese, fruit and deserts was not enough. Hot items were cold and uninspiring. It's sad that Carter's Landing seems to be so mismanaged because the location is absolutely perfect and begging for a place like this should be, but the bad management, poor service and lack of food quality is going to spell the end of this place which should be absolutely thriving! It's sad actually!

   Too loud and noisy to have a conversation, so do not go there if that is what you are attempting to accomplish, service and food are great.

   I was really impressed with the service here. Having some difficult food restrictions to manage, I needed some help navigating the menu to select something that would work. Drew, the exec chef and manager took the time to go through ingredients with me for some options on the menu. I had hoped to sub the potatoes for sweet potatoes, but the only sweet potatoes they had were the fries which had a rice flour coating, which I could not have. I was going to settle for just extra steamed veggies, but Drew offered to get some plain sweet potatoes roasted for me with just olive oil and salt. He had the sous chef come greet me at my table when I arrived to confirm my order and ensure I got what I needed. Every server and staff member went out of their way to make sure me and my friends were happy and comfortable. I would definitely go back!

   Carter's Landing was the perfect option for our family friendly get together with friends and their kids. The atmosphere is relaxed and the menu offers a variety of drinks and delicious meals to satisfy meat eaters and vegetarians alike with great added touches. Our waitress was very friendly and professional - overall the service is improving with every visit. The efficiency of the service still needs work so customers receive more prompt attention - good thing we were hanging out with friends and not in a rush. Carter's team needs to improve the timing between orders and delivery of items to table. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our meals.

   We had a party of 8 for the Thanksgiving special and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food, ambiance and service was excellent!!

   Good food, atmosphere and location, but understaffed as usual. Had a problem with washrooms flooding/sewage coming up onto the floor while we were there which was pretty disgusting.

   They didn't have the breakfast menu as advertised on open table, breakfast Buffett instead. It was ok but not what I had expected. Limited selections.

   Chose this restaurant based on online review of wheelchair accessible places to eat. It was, including the nice restrooms. We are an older out-of-town couple hoping for more ambiance. This is a younger persons active bar/restaurant. We were given the choice to eat outside or in. We chose outside. Due to our need for a standard height table because of our wheelchair we had to be relegated to a rather distant empty area of the patio under a speaker. It was a bit of an awkward arrangement. We ordered our meal from our cutesy waitress, including a salad. Half way through the main dishes, which were very good, the salad had not come yet. We cancelled the salad but were later visited by the manager asking if we still wanted the salad or else dessert instead for free recompense. We chose dessert but were then told to order it soon as the kitchen was closing. The time was not late. Perhaps our fault for not seeking more information but we would not recommend this to older couples.

    Service was horrible not enjoyable at all was going to order apps then good and all we ordered was apps cause we wanted out of there
