Be sure to try one of our grill dishes using aged meat that will be cooked over a Josper Charcoal Grill for mouthwatering textures and enhanced flavours. We can also cater for dietary requirements on request, be sure to speak to our team on arrival.

Taking its name from Sir Frederick Gordon, the original owner of the Majestic Hotel, our Piano Lounge & Terrace is adorned with murals of eight beautiful English Spa towns, including Harrogate.

Went for our anniversary on Saturday - we had the chateaubriand meal but exchanged for credit to use off the main menu. My husband was well catered for with a gluten free meal and the food and service was great- no complaints at all.

Lovely restaurant with good food and beautiful bar. The service was excellent. The staff could not have been any more helpful. The food was lovely and generous portions a good choice on the menu at reasonable prices

We came on an overnight steak for two deal. Whole experience was fab and the meal was excellent value and was best steak ever

Ordered Pint of Guinness with meal and got a glass two thirds full. The waiter said “it came out of the machine that way”. Food was served cold. If you are going to charge premium prices , you have to provide premium service and food.

Arrived at 1.25pm for a 1.30pm booking. Large dining room with many empty tables but seated right next to a large group. Waited 25 minutes for our drinks, by which time we'd finished our starter. Food was of good quality and we enjoyed it. Again waited for condiments, by the time they arrived we were half way through the main. Staffing was low on numbers to start, then there were more but everything took a very long time and our drink order got lost. Staffing in the main seemed overwhelmed by a restaurant that was not even a third full. Restaurant decor is nice, noise levels high due to being seated next to others when even one table over would have given us some privacy and relief from the next table. Overall, good food, poor service, wouldn't go again and got out as quick as we could.

Dined 6pm Sunday Evening. Around a dozen diners to begin with. Music playing ok but not in keeping with surroundings. Shown to table and drinks order taken. Person explained how the Chateaubriand meal worked as this was included in our hotel booking. We decided to order this menu. We chose a starter as advised by waitress due to the cooking time involved. Not having had such a menu before we were open minded and waited its arrival. The meal itself was extremely delicious and we enjoyed it. We felt the portions were appropriate for us and we did not order from the dessert menu. We chose vegetables as a side order as they were not included. These were very tasty and well seasoned. (Stirfried spinach with lemon, ginger and chilli). The staff were pleasant and well groomed.
