Carter Estate Tasting Room

I am a member here. I love Carter wines .. especially their bubbly. Their server was excellent. I did not have on my glasses so I can't tell you his name but he remembered me and I have had him before. My only issue is that they added a $10 gratuity when there was only two of us. We were planning on leaving a $20 tip anyway so we left only $10. I don't like an added gratuity unless its a big party. And I think this is fairly new; I did not notice any such charge when I was there in February.

We did a tasting at 1 pm on a Monday. While the wines were great, it was disappointing that they didn’t have any food options, not even the charcuterie board that was listed in their website. We had planned on having that for lunch while we did our wine tasting. They shouldn’t list it if they only offer it on weekends, which is what our server said. Wine was excellent, though!

Extremely limited food options (crackers for oil tasting?! Nor French stick; no charcuterie...) on a Thursday, just doesn’t feel set up for the season. Only one server, very nice man but trying to do it all...overall the tasting room needs improvement for us to ever return

The ambiance was beautiful. We were sat at the very end of the building and were hit by a ton of wind. When we asked to have the heaters turned on we were informed they do not work. They quickly sat us inside stating that table is always the coldest. No big deal, just don't forget your jacket! There is no food to cleanse the palate between wines, so that was a huge bummer. All things considered, the experience was okay.

This was a wine tasting for four! Very friendly & Joey did a great job as host & server. We bought snacks to go & they were tasty but over priced.

First impression from Hostess was not great as she had a very poor attitude but after sitting down and having Juan take care of us...............WOW! from only wanting a quick tasting to after dealing with him, did two tastings, food, purchased items from store and two bottles of wine! Juan is outstanding

From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable! Juan was very knowledgeable about the history of the winery, the wines and vineyards. I would highly recommend a visit.

Had the absolute best time! The room and property is beautiful.

Came wine tasting (covid edition) for my birthday weekend. Staff was pleasant and wine was good. Only negative is the charcuterie board was not worth the $25 spent on it. Other than that wonderful experience.

We did not have food at the tasting room, not sure any was available...but in order to continue this review I had to put something. $25 tasting fee per person seemed a little high for the quality of the wine they had available. Overall, the experience and customer service was good.

Wines were delicious and Juan was the best waiter!!!

First time at Carter's and would come again and suggested it to others.

We had ordered white flight and by the time we got to the third wine it was warm. Our cheese plate were melting due to heat. The patio need fans to make customers feel comfortable while wine tasting.

I love going to Carter’s. I am only willing to go to places that take COVID precautions seriously. I hope they will continue to expect compliance by patrons.
