The Carte Blanche Team is passionate about combining fresh ingredients to create a local cuisine for the Hamburg NY area. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere that is both friendly and inviting for our local residents and visitors.
During this time we must follow all CDC guidelines regarding masks.
Guests must arrive promptly for their reservation wearing a mask. When moving throughout our space we require you to be wearing face covering correctly. Guests who arrive without masks will not be allowed to enter. Please understand that we are trying to keep our staff, their families and you safe during this time.
Reservations are given a 15 minute grace period. We ask that if you are going to arrive late or if you have to cancel your reservation please alert us as soon as possible. Given our smaller capacity all tables are given a 90 minute time limit to ensure proper sanitation and so that we can seat future reservations in a timely manner.

                          Nice small place. Good variety of small plates and entrees. Caesar salad and Stuffed Hungarian Peppers were really good. Chocolate Mousse was a bit different, but outstanding.

                          The overall evening was a very good one and we will most likely return again.However it was unusual for a restaurant of this quality reputation to be out of Halibut and a restaurant staple such as meatballs by 6pm on a Saturday.We did appreciate half credit for the one meal of four that was not prepared as acceptable.

                          Love the Popovers ...thank you....The specials had a nice variety to complement the written menu. Our request for a downstairs table was honored. Thank you for that also.

                          Server was not good. Not attentive. In absolutely no hurry to care for us and she only had 2 tables., we were the 2nd. We had early 5 pm reservation. We waited over an hour for our food! She NEVER returned during this time. My steak did not taste like any BEEF I have ever had. It was honestly disgusting. Warm potato and meat. Been sitting. Chicken parm- meat was super brown. Linguini was not cooked. Tasted terrible. Lemon Risotto- also not barely warm and scallop were chewy. I left 3/4 of my steak. Same for chicken parm. Server should know this was a problem! No boxes. She took so long to come ask how it was we were over it. Also embarrassing to say much when seated next to other table on bench seat so close! Very expensive for horrible meal and no one cared!

                          Such nice ambiance but the food was just ok for the price. We ordered the calamari and it was mushy and the breading was falling off service was extremely slow and for an app and our meal no dessert took us about two hours. I had the chicken Milanese in the salad on top was really good but the chicken was a bit tough and a little bit thicker than I’m used to for chicken Milanese.

                          It's been many years since we visited Carte Blanche last. This visit was for Mom's Day brunch. On this visit, Carte Blanche did not disappoint. The dining experience was extremely pleasant. Wait staff was superlative, and struck the perfect chord between helpful, friendliness without the sometimes hovering overbearingness. We were seated in their upstairs dining area, a quieter and more intimate space with lots of windows allowing sunlight from a gorgeous day to pour in. Our brunch entree selections, maple syrup fried chicken over crispy waffles, and some sort of omelet were decent, though my fried chicken could have been a tad less browned. The omelet was great but a bit bland. Some imaginative sprucing up would have made it wonderful, befitting the superlative ambience provided by Carte Blanche, but then we are rather discerning diners. Overall it was a great experience for the occasion. We told ourselves we need to come back for dinner sometime soon.

                          Had a great girls night celebrating our 3 birthdays! One had chicken Milanese - delicious; another Pesto pasta - awesome; and finally Lemon truffle risotto with scallops - mmm! One of my favorite places to dine!

                          Had delicious lobster bucatini and my husband the steak! Popovers always fresh and had a great strawberry butter with them. Wish there was dessert, or maybe we missed that. One of our favorite restaurants!
