Specializing in creative American cuisine and thoughtfully crafted cocktails, Carson Kitchen sits in the heart of Salt Lake’s downtown dining scene. Carson Kitchen is built on a philosophy of reimagined comfort food prepared with approachable fine-dining ingredients.

The restaurant concept originated in 2014, opening in the historic Fremont East district of Downtown Las Vegas, a partnership between chef and restaurateur Cory Harwell and his dear friend, the late Chef Kerry Simon. We had the Wellington burger, it was really good and the fries were fab. We also had the Berra tacos, not the best connsume I’ve had but the meat was really good. The desserts were fabulous! Lime pie and the corn custard, oh my they were so good

Carson Kitchen is a fantastic part of the be SLC restaurant scene. The food is a good blend of basic American favorites with a twist, like the crispy fried chicken skins served with smoked honey. The Killer Shrimp is a MUST. We've been enough times to have tried a good portion of the menu and everything we've eaten is good. The service is friendly and accommodating whether the restaurant is packed or you're there early and have the place to yourselves. The prices are good for the very good cuisine, not as expensive as other places with food that is not quite as delicious!

We ate here as visitors to Salt Lake City staying downtown. The menu is compact with about 6 or 8 selections in each of three categories. Two people shared the beet salad, tempura green beans and the beef entree. The food was carefully prepared and flavorful. For dessert we had both the chocolate brownie and the bread pudding - both very rich and delicious (I suggest dropping the bacon in the ice cream that accompanied the brownie as it seems like a distraction to the dish). The staff was very friendly and we were well attended and not rushed. The noise level was too high for us - the space is mostly hard surfaces and it was hard to converse and hear. I would eat here again!

They made the pizza a little small and the Owner gave us a free Appetizer. Great food, great service, 10/10!

Great service. Cool decor. We had a French dip, chicken sandwich and turkey burger and all were unique and delicious (well better than your average of each). Had the burrata appetizer and it was amazing. We will definitely go back. It was a treat.

My family and I had a great time. We tried a bunch of different dishes and shared them - it was perfect. The burrata and the shrimp were especially good!

Everything was wonderful. The host was so friendly, our waiter was great, the food was outstanding and the chef was so sweet. Will absolutely be back!

Courtney was AWESOME! She made sure allergies were communicated, discussed/ explained the menu well, described the cocktails perfectly, and worked well with our odd divvying of the check for work purposes. Food was delish, easy to share, timely, and fun! I have yet to have bacon and chocolate combined and NOT liked it. :0)
