Thanksgiving 11/22/2018- Great. Hilton Plano and Carso was beautiful and Carso’s Thanksgiving Buffet was a very enjoyable experience for my family and parents.
Buffet was excellent; food selection from Traditional turkey and all the trimmings; but the breakfast, smoked salmon, fresh grill fresh pastries were delicious and a great selection. All very hot and fresh. Desserts were petite sweets and left with an enjoyable meal.
Nice and quiet for conversations and not over crowded by packing extra tables nor feeling pressured to turn table and force you out.
Marco was very polite, attentive and enjoyable to help us with our table service.
Nice job; we’ll be back and thank you for an enjoyable Thanksgiving!!!
The Thanksgiving Brunch was excellent. Good quality, variety and value. Friendly staff. Will definitely try them again.
Thanksgiving brunch - was good but a bit pricey, could at least include two mimosas in the price but any alcohol is extra.
The breakfast was good
Excellent all around experience. Nice ambiance, service and outstanding food.
We went for Thanksgiving brunch and couldn't have had a better time! The food was fresh and yummy! The service was attentive and friendly. It was a little pricey but with bottomless mimosas and champagne it was totally worth it! I would highly recommend for any special occasion.
Wonderful buffet with outstanding service! The house made pasta was delicious!
They had promo price when they opened up. I think it was $11.99 or something like that. They raised the price to $14 and now it's empty. I went there Friday at noon for lunch and I saw only 3 tables occupied with total 12 people. Some more people might have been there in the back side. Anyway, price is too high for what you get. Won't go back again.
Food was good, as always. NiJay took great care of us!
Overpriced for value received. Maybe because we had a 2pm seating.
Best meal we've had in a while. Best calamari we have EVER had!
Carso's might have been good when it opened, but it's very plain now. The food was avg at best. For a Mediterranean restaurant you would expect good humus, and this definitely was not, it's even served with a sliced egg on the side.
This is a hidden gem. Inside the Hilton at Granite Park. The menu was small but flavorful. The Greek salad is very good.
The food was amazing! Had the Greek salad and Cowboy rib eye. Oh, and can't forget the creme brulee. :) Everything was so good, and Ken our server was excellent, as well!
We were very pleased with this hotel restaurant. The place was almost empty but it was mid-week. The service was very pleasant and efficient. I started with calamari which was prepared very well. Then I had the 22oz. Bone-in ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The decor was hotel safe. I wails be glad to go again if I was at the hotel on business.
The decor is beautiful and the food is great. The only downside to the restaurant is that the restrooms are quite a hike across the bar area and toward the hotel itself.
Greek salad was superb, couldn't have been any fresher, crunchier, tastier, almost licked the plate! Vinaigrette was delectable! Great balance of the vinegar.
Prawns were tender and tasty and paired well with the polenta and sauces. Would order this again! Pots de Creme was superb! Great chocolate flavor without bitterness. Very rich and
creamy, The Biscotti was the perfect touch. Don't forget to order coffee! This was a great
culinary find! Service was perfect! Met the Chef. He was so enthusiastic and informative!
Thankfully, the noise level was so low...we could each other talk without shouting.
Parking was a hassle---but worth it! Thank you
Carso always exceeds my expectations. I returned for their Thursday buffet lunch. All 3 courses were fresh, well flavored and delicious with a nice atmosphere and very pleasant, attentive wait staff. I will return again quite soon.
We found the menu choice very limited. The items were more generic than Mediterranean. Some key expectations include babaganus gyro to name a couple! Otherwise, the location is perfect. The staff were among the best I have come across.
Restaurant did a GREAT job w/ their Mother's Day brunch ... all hands on deck w/ Management, cooks and servers, and we were well taken care of. Food was certainly the highlight, and we will definitely be back for a dinner date.
Parking is - unfortunately - tied to the Hilton property within which they reside. Be prepared for a minimum $8 parking fee in the garage next door.
lots of great local cheese and charcuterie. plus a made-to-order fresh pasta station.
We went for the Mothers Day brunch. Wide variety of choices and the food was very good.
The ambience and build out is excellent. The food was very poor quality, out of 8 people all appetizers and meals were fair to awful.
The bone-in ribeye was excellent but the potatoes were a version of "tater tots' and not good at all. We were surprised when the Caesar Salad was served with the dressing separate and not tossed. The restaurant is very beautiful and the service was adequate with a limited menu.
While the entree was very good the self serve appetizer and desserts were a huge disappointment . The items were not relished and there was very little to chose from. Example the soup was the bottom of the barrel abs wasn't even hot and the desserts had been picked over and just a few thinks we're left and left for a reason
From the "greeting" to the "goodbye", James & Elena provided excellent service! The food was delicious with an upscale presentation. The ambiance was beautiful.
The area was what I expected it to be. The food and drinks were actually better than I expected.
My wife and I had a really good time, the food was excellent and the service was outstanding
Each course and paired wine was exceptional. Thoughtful service. Pricing was a pleasant surprise. Romantic atmosphere. Will definitely go again.
My wife and I were celebrating our 30 year anniversary. We were treated exceptionally well and given a free glass of Champagne. We had the Valentines Day Menu. It was fabulous. My wife had My wife had the Roast Chicken and I had Lobster Mac n Cheese. They were cooked perfectly. For dessert we both had the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. It was to die for. I definitely would visit this establishment again and recommend to someone.
This place is great for anyone with food allergies, as they are so careful to exclude any items you don't want. We feel the most comfortable dining there compared to any place we choose. My wife has a severe gluten allergy which can limit our dining options because most chefs don't take it seriously enough.
Perfect for a romantic getaway we had dinner and then spent the night at the hotel. The food was really good. We loved the Forbidden Rice. The meal was a great value since the food was 5 stars at 2 star prices.
This is the poorest example of a buffet that I've ever been to. There were 3 entrees, one salad, one soup, one selection of veggies, and a few desserts. You can't call this a buffet. Plus, the self-parking in the garage was over $8.00 for less than one hour. Will not be back to this restaurant or hotel. And, will not recommend.
I love everything about Carso's. The food is a real "foodie" find and scrumptious. The dining room is modern, clean and visually quite appealing. The service is friendly and well-mannered. If you're looking for a change from "ordinary" this is the place. Not at all typical of a "hotel" restaurant. I think it's a real gem.
We came to the restaurant on a Wednesday evening and it was a lovely experience. We started with the hummus and greek salad. Both were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Entrees included the lamb, which was out of this world! Perfect service by Kassy!
I went with my dining group and enjoyed the Tuesday lunch buffet. Everything was fresh. Soup, great selection of salads including fruit. Choice of entrees were great, as were the desserts and all this including soft drink or coffee for $11.99. I plan to return soon.
Service and food was excellent. Great ambiance with bonus for us ,not so busy & total lack of noise .
Two blocks North of the weekend chaos of The Shops, this restaurant feels a world away. Yes, it is in the Hilton Hotel in Granite Park but this is a food-focused restaurant.
The decor is cozy and there is a lovely outdoor patio with fountains for when the weather cools off. However, we were most impressed by the food.
The menu has a Mediterranean influence and while everything was delicious three items stood out. Both of our salads were spectacular - The Sicilian Street salad was so fresh and summery with its preserved lemons. The Cesear had fresh crunchy romaine with a subtle flavor of anchovies. The short ribs and scallops were full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. We didn't have these dishes but understand their lamb has been voted one of the best in the area and the chicken has been recommended for our next trip.
We were surprised to hear from the staff that Friday/Saturday are their slowest nights. The locals haven't discovered Carso yet but business travelers are keeping them busy M-Th. If you are looking for fresh, inventive food in a relaxing dining environment, give Carso a try.
We found this restaurant quite by accident after another restaurant would not take our reservation for a party of 11.
Wonderful experience, the food was fantastic, portions were appropriate for price, service was excellent. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We will definitely be dinning here again.
Great food, excellent ambiance with a wait staff that cares about your evening
