Carriages is an award-winning restaurant situated within the allpay ltd campus at Whitestone Business Park. Founded by Tony Killeen, whose passion for trains inspired the unique setting overlooking the historic Whitestone Railway Station.

We offer an exceptional Tasting Menu – for details and to book, please visit our website.

Dine with breath-taking panoramic views of the rolling hills from our top-floor restaurant, or enjoy a cocktail on the spacious balcony. Our landscaped grounds, featuring secret gardens lit up at night, offer the perfect setting for a peaceful stroll.

We are open Thursday to Saturday evenings. For parties of six or more, or to arrange our complimentary mini bus service, please call 01432 852303 or email carriages@allpay.net. Full booking information is available on our website.

Michelin star food, with a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere at a fraction of the price you would normally pay. Fantastic food and fantastic wine. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner but unfortunately a few little things slightly marred the whole experience. It is strange walking through a large empty open plan office to get to the restaurant, but it is what it is. The restaurant itself is smart and modern, but not exactly cosy, and the tables are well spaced which is wonderful. The service was excellent all round, but especially from the very knowledgeable sommelier who offered sage advice and helped us to choose a couple of things we have never tried before. The wine selection is truly excellent value. The free prosecco and canapés - haggis bonbon and cucumber and salmon mousse nibbles - were a great start. We chose to dine al la carte, and I accept I am being very critical, but given the undoubtedly premium prices we felt that the food, while beautifully presented and generally very good, lacked that wow factor to truly elevate it to reflect those prices. The duck main could have been slightly pinker but was nonetheless less very tasty and tender: the accompanying pâté was light and rich, too much so for my wife but I loved it, and the confit leg seemed a little dry. The fillet steak needed a fiercer sear and then another couple of minutes in the oven to properly finish the inside, while the ox cheek croquette was wonderfully crisp on the outside but slightly dry in the middle. The accompanying shallot puree had very little taste, but the onion tarte tatin worked very well with the meat. The black cherry soufflé didn’t really taste much of cherry but had a wonderfully light texture, and the pistachio macaroon had too much chocolate filling which meant it lost some of the pistachio flavour. The strawberry panna cotta was delicious, but the presentation was far too fussy for my liking. So, overall a very pleasant experience but in our humble opinion it didn’t quite match expectations, especially for the price.

It was our first visit to this restaurant. We were a little apprehensive as we drove through the industrial estate but: The staff were very attentive The food excellent and the whole experience was very enjoyable.

Fantastic service from start to finish! The staff were incredible, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The food was out of this world! A special mention to the sommelier (I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten his name!) – he was absolutely amazing: knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging throughout the evening. Highly recommend – a wonderful treat. We were celebrating a 50th birthday, and everything was perfect!

I booked a table at Carriages for my husband’s birthday as I’d heard good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. I notified them ahead that I required gluten free options. I was pleasantly surprised to find 90% of their A La Carte menu was gluten-free so I had plenty to choose from. All the staff were friendly and very attentive. We both really enjoyed the food and will definitely be returning.
