   The food and drinks were good. Very disappointed in the surcharge added to the bill and will not return because of it. It’s the only business in the world where the patrons are expected to pay for the employee. It’s not enough we have to tip them to make up for the salary the business owners don’t pay, but now we have to pay their medical as well. I understand the food cost. Really it should be higher. We all go to the grocery store, so we know what the cost of groceries are. At a restaurant, we expect someone to buy it, prepare it, and serve it to us. We should pay high prices for that. What we should not pay for is tips and added surcharges because the restaurant owners are choosing not too. They are your employees, take care of them. I pay enough for my own medical, dental and vision. And it was never even mentioned. Just added. Ridiculous! Do better for your employees!!

   Tried for the first time after the restaurant changed from Lola’s to Carpenter Street. The burrata appetizer was great. We ordered two different steaks for entrees, both medium rare, and they came out well done. Overall the quality was not near where it was when this was Lola’s. Service was a bit spotty during our meal but we’re hoping this was all due to the recent management change and that things will improve soon.

   The food was okay, kind of expensive for what it was. Not sure if I’d go back or not but great service and the atmosphere was still nice

   Lola’s has a great vibe. Food was delicious. We had a relaxed and pleasant lunch.
