DeAnthony was our server and he was fantastic. We are locals and this place always delivers with great food and service.
Food is good if you ever get it, and if it is cooked to your asking. Service is extremely slow. We had been going there since they opened and were happy. The last two times were a disaster, and I had to end up having dinner at home. Won’t be returning even though we have voucher for $20. The first time, they apologized for everything and hoped we would come back. We did, two weeks later, and it was worse.
Service was good, however food was terrible. We ordered Nachos with pulled pork, very little cheese, small spoonful of Guacamole and Pulled Pork was cold and hard to chew. Then I ordered Zingers with Fries and the Zingers were literally drowning in too much sauce and the fries were COLD. First and last time eating here.
Great place for late night dinner after the show at Legends in Concert. Food was very good, service was
prompt and friendly. Will definitely return when in MB.
We loved being able to make a reservation here for a busy Friday night in the summer so that my family of 6 didn't have to wait forever for a table. Lexi our server was great, the menu was extensive so everyone found something they liked, and the food was delicious. The nachos were a huge hit and a great app to share. The Pub Burger was incredible with all the toppings and special sauce. The Reuben was also a terrific sandwich and perfectly made. We enjoyed both the pub fries and the sweet potato (waffle) fries. The strawberry salad was fresh and filling. The kids all enjoyed their food as well. My only gripe is how expensive the wings were. It was $15 for 12 wings... more than $1 per wing! I know it's been a while but I miss the days of the 25 cent wings.
Very nice layout and plenty of Tv's. Cheese curds n fried pickles were tasty. Service and choice of beers outstanding.
Carolina nachos with smoked chicken were ok- chicken was pretty sparse and all toppings were pretty sparse. Chips were overly salty, could not eat very many. French onion soup was alright but pretty watery and not much cheese on top. Fish tacos were pretty good. Cocktails were good. Noise level of this place was super loud- had to should across table at my date. You can see through to the kitchen and servers stations and the floors were filthy- this made my meal a bit unappetizing. If they keep the visible areas that dirty, you have to wonder what the non-visible cooking areas are like.... also, it is definitely a very casual restaurant with much emphasis on the SPORTS bar ambience and decor, despite the more upscale look on the outside of the building. I don’t know if I’ll be back, with all the better restaurant options in the area.
Our waitress JoJo was AMAZING!!!!! #goyanks
Very good bar type food. Sandwiches and tacos were great and fresh with large portions. Very tasty.
We enjoyed our meals, but my wife thought her salad should have been just a little larger. Having said that, her liked her salad. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was excellent and it was not very loud for a sports bar! We would go back.
The burgers were really good. The service was good but the noise level was awful. The music was blasting, it’s a sports bar why is the music needed.
Jumped on open table to make sure we had a table. Arrived and it was busy and we got to sit down pretty quick. As soon as we walked out to sit down for dinner I assumed it was our waitress I held the door open for.. no thank you . Ten minutes later no one came out to ask us or serve , so we got up and left. We noticed more and more people arrived outside as a golf putting and a waitress was concerned about them and getting them drinks...
Across from broadway and 10 other quality restaurants for the price
We really enjoyed our dinner at Carolina Ale a House!
We were at this restaurant a few months back with a group and when we were back in Myrtle Beach, asked my brother and his family to join us. Had a great time! Had a reservation (which was a good thing since there was a line out the door and quite a wait). The booth we were seated in had the cold air blowing on us, but when we told the server, he immediately told the manager and she moved us with no issues. Food was once again delicious and love the variety. Will be back on our next visit!
Even though we made a reservation, we still waited 30 minutes longer than our reserved time. Steaks were very good and cooked perfectly. I really wish they would add Bearnaise sauce to the menu as it would be perfect on their filet mignon. Baked potato was tasty and salad had homemade thousand island which was very good. They do a nice oyster p.o. boy on French bread and al.ost as good as in New Orleans, but needed to change frying oil to make it perfect.
First time at Carolina Ale and it did not disappoint. We had a large group (12) and made a reservation weeks in advance. It was sophomore CCU students and their parents and it was a wonderful time. Our server, Tyler, was wonderful! Accommodating and graciously did 8 separate checks. Loved his enthusiasm.
I wouldn’t go again. The burger tasted weird and the peach cobbler dessert was so awful they took it off our bill.
Very helpful with my large party!
Ribs were pretty good. The chicken was just OK. Nothing too fancy here
Good food, service was a bit slow
We had driven down from KY and needed to find a place to meet up with my cousin, my uncle and her family that was driving in from VA. We were a party of 12. Seven adults, four children and one baby. We ranged from 80 to six months. I was able to make reservations on Sun. for a Thurs. evening. Our reservation was confirmed the day before. When we arrived our table was waiting. The menu had a wide arrange of dishes. (something for everyone). Everyone was pleased with their food even the kids. We were able to talk for a visit while the kids played outside. Service was prompt and courteous. I highly recommend. It was also quite reasonable.
Waited over an hour for app n when food came it was wrong
They have a bit of trouble recognizing Open Table reservations, but if you speak to the manager he’ll straighten it out. Food wasn’t bad — I got the new Mediterranean salad which tasted great but I wouldn’t say it was worth the $10.99 we paid for it. Their daily specials were great and the beer selection has something for everyone.
Disappointed to have reservations, arrive on time, and wait 30 minutes with various excuses while everyone else was seated. A myrtle beach restaurant should be prepared for the season. The food was only fair. Our server tried his best. I doubt I would try another Carolina Ale House.
Our waitress was not
Perfect place for having just driven eight long hours to Myrtle Beach with two kids. Good food, great beer selection.
Great meal! Great kids meal deal on Tuesday's! Awesome summer drinks and great servers and staff. Great gem of a restaurant across from Broadway at the Beach. We would definitely go back!
There were a lot of tables open, but our server seemed to be very busy with a lot of customers. He tried very hard. We have been there before, and enjoy the atmosphere and food. This time, it just seemed like they were short handed. We ordered some appetizers and different meals this time, which were not as good as we would have expected, especially for the price. We had errors with two meals and our to go order, but we did not send anything back. We wanted to get home for the next game of the World Cup. I will still recommend them because the service and food is usually much better!
Fiid and service were fine, not great. It was just way too loud.
Good burgers, great chicken tacos
The food was good and the service by our waiter Carl D. was phenomenal. Not only was he prompt with food and drink he was willing to engage our 4yr old son in conversation. Great job Carl! You made our experience fantastic.
Our waiter was Carl D and he was awesome! He was constantly interacting with our table and made great suggestions about the menu! We are from Ohio and visiting, and celebrated our 13th Anniversary here! Even the hostess wished us a Happy Anniversary! If your looking for a good atmosphere that is family friendly too this is your place!
We arrived and the hostess advised there was no reservation, and was addiment about it. But she advised it was not a problem to seat us...defeated purpose of making reservation.
Good food, cold beer and a ton of TV's to watch any event.
Food was seasoned well and arrived promptly. Everyon
e was cordial.
Great place...will be back!
Great selection of beers. Busy place. Ribs were excellent. Good location and plenty of parking
