Service needs to improve for this kind the restaurant. Food is so so.
Small portions and horrible value - $45 for one small branzino filet. Never seen anything like it in my life
Needed to ask 3 times for my drinks to be brought over
Cramped table with no effort to fix.
Shameful - especially with such outrageous proxea
5 stars- unbelievable experience. My two colleagues and I were there for a conference and decided to stop in. The appetizers are the perfect size that will allow you to wet your beak but still have enough room to finish the main course when you get there. We ordered the porterhouse for 2 and filet for the 3 of us. It was cut right in front of us by the staff. The meat was phenomenal and the staff was EXCELLENT. Incredibly knowledgable and on point with their suggestions. Great wine selection as well.
Went for our anniversary and had a perfect evening. Fantastic service and divine food. Started with the octopus about which my husband had expressed doubt initially but we were BoTH bowled over my its texture and flavor. Then prosciutto followed by a caprese salad with perfectly ripe tomatoes. The beef cheek ravioli was the special that evening and was absolutely mouth watering. We shared the flank steak because the ribeye (our usual preferred cut) was too much meat for us to eat and it was perfectly seasoned. We also enjoyed the citrus glazed carrots and the mashed potatoes which were rich and delicious!!!!! Dessert was a chocolate peanut butter confection of perfection. Wine pairings as selected by the staff was extremely well chosen. This was my favorite Vegas meal. The service was attentive and many congratulated us on our anniversary. We can’t wait to come back!!!!
Daily fresh made pasta on premises that is amazing. Delicious beef shank bolognese, gnocchi that melt in your mouth, aged steaks that will literally make you drool, and a wide selection of antipasti, salads, sides, and desserts. On the edge of the casino floor it can be a little loud but they do a decent job dampening the noise.
The cost is probably $8/dish higher because you are paying for the Bastinich name, but after you taste the food you don't really begrudge it.
I can't wait to go back.
Service and food were outstanding. Drinks were top shelf as well.
I've been here twice, and the first time my experience was outstanding - best steak I've ever had. Which is why I decided to bring a group of friends for a birthday celebration - unfortunately the experience was very different this time.
I reserved a table a month in advance, yet when we arrived we got the worst table in the house - a heavily trafficked area right next to the entrance and the bar. Guests and staff were constantly moving past us. Fine, we knew great food was coming so we endured it.
We then asked the waiter for some wine suggestions, pointing out our (in fairness, low-ish at $120) budget. All he did was point to the wines on the list that were priced accordingly - hardly information we didn't already have, being able to read and all... We ended up choosing our own bottle.
The steaks arrived (2 bone-in dry-aged ribeyes, for 4 people). We had ordered one medium and one medium rare. The latter was cooked to perfection, and the other one was...exactly the same. The two that had ordered medium told the waiter, which agreed it was undercooked and took it back for "a quick turn on the grill". It came back 15 minutes later, completely overdone - it was literally brown all the way through. We complained, and again the waiter completely agreed it was overdone and offered another at no cost. However, this is already 1 hour into our meal and half the party is done eating, so we say no thanks.
In the end, they offered free dessert and a free drink, as well as not charging for the ruined steak, so they did what they could to rectify the dire situation. It was just too bad that the damage was already done, my friend's special 40th birthday dinner had not been so special thanks to Carne Vino.
Got recommended this to take my boyfriend for his birthday. It did not disappoint. We had the porterhouse for two which was absolutely delicious. Service was great, efficient and very friendly. Everything was reasonably priced for what we got.
Overall a great experience. We got to sample a few cheeses from the chef, tried their calamari, had the ravioli pasta dish (a bit too al dente for my tastes), a filet which was butterflied at medium, and had the gnocchi side. With the exception of the doneness of the pasta, everything was great. The gnocchi was the unexpected hit of the night... think ricotta within lasagna, without the pasta.
Phenomenal service. The strip isn't anything special.
Great experience the waiter Carlos explaine the menu very good
Love the 4 .months age steaks
Our favorite restaurant in the whole world.
We ate the Beef Tasting Menu, and it was amazing. Each course was explained prior to us eating, and all of them were spot on delicious. The service was impeccable, staff was very attentive, and made it a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely go back, and would recommend the Beef Tasting Menu to anyone.
Exceptional servers. Very attentive and knowledgable. Atmosphere: Upscale. Food: Fantastic. Menu Choices: Interesting and Diverse. Wine Menu: Unbelievable. Over All Recommendations: GO! Make Reservations.
Waitress was horrible. Extremely rude.
Service was slow, several very large parties led to our part of 3 being overlooked most of the evening
Attentive wait staff, very pleasant, knowledgeable. Food was well prepared and very tasty. Excellent bread and lard. Spinach was amazing. Steak presentation and taste exceptional.
Our server was outstanding, the food just as outstanding
It was nice for us so much too.
The wine was too expensive
Never have I been to a high end steak house (and I've been to them all a ton of times) and been so disappointed. Celebrated my 40th there by spending $70 for a bone in 16 oz NY strip. The bone weighed 2-3 ounces. I have no problem paying money for a great steak... sad to say this was far from a great steak. Service was good and the waiters were funny and attentive. Better options for a steak in vegas though for sure (STK, Delmonico, CUT, Del Frisco's, Prime, Ruth's... been to them all).Total buyers remorse! Sorry Carnevino.
Honestly the food was very good. One guest in our party did not receive his salad and was asked if we wanted our meal held while we wait on his salad. Another in our party filet was under cooked. Instead of offering to make another, he was offered to put it under the broiler to bring the temp up (unacceptable for a $60 steak). The mixed drinks were inconsistent, but good.
All together the experience was pleasurable and the issues were resolved, but lacked the finesse of a fine dining restaurant.
Porterhouse had excellent flavor but the NY side was literally fatty with strains of thick fat in it. Couldn't even eat it. Lousy piece of meat with great flavor.
Just too many places to go in Vegas that are much better than CarneVino. For example, try Lavo just around the corner for a much better menu, ambiance & execution. One of the least favorite places I've been to in LV, would seriously rather go just about anywhere.
The service and food were great. Loved the wine list. Maybe a little on the high end for price. Would recommed and will go back.
Best steak I have eaten. Makes Morton's , Capital Grill, and Sullivan's look like amateurs.
Great food and top notch service but extremely overpriced. Expansive wine list that was completely unaffordable at 7x normal restaurant prices.
Unbelievable! Wow the food was so fantastic. The dry aged steak is a masterpiece. I've been to really nice steakhouses and this is on another level. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation.
The Steaks are exceptional in taste and presentation. Family-style dining with steaks is uncommon,, but this restaurant makes it a great experience. Disappointed about the family style side dishes - they could be bigger. They have a good wine selection, but not enough California wines, and all the wines are way overpriced. I personally would prefer a different music background - Jazz or Classical. Rock Music in a super expensive steakhouse where you have a business dinner is not ideal.
This was a business meeting. We were seated right away and the waiter really helped with our selections
This steak place was very good, service was excellent but our waiter kept trying to upsell the food and the wine. The worst part of this restaurant was the wine list. The prices were 4-5 times retail. If the price of wine was just twice as much, you would sell much more wine. I would not recommend this place because of the prices of the wine.
Disappointing. The beef was good, but not as good as the hype.
Overpriced for the portions served. It was very pretentious to me.
Should have gone for one of the large cuts, offered for two. Those steaks looked tremendous. Waiters deliver steaks to the table in hotboxes so meal is perfect when it arrives. A bit costly but delicious.
We absolutely loved the food at CarneVino! The steak was amazing - the only place in Vegas that dry ages their own steaks! Their pastas were delicious as well, along with their calamari and salads - a really fantastic meal all around. We will be back!
Mains were amazing lamb and filet mignon excellent.... service was awful I asked for a grey goose martini got kettle one no extra olives or anything when I asked the server for more olives he said your drink looks done you don’t need one! Appetizers were awful arugula salad was just not appetizing and the grilled octopus was gross period.
Phenomenal menu especially for steak eaters. The Reserve cut is a must and worth every penny - this type of steak is not easily found on menus so take advantage and taste this delicious steak! Great service. We dined at Carnevino with friends we met up with in Vegas and enjoyed every minute of our dining experience.
The resturant looks old and tired. Server was okay. Overall the food was average. 6 drinks and dinner for four was $600. Not worth it. Mash potatoes average. Pasta was a small amount for a side. Dessert was the best thing at the CarneVino.
Will not go back. We live in Vegas Flemings off the strip is better than this place. Time to update the interior and food.
Amazing! Everything about it was a perfect experience.
Great food never disappoints!!
