Birthday dinner with the family. Appetizers: octopus, calamari, braised short ribs, ceviche and bone marrow- all were terrific. Steaks were cooked to perfection for entrees. Overall a great dinner.

Three times a charm. After two disappointing attempts we read about a new chef joining the team and thought we'd give it one more try and voila! We had a PHENOMENAL meal with excellent service. We experienced a high-level of creativity in a menu designed to lead you on a culinary journey of Asian-Peruvian cuisine. The flavors were bold and well combined and varied enough to make each dish stand on its own and the lovely presentation made it that much more inviting. You guys nailed it.

It was a nice quiet evening where my friend and I could disappear into our giant steak and enjoy our own conversation. Nothing flashy for a Thursday night but very nice steak and very laid back experience.

Very underwhelming for the price and very limited menu. My husband asked for his steak to be medium rare, more on the medium side and he had to ask for it to be cooked more. The sides never came out until we mentioned something which we then canceled the fries because my husband finished his steak at that point. The only good thing was the drinks.

My issue with this restaurant was that the brunch menu was very limited. I ordered a egg and cheese sandwich which was very good but came without anything else. There was no salad or fruit or potatoes with it. To sum up the food was very good but selection was limited. Service was a bit slow.

Found this place on line for brunch. Sounded interesting. Many rave reviews. Nothing special. Waffles and fried chicken very ordinary. Spiced maple syrup best part. My friend had eggs benedict. They have salmon and regular. Waiter asked if she wanted plain. She said yes. They brought them with nothing. Not great communicating. Plain eggs benedict have Canadian bacon. Otherwise not eggs benedict. Friendly service though. Music playing sucked. It sounded like they were still partying from the night before. Shouldn't brunch music be calm and soothing? I hate pop music. Looks like a lovely downstairs dining room for parties. Hope the dinner food is more interesting. Probably my won't be back. Too many other places with better food at better prices.

Service was good and friendly. Unfortunately the steak was subpar for a "steakhouse". My wife's NY Strip steak was undercooked and they re-cooked the same steak which just turned it chewy. We noticed the family next to us had the same issue and they had to re-cook their steak two more times. My filet was flavorless and the sauces didn't make up for it - not that you should need any. The side of asparagus was meager - just 4 or 5 pieces. Not worth the price, both for the steak and side. Hopefully this was just an issue with the fact it was a Wednesday night and perhaps the chef was new but that's just my hope. Disappointed.

Made reservations through OpenTable and mentioned in the Notes/Comments that we were coming to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday. They paid special attention to detail and even surprised him with a dessert on the house and sang Happy Birthday to him. I also noted that we were going to bring my 7 month old niece so they made sure to give us a comfortable and spacious table. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I would definitely come back and recommend Carnem to others.

i miss the burger. i miss the old menu. I was disappointed in the attempt at Japanese fusion. Didn't really see fusion - as much as a few "American" items and a few "Japanese" items. just the pork belly cotton candy lollipops remained that i enjoyed from my last visit. They had a hit on their hands in their unique approach before. The steaks are overpriced and not comparable to the tried and true steakhouses for the price they are charging.

Our server David was very gracious with our many needs. The filet mignon steaks weren't cooked to the requested temperatures, but he took them back as many times as needed. Even when we were down to the last bite. David was surely the highlight, but expected better execution for the cost

Their brunch is the better between dinner and brunch. The value for brunch exceeds their dinner menu. The staff is very accommodating and polite. The are quick to help and be of service. This place is a great place to goto without having to go into the city.

This was an absolute amazing experience. Food was delicious! Service impeccable! We really enjoyed ourselves. We both are huge steak lovers and our food was prepared to perfection. Totally recommend this place. Will be back! We could not have asked for a bettee experience.

Excellent ambiance and service. Although a steakhouse, the steak was somewhat lukewarm, and was not served on a hot plate like most other steakhouses. All in all, would recommend this restaurant, and will dine there again.

Great New Year's Eve dinner. Everything was brilliant - service (Ernesto) was great, attentive and personable, didn't rush us. Food was amazing - we loved the peruvian calamari to start, and then great steaks, followed by fantastic puddings (try the canneli). Great atmosphere and even though it was NYE and quite busy, we felt well looked after.

Went there for NYE. Service was incredible. Ernesto was extremely attentive, friendly and on point with his recommendations. We had the dessert rose and the whiskey smash for drinks--beautiful and delicious cocktails. Appetizers were on point-tuna tartar and the shrimp. Unfortunately for a steakhouse, the steak was underwhelming. Could have been more tender and there was no effort put into seasoning it. They could also stand to work on the presentation of the filet mignon with 3 lonely fries on the plate. Overall we had a great time but I wish I could actually rave about the steak.

We went for brunch which was disappointing. My husband offered pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon finally arrived after he had half finished the pancakes and it was inedible because it was lying in grease. No one ever came to ask if everything was okay or if we needed something. We had to wave across the restaurant or get up to find someone when we did need something. We certainly will not go back and we would not recommend it

the foa gra was cold on the inside for me and my companion the onion soup was not cooked. had to send it back. when it came back it was still not done. dessert canoly was way too swee i dont know what happened but everything was perfect the first time not so much the second. will not be coming back.

the dishes were amazing. the lobster salad with avocado and fresh mango was on point considering mangos are not in season. The ribeye steak was sooo tender and delicious. The service was great. The manager greeted me when we walked in and out. The waiters were attentive and super kind. Def a must go!!!

The food was great, the steak was perfect and i enjoyed the creamed spinach. The fried oreo dessert was delicious. Robert took care from the time we walked in and seated us, until we left . We will definitely recommend this place to our friends

Excellent steaks and service. Went with friends for Christmas Eve. Everyone was satisfied. Staff were very attentive and even agreed to revise bill when asked to separate liquor from food ( everyone doesn't imbibe) and when one coffee was late, after all others, waiter comped it. Definitely recommend.

My father, my husband and I dined here for our annual pre-Christmas dinner. The menu is creative without being pretentious, the food is top quality and the portions are perfect- not big but also not skimpy. The service is exceptional- you really feel like the staff wants you to feel at home, and the waitstaff and manager we're very attentive without interrupting our conversation. It was also refreshing to be a in a great restaurant in Brooklyn that didn't feel uber trendy. Standout dishes: tuna tartare, pork belly with spun sugar, lamb shank, skirt steak, affogato. Also: great cocktails.

Great food and great service. Manager is extremely pleasant and stopped by a number for times to see if all was well. The cannoli was amazing, the best one I ever had. My second time there and is definitely worth it.

My daughter found Carnem Prime on the internet and insisted we give it a try instead of the more popular steakhouses in Manhattan. It was a short walk from the subway station in Brooklyn and we were not disappointed. My daughter had the Lobster Risotto and I had the Beef Stroganoff made with prime filet and both were excellent. Our server Alex was great, he made sure everything was perfect for us from food to bread to drinks. The GM Robert was also very friendly and helpful and made our dinner experience one to remember. Even the young lady filling our water glasses was great. Carnem Primes service is second to none, a great find on a quiet street in Brooklyn. Daughter and I will see you in July.

The food was delicious and great quality. The steak tartar and foie gras were delicious, the filet minion was "melt in your mouth" tender and very tasty. The charred octopus actually had a delicious charred grilled flavor and was super tender. The bone marrow and escargot dish is a beautiful dish...and the pork belly cotton candy lollipops was to die for!!! And let's not forget my favorite of the night- the double cut bacon was more like a super smokey and savory small pork chop! The deep fried OREOS is a must-have dessert!!! I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes!!!
