Really good food and accommodated our gluten-free requests. Thought it was so good, that we booked ourselves in for breakfast for the next day before we had even left!

Don’t expect the “original” as this place is different in many ways. Still, good lunch, big portions. Coffee count shrinkage done well. Kids lollipop pancakes were big! The pastrami was more corned beef, no pepper coating or smokiness. And, the 24 layer cake was monster!!! No way the 6 of us could finish - took half home! Definitely a place to try when being a tourist in theater district!!

Once we arrived, we were seated within a few minutes, that was the best part of the entire experience. We were shown to our table and we waited about 15 minutes for a server to come and take our order. The two of us ordered from the pre-theater, both of us chose a salad, I had the Bronzino and my husband chose the salmon. We then waited about 20 to 25 minutes for the order to be placed on our table. To our surprise and disappointment, our salads and hot entrees were delivered at the same time. Having a table for two it was very crowded with the 4 large plates. My branzino was fair at best. We then sat with dirty plates on our table for another 15 minutes and my water glass remained empty. Finally, our server approached us, and I had to ASK for a cup of coffee just as he was ready to hand us our check. Needless to say attentiveness was not a priority here. This was not my first time at this restaurant, but after this experience, I will never walk into this restaurant again!

For a New York deli experience the. Carnegie Deli is a great choice. They offer the most requested deli sandwiches in different sizes so all members of a family can order and not be overwhelmed by an oversized sandwich. The fries, salads , and other accompaniments are all very tasty. The menu also has a complete selection of other dishes that are served all day from pancakes to burgers to dinner entrees, and fabulous desserts. Only complaint would be the noise level which is rather high.
