Carne is a new Italian concept from WOW! Hospitality featuring an incredible menu from Chef Michael Dacquisto. The menu showcases some classic dishes from Pasta La Vista and Dacquisto's signature restaurants, in addition to new specialties such as Wagyu beef, AAA beef, and Bistecca Fiorentina.

Located downtown near the SHED, Carne is the perfect place for high-end dinners or elegant cocktails before events at Bell MTS Place. Free parking is available in the adjacent parking structure for restaurant patrons.

Validated parking is available in the parking structure directly beside the restaurant. We have 20 stalls for our guests on the top level. Please follow the directions within the parking structure.

Street parking is also available, and is free after 6pm on weekdays, as well as free for 2 hours before 5:30pm on Saturdays.

The meal and the service were exceptional! We had the Beef Carpaccio as a starter and it was fabulous! We then had the Sweet Garlic Caesar which was tasty and enjoyable, but not the best we've ever had. Our waiter, Brian, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the Snake River Eye of Rib which was AMAZING! I don't think we have ever enjoyed a steak as much! The steak came with garlic prawns which were also excellent. As sides, we ordered the Tempura Cauliflower (strangely delicious) and Garlic Butter Button Mushrooms (tasted as incredible as they smelled). The side dishes were very large portions and we took most of it home. We can't compliment our server, Brian, enough. He was attentive and helpful without being intrusive. We will definitely be making Carne Italian Chophouse our go-to restaurant for future special occasions!

For what you pay you would expect to be as good as 529. Much preferred the old 295 York. Calamari was under cooked and came with tomato sauce(felt like you were eating spaghetti), protein portions are tiny, and brussel sprouts were nice and burnt as well. Tacky decor in the back(where we sat), and no parking, just helped to burry the hatchet... to bad cause we really enjoyed the old 295..
On a side note all the staff are extremely pleasant!... except for the one waitress who wasn't rude or anything, but just felt like she was being forced to be nice, just not what you expect for a $200 bill..

grabbed a last minute reservation on valentines evening, appreciated being able to get in. we just had coffee and dessert, which was great. really appreciated the server brewing a fresh pot of decaf as it was a late evening, and we were attended to without being bothered.

As amazing as the food is, you can't put service in the back seat.
Our server was extremely inexperienced; while clearing off the table after our salads, lettuce was left on the table - gross. Blind to social cues such as credit cards and coat check tickets on the table, our server continued to offer dessert and drinks instead of offering us the bill.
If service could match the meals and the price tag it would be a much more enjoyable experience.

This is an excellent establishment, we were impressed with it as soon as we entered the building, there is free parking in the parkade next to it.
We were seated in a private booth for 2 which was perfect for privacy and conversation.
Both had the Brandt lake Waygu steaks and they were perfect although I think my girlfriends was a nicer cut we both were happy, the seared scallops are to die for as well as the sides very generous portions.

OMG! We had such a wonderful dining experience at Carne! The food was amazing in freshness, taste and presentation. The service was super professional, without being stuffy. Our server was exceptionally polite, efficient, accommodating and helpful. I Had the Wagyu rib steak and it was most definitely thee best steak i have ever had in my 55 years!! And the side of scallops where cook perfectly - like butter, with just the right amount of spice to enhance. Prices are above average, but you get high quality food and good sized servings. You order your main, and add your sides to your meal as an extra: however, the side servings are big enough to share for two.
The baked mussels were cooked to perfection, and the serving size is big enough to share. My husband had the spicy sausage penne, and he had to take half his meal home, it was so big. They have an excellent Italian wine selection, as well as many craft beers and top shelf liquors. Not your run of the mill steakhouse by FAR!
If you are looking for a place to go to have a special occasion dinner, or simply want to treat yourself to an exceptionally prepared meal, I highly recommend Carne on York Avenue!
PS. Try the Godfather cocktail for an after dinner drink. :-)

This is our 2nd time visiting Carne, and it was again outstanding. My brother-in-law has worked in the cattle business for 20+ years and Loves steak. He said that was the BEST he had ever had. Our appetizers did not disappoint and the Black Magic was as good as the PLV days.
