The waiter was fantastic. The food was delicious!
Will probably need to valet park since there is more valet parking then general. Didn’t take long to ret car though.
Food was great. Good size portions. You will probably have leftovers.
Will return again for sure.
Always great food. I was disappointed to hear that Cacio de Pepe is no longer prepared tableside.
Great neighborhood spot with an inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly service and excellent food! Loved it!
Birthday dinner food was Great!
Pre concert dinner. Beautiful new restaurant. Nice to see Carmine’s in Rosemont. Food was great, service too!
Great service. Really attentive wait staff.
John absolutely spot on appetizers and main course. Absolute attention to detail on everything.
We went for an early dinner and sat on the patio. Excellent peaceful ambiance.
Service was terrible. Even after the General Manager came over to apologize and comped a dinner and our dessert, we expected the service to get better not worse. Ladies room was filthy. Place has potential. Maybe was an off night.
My wife and I went out for dinner, used Open Table for our reservation (So Easy) . The food was fantastic and our server was went beyond the the call always checking on us and suggesting we share one of the specials and add pasta. (Good Call) cocktails we perfect and plentiful. As the restaurant became more and more full with guest we were never rushed. I will be back.
Service was inattentive but could be because there were a lot of tables and one server for our area. Not consistent with other experiences at Rosebud. Also, not at all similar to Carmine’s NY or Las Vegas
Love the valet parking. Guys are great and brought our food to our car at the end of the night. Waitress Joan was amazing. Service was exceptional, food amazing. We had the clam chowder which went so well on the cool night. I had chicken Parmesan and hubby had spaghetti and meatballs. Both plentiful and very tasty. We had a full meal for the next day with so many left overs. both re-heated well. Desert was also very large and brought home to enjoy the next day. We will be back.
Great service starting with valet and throughout the meal. Food was excellent, drinks were very smooth. Piano bar was very entertaining and perfect for a Saturday night!
We came here to celebrate two family member birthdays and it was a wise choice. We have been to Carmines downtown but this was our first time here. Dinner was fabulous and once our server noticed that we were celebrating she top our evening off with special desserts! Nice touch.
Loved the energy but pretty loud. Maybe turn down the music piped into the restaurant.
Delicious food and good service.
Food was delicious. Service was great!
The food is overpriced and the portions are small. Don’t waste your time or your money going to this mediocre restaurant as there are much better ones in Chicago. This Carmine’s is not affiliated with the one in NYC and no where near as good. As I said the food is mediocre at best an they serve you on cheesy little place mats. No table cloths here! If there was a McDonalds equivalent of Italian fast food this place would be it! We were barely through our meal and the wait staff was pulling our plates out from under us. Don’t be fooled and take a pass on this place as you will be glad you did!
This was our first time at Carmine’s for an anniversary dinner. Our server, Jay, was fantastic, bring out a sample of sauce we hadn’t tried, giving recommendations, and giving us a complementary celebratory dessert. Would highly recommend.
Took a very long time to bring appetizers, then they brought all food at the same time.
Noise level was so loud you couldn’t even carry on a conversation with the person next to you.
Good food but service is up and down. Shouldn't have to wait 40 minutes to place appetizer order and let empty plates sit until next serving arrives.
Food was tasty and big portions but should be for price. Good atmosphere and piano was nice touch.
Service and outdoor seating was nice. However food was just ok. I had the Veal Picatta and probably the worst I’ve ever had. The sauce was almost gravy like the side pasta tasted like ragu from a jar n was like warm. Very disappointing
Everything was delicious and our waiter, Jeff was the best!!! We will definitely dine there again.
Was there with with 6 other colleagues. We all thought the food and service was fantastic! Speaking for myself this was the best Italian I have ever had so far.
I love going there it's one of my favorite places for dinner but this time I wasn't happy at all with my dinner nor the service. The waitress was very nice but kept on coming around every 5 min it seemed like and our group felt as we were needed to get off the table. I love the pasta that they make in the cheese roll, this time they advised that they no longer cook it in front of the table and it's done in the back. Well I don't know if it wasn't my day or the presentation wasn't there but the pasta had no taste what's so ever.
Kate was a great server all around. We got multiple drinks, appetizers, entrees and deserts. Everything was exactly how we ordered and came out in a timely manner. Kate definitely help make our birthday celebration a great one.
Our waiter was amazing. He gave great recommendations.
Our server was great, we had a large party. Food was delicious. Would love to come back soon.
We sat outside on the patio. Very breezy that evening, but once the heaters were turned on it was fine. A little noisy but not excessive. Food was good not great. Trainee waitress made excellent suggestion for wine.
John was our waiter and he was excellent. We celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary.
Carmine's was fantastic! They were able to accommodate every request we made, and when one dish came out slightly wrong, they made it right without question.
We had a wonderful time at Carmine's. The food, service and outdoor garden area are wonderful!
Portions outstanding and food very tasty. Very busy restaurant so expect a lot of action around you. Great value for the money. Was very good.
Service was lacking. Server did not ask us if we wanted fresh pepper for salad. She disappeared for long stretches at a time. Had to flag down a manager when vegetables with brick chicken entree were inedible.
Food is mediocre for the prices they are charging. The portion sizes are huge which, somewhat, justifies the prices. I had the chicken braciole with cavatelli and my husband ordered the ribbons bolognese. Both dishes were quite salty and the cavatelli were dense and doughy. It is a very nice place, but the food does not live up to the atmosphere.
If you had asked me to write a review at my first visit in July, I would have recommended Carmines. Now I won't really. I made this second reservation for my birthday this September via Open Table (more than 2 weeks in advance) and specifically noted we were celebrating a birthday and also wanted the tableside cacio e pepe preparation they were showing off in July (table side flaming pasta, yes!) - WELL... on the afternoon of my reservation day, I received a call to say they were no longer doing the table side preparation and just did it in the back of the house. It was too late for me to change my whole party, so we still went. I ordered the cacio e pepe, it was not creamy or well seasoned and was over al-dente and slightly cold. My husband's bolognese was super salty and the rest of my family felt their meals were ok. There were no mentions made of my bday for the party, no complimentary dessert, not even a candle, even though the waiter Jay was made aware of the bdays. There were 2 waiters for our table of 4 and one bus boy, but no one around when anyone needed something. The food cost is very expensive for Italian food (especially in the restaurant land of Rosemont). There was nothing special overall about the restaurant once they dropped the tableside preparation. Coconut cake was cream cheese layered with yellow cake and some coconut on the outside, coconut mousse cake was very firm, like a cheese cake instead. My mom was not happy about driving this far for such a mediocre experience as were we. The first visit was great but the 2nd visit was NOT.
From beginning to end bad. The Calamari was gummy, salad was badly made and sloppy, pasta dish was watered down and shrimp was gummy, pork chops were over cooked and dry, and they didnt have ginger beer to make a drink that was on the menu. The place needs a new chef and definitely a new manager. First time and last time to the Rosemont location. The waiter also took 10 minutes to greet us at our table and provide us with refreshments.
Sat outside on the porch. Great smell of Pinion wood. Food was delicious. What a great time we had dining at one of Chicago's greats.
Amazing FOOD and service!! Wow! The food was the best. The entire dining experience was outstanding!! Best business dining.
