Party of 2 with reservations and was bumped to another table within the enclosde-heated outdoor casual family dinning area. If we had our family, that would had been OK, not when your taking a break from the routine and dressed accordingly.
The food and service were excellent!
Very well greeted, server was very friendly, courteous and flexible. Food was delicious (thumbs up) ambience and crowd was also great. Highly recommended
Very loud but decent Italian meal
Great food and good spot for a team dinner!
Our waitress Nicole was amazing
Entrees were pricey. Had a great experience though
Seats by the kitchen were loud and had a bad draft. Luckily our server was excellent!
Great as always!
Phenomenal food as usual. A go to when I want a nice dinner with the Mrs.
Amazing food, bring your appetite as the servings are large and tasty!
Live band was playing Saturday night at 8:30 PM with sound level which still allowed business conversation.
This restaurant should be on your list if you’re planning a trip to Chicago.
Favorite!!! Amazing as always!! Love Carmine’s!!! Food, atmosphere and service is amazing.
Was very fun. We usually go every time for a Valentine’s Day dinner and it’s been great every time
Mediocre food. Over cooked pasta, dry chocolate cake. Would not return.
Fantastic. Can’t wait to go back. The food was amazing and the service was tops. Thank you
Excellent service and food
Great classic Italian. Food, ambiance, and service were all excellent. Would definitely go again.
I surprised my wife with a date in the city for her birthday. The flowers on the table were great and were a nice touch. We had a great time!
We brought our 10 year old grandson for a birthday dinner.
Got the second floor window corner booth and gratis tiramisu.
Salvatore was our friendly and k knowledgeable waiter, all our food was delicious. Our grandson said it was a great birthday celebration with us. Thanks.
Food is usually good but steak was tough and salad was bland. Not the usual so I was a little disappointed.
Superb in every respect!
The back room (patio) was so cold that I didn’t take off my coat the whole meal! The place was slow it was a Monday not sure why they would sit people out there if there was space in the actual restaurant.
Rush Street Better than Other Locations! We recently dined in their Naperville location and the food was a "miss" but here in the gold coast service and freshness shine. Started off sharing the grilled calamari and Caesar Salad. For the main, the appetizer portion of HUGE steamed mussels in a garlic tomato broth was more than enough. My husband had the chicken piccata which boasted two large chicken breasts (which he enjoyed for lunch the next day). Desserts are big enough for four persons.
On the Expensive side although very good food and service. A couple of drinks dinner for 4 $250.
I was in town for just a weekend get away with my 23 year old daughter. We wanted Italian, and Carmine's was within walking distance of our hotel, so we made a reservation. We were not disappointed! They got us in even a few minutes early so we didn't have to wait at all. The bread was great, the drinks were delicious and our entrees were amazing! My daughter had the beef medallions and I had fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and we were so happy with our selections! The creme brulee for dessert just topped off a fantastic meal! Our server was great and we enjoyed our entire experience and will most certainly be back!!
I find Carmine's a great place to take a large family, with energetic children to older family members whose focus is more on the great entrees. Our waitress was outstanding and deserved a generous tip. Very accommodating! It's my favorite "go to" restaurant in Chicago.
Everything was outstanding from the venue, food and service. Never disappointed when we dine at Carmines.
Service was good, but food was far from it. Lasagna tasted like chef boyardee and chicken marsala was very bland. If you are in the mood for sub-par food that is over-priced, then this is your restaurant!
