Everything was great. They had asked if we were coming for a special occasion when the reservation was made and I told them it was our 25th anniversary. No one even mentioned Our anniversary.
A wonderful evening in old town Manassas. Great food, wine and service. Javier was exceptional at caring for us. Highly recommended.
This was our second visit to Carmello’s and it was again fabulous. The food, the ambiance, the wine selection, the service in all I highly recommend this gem right in the heart of Old Town Manassas. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Keep up the great experience you are all providing for your patrons.
It was my girlfriends birthday and from the time we walked up out front to the shuttle ride to the theater it was perfect. Welcoming comfortable and delisious. The service was amazing, meal was perfect and my girlfriend loved it. They even had a special birthday wish for her with her desert. Amazing. We will be back many times. Thank you.
It was fine but the date is incorrect. We were there the week before?? Then Open Table showed us as a NO SHOW??? Confusing.
Overall everything was fine. The only complaint was that we had to kind of protect our plates as we had at least four different servers try to take them away while we were still eating. We had a party of four and we’re enjoying our conversations, but unless we were actually eating someone would come by and start to take a plate away.
Great service and food.
We celebrated Father’s Day at Carmelo’s. Loved it and will be back!
We had a wonderful time! Food was great, service was wonderful & ambiance is very nice. Perfect for special occasions.
Father's day brunch buffet. The food was decent, but the issue was the service. Our waitress was very nice and polite, but I had to physically seek her out. Also, the other service staff were hanging out around the brunch buffet, watching the World Cup, dropping f-bombs.
Awesome food, service, and ambiance. Our favorite place to eat in Virginia.
Been downtown for a long time. Great N Italian/Portuguese cuisine. Classy atmosphere, good food/services.
Our go-to place for all special occasions.
Food is always great and they made our anniversary very special.
Highly recommend for a wonderful meal in a beautiful, cozy setting!
Been there twice, both special occasions. Outstanding service, food was very good, but not great. Good for a nice date night. Expect $50/per person if you’re getting drinks. It’s a really nice quiet place.
Awesome meal and service
My wife and I recently celebrated her birthday at Carmello's and had a great time! The food was fantastic, the service superb, and we both love the restaurant's ambience. Bravo, Carmello's, we can't wait to do it again!
We were initially seated right beside another table in an otherwise empty restaurant. After moving to the booth on a partitioned wall we started our meal. Several times the wall was pushed enough by the private party on the other side that our table shook. The waiter took my husband's plate away while he was still eating. The food was just mediocre for the price paid. The noise was horrible from the party in the next room. Another couple that came to dine opted to leave rather than stay to listen to it.
Loved the entire experience
I could smell mold when I walked in the door I guess from the fire that happened a while ago. It smelled damp and dank.
Absolutely delicious. Wanted to try this restaurant for the longest time and finally was in the area and made the reservation for two. The food, service and atomsphere were all wonderful. Will be returning soon.
Plates not cleared timely; new silverware not offered; food excellent; noise level in room high.
Food very good. Waiter knowledgeable but all of us thought service really slow. He didn't check us after food came to see if we needed anything. We would go again however
Dined here for our daughter's high school graduation dinner. We've been here before, and we were not disappointed. Lovely dinner, wonderful menu, terrific service. We will be back again. We live an hour away and it is well worth the drive.
All three corses were outstanding so much flavor!
Carmello’s is a special occasion restaurant. The restaurant is very small and hard to find but the food was delicious.
Let me start by saying that there is almost no fine dining in Manassas, particularly if you consider ambiance a element of fine dining, which I do. The food and the service at Carmello’s was excellent but one party of five or six was so noisy that it nearly ruined our evening. They were so loud, our server Brendan offered to open another room for us. And speaking of Brendan, he is a real ambassador for Carmello’s. Knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list, sensitive to,our needs and went out of his way to help,us celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. My wife had Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer while I had the Salda Primavera. Her main course was the Manicotti Cuatro Formagi, freshly made manicotti stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan and fontina cheeses with a light tomato sauce and grilled asparagus. I had the Vieras, with shrimp, scallops, lobster and artichokes in a light white wine garlic sauce, all served over tomato rice. Both dishes were superb. At the end of the meal Brendan brought us a delicious creme brute and cappuccino.
All on all a delightful meal and when the noisy group left the noise level dropped considerably-others at diner were also happy to see them leave..
Fine dining-yes from the standpoint of the food and service but not from the standpoint of ambiance. We will return but with different expectations.
Great food, attentive, friendly service, reasonably priced but very hard to find a parking spot.
Mothers day dinner for my wife. Food and service was really good.
Fantastic Mother’s Day Brunch! Great service and great food!
Carmello's of Old Town Manassas is one of the better fine dining establishments in western Prince William county. The location in downtown Manassass is easy to find and accessible to people in Loudoun and western Fairfax counties.
The restaurant has a friendly, knowledgeable staff and enjoyably quiet ambiance which is rare in restaurants these days. The wine selection is quite extensive. I enjoyed a complimentary Portuguese green wine while chatting with my companion and waiting to place the dinner order.
The vegetarian appetizer and seafood dish I had was cooked to perfection. I was very pleased. I look forward to returning to Carmello's.
The food, drinks, service were all outstanding, as usual. Lovely place to dine. Excellent chef.
We dined here on a quiet night. Our server Xavier, was wonderful- very attenitve without being intrusive. The food was phenomenal. The salad had little balls of goat cheese rolled in nuts that were delicious and the smoked truffle vinaigrette was a perfect balance for them. We shared an entre that was hand-made pasta folded over long-braised short rib and marscapone filling with a red wine-broth reduction over it. There just are no words to describe how good it was! If you are in Manassas and you miss this restaurant, you should regret it!
Carmello's was just as I remembered it from 10 years ago! Much too much time in between dining at this magnificent restaurant...we will be back soon!
We are only in town about once every six months but always make it a point for dinner at Carmello’s the food the service always excellent.
We had a great birthday celebration dinner. We had the same waiter we had previously (Alamid) who was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. Our waiter also brought us complimentary champagne and a birthday dessert of creme brûlée! Nice to eat at a quieter location that is locally owned.
We decided to celebrate our anniversary at Carmello's, a favorite spot of ours. They did not disappoint! After cocktails, for starters I had the tenderloin tips in a port wine reduction on bibb lettuce; my wife enjoyed an old favorite, oysters Rockefeller. Both excellent choices. She followed that with the duck breast with fresh berries served with Israeli cous cous. I had the pork shank with double baked sweet potato and asparagus.
We were too filled to order dessert, but the waiter brought a beautiful plate with "Happy Anniversary" spelled in caramel sauce, and the best creme brulee I've ever had. An excellent experience.
Beware - there's only street or municipal lot parking, and it's not easy to find a parking space. We were lucky to find one a block away.
Very good shrimp appetizer (although small for the cost) and excellent salads. I also enjoyed the complimentary glass of Vino Verde!
Our fourth time there. Still absolutely nothing disappointing. Food, service, ambiance were excellent!!! Wine list was amazing. Will definitely go back for another date night or friend get together.
