   Sadly another case of Carluccio's not having enough staff to deal with customers. My eggs on toast was stone cold - although the lady server did apologise and bring me another hot dish. Other customers were told they couldn't order food for at least 45 mins as the restaurant was 3/4 full and everybody wanted food pre-theatre. Hello!! It's close to RSC and there's a matinee on ... it's not a surprise!!

   Our experience at Carluccio’s was very positive in all respects on both evenings last week when we dined there. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly and their service was exceptional. The food and wine were both first class, served very quickly, and delicious.

   We were a table of 8 celebrating a 30th birthday. Our server Oliver was absolutely amazing, genuinely the best server we have had for a long time, anywhere! - the whole party commented on this. He gave us such a personal experience and was genuinely friendly and charming. He made us all feel comfortable and made the meal very enjoyable. There was a slight issue with one pizza where it was delayed being served. Again Oliver was very apologetic and the chef even brought the pizza out to personally apologise. The other two waitresses were also lovely in the encounters we had with them. I want to personally thank Oliver for making the meal ever so lovely, and I trust that he will get the recognition he deserves.

   Great family meal out, Ciprian was a really good host, however despite the website clearly stating they are dog friendly they are not, dogs are only allowed outside so be careful when booking

    Carluccios has definitely gone down hill. Very shabby run down, toilets with no toilet roll, empty soap dispensers, grubby. We used to love this place. The only thing worth going for was the wonderful staff who were just great. Feel sorry for them having to work in such a scruffy run down place
