   We ordered a bottle of a specific wine. After it was opened my partner who knows her wines pointed out that the wine he had asked her to taste was not the one we had ordered. We were then informed that the wine offered was a like for like substitute. On closer examination of the label this was not like for like. When the main course was served my Burger was dry as was my partners pasta. A real disappointing evening as we have eaten here for many years and have always enjoyed the food, wine and service.

   The food was very poor. Our waiter was good but apart from him it was terrible. We had two steaks, two chicken dishes and a burger. The chicken came out warm at best. You could tell it had been sat on the pass for a long time under a heat lamp or something. That would have been nicer had it been hot. The burger was basically burnt but I didn’t mind too much however you shouldn’t be getting burnt burgers in a restaurant. One steak came burnt when asked for well done so we didn’t want to argue however it was far beyond well done. The other should have been medium but came burnt like the first. We spoke to the waiter and he said he would get another and apologised. Now at this restaurant where we were sat we could see directly into the kitchen and the dirty looks we were getting off the chef was atrocious. The second steak came and that one was raw. In the end we just said we would leave it and just take that one back. How can a chef who I’m assuming is well trained get all this messed up when there was only three, four at most tables in there. I dread to think what the standard would be like if there were back to back covers all night. The manager didn’t seem too bothered when we mentioned it to him either. We won’t be returning.

   Why do you ask if food ok and then ignore comments. Bruchette starter very disappointing lacked taste and not appealing. Told waiter and he said he would tell the chef.. a discount would have been appropriate

    Although some items were not available from the menu, there was still plenty of choice. The service was nicely paced, and the food was good with a great gluten-free menu. We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary there and will be dining there again.

    We had a lovely lunch! It was busy, but the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The best risotto I've had for a long time! A lovely relaxed lunch. I'll DEFINITELY be back.

    Portions were tiny and non-descriptive, ver noisy and sat next to a table that thought it was ok to bring their own food in! Service was good and couldn’t fault that but won’t be rushing back. Expensive for what you get.

    A pleasant meal. Staff were friendly and professional. Our meals arrived very quickly - so obviously hadn't been freshly prepared and cooked. The lasagne was on a plate which was extremely hot and we therefore strongly suspect the food had simply been microwaved. NOT what we expect for a meal placed at this price point. Would visit again but would hope for food of a higher quality and freshness.

    Whilst the food was good and in the majority we enjoyed it, some of the portions of the meal were not at all hot. If sent back we wouldn't have been able to eat at the same time. It should be right first time. Quite expensive for what you got.

    The food was good. the waiter was really friendly and helpful. It was freezing cold in the restaurant (the waiter did apologise about the temperature but not his fault) so some had to sit with coats on. Ido think pull down blinds would help that situation. There was no garlic bread, no sea bass and no calamari - to be honest the lack of garlic bread was the main annoyance as most of the meals would have been very much complimented by a side of garlic break.
