Food choices were great, everyone found something lovely to eat including the vegan in the group. The service was amazing and the staff were very polite and helpful even when the 10:00 curfew was looming. Would recommend anyone to go, couples, friends and family.

No sign of social distancing-tables very close together. Minimal cleaning between customers

Love carluccios at Bluewater, as always the staff were lovely. The food was great and sensibly priced. It was so nice to get out during this terrible pandemic.

The service was appalling, had to ask twice after half an hour to order drinks. Other tables were waiting over an hour for starters. How mains came a few minutes after our starters so we were unable to enjoy them as they tried taking away our starters. The food however was delicious and it was good value for money. Not sure I would rush back. They didn’t stick to Covid safety rules they had set out on their own website either which was disappointing. It was a very chaotic experience and not at all relaxing

All 3 pizza’s were amazing !

Apart from the pasta, sauce was on the bottom of the pasta, pasta needs to absorb the sauce.

Lovely family meal, even though they had a few supply issues and some of the menu wasn't on. They made all the effort to suggest an alternative and the food was lovely. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Our first visit to Carluccios and we were quite pleased on the whole.
The starters were very Sparse
We had garlic and mozzarella bread and Arancini. No garnish on the plates just one square of bread and 2 Arancini balls with a little pot of sauce.
The mains of penne giardinia? and mushroom risotto were spot on. So tasty and filling.
Very disappointed that there wasn’t any peroni in the restaurant but bring troopers we managed. ;)

While expectations were in check in the 'new normal' I thought overall the service was poor. We had pre-booked and were seated quickly. There were surprisingly a lot of staff on duty, given this Covid era and the recent financial struggles of the chain. We ordered drinks and focaccia to start. Drinks arrived but it took an age before two measly slices of bread with oil and vinegar were brought to the table. This sadly set the scene. Mains and sides were ordered which, while up to the high Carluccio's standard again took longer than normal. We asked for dessert menus but as it took so long to be attended to we gave up and asked for the bill as our daughter was getting tired. A shame. We left a small cash tip for the staff, not for the service but for the working in a Covid environment.

I’m so glad I’ve been asked to submit a review of our recent dining experience at Carluccios Bluewater on Saturday evening.
Starters arrived without any problem other than the only beer available was Perroni Red, only a minor inconvenience.
My wife ordered Tuna Nicoise for main. I ordered the Picante pizza.
Before I’d finished eating my starter I noticed a pizza come out the oven and be left on the counter, open to passing staff and customers alike.
Some 15 or so minutes later our waiter noticed said pizza and instructed the pizza chef to put it back on the pizza paddle and hold inside the oven to be reheated. Said pizza was then delivered to my table. At which point I informed the waiter exactly what I’d seen and how unacceptable this was. Pizza and waiter duly departed.
During this performance my wife’s Tuna salad arrived proudly boasting 1 anchovy fillet 1.5 green beans and a whole host of cherry tomatoes!
Miraculously my “new” pizza appeared again in a real time, cooking defying, feat which I still cannot believe!
The only conclusion I’ve arrived at is the oven doubles as a time/cooking machine.
At which point in the proceedings we decided to just grin and bear it to get through this experience.
At the end, after discovering our waiter was still missing since the first table appearance of my picante pizza the manager informed us this wasn’t acceptable behaviour from his staff. He kindly deducted the pizza from our bill.
As a family we’ve regularly visited this restaurant in the past. Unfortunately after this experience I can’t find a reason to return. I must say I’m very underwhelmed with this once great restaurants performance.
Yours disappointedly
The Martin Family

Love going to carluccios for breakfast. Great food and good service from friendly staff in a lovely setting. They’ve done a really good job with their safety measures too.

Excellent meal. Food was very tasty. Higher quality than similar branded type restaurants. Lovely decor. Friendly staff. Some food was a bit slower than others but other than that we had a fabulous lunch.

It was a nice restaurant and socially distanced. The chairs are not the most comfortable in my opinion but would go back and would recommend.

Worst spaghetti carbonara ever. Please don't put parsley in my carbonara! There were not enough eggs in the egg/cheese sauce and what there was got scrambled as the pan was too hot when you mixed it together. I think chef tried to compensate with oil and made it too oily. Spaghetti had a number of strands stick together

Incredibly inconsistent as I have ordered this a number of times over the years from this specific restaurant.
That said my mate had what looked like a very tasty pizza. Starter and desert were excellent as too was drinks. Will order something else next time as a main now especially as I have taught myself to make it. They do a great breakfast too.

Welcome return of an old favourite but service and waiting time was very poor and we waited almost an hour for a simple lunch, which should normally take 20-30 minutes. However we will return when things have settled down and staff can cope better.
