Carlos'n Charlie's - Las Vegas
Food was subpar. Would not return.
Good customer service but the food was par. Neither dish we had was flavorful at all, very bland. Very disappointed, will not return.
So sorry we don’t remember our waiter’s name, but he sure was good.
Food was great and price just right,
Food was excellent Mexican vibe and our server was terrific, friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. We all had a good time and I loved the open bar. Even walked away with a couple free souvenirs. We definitely coming back again!!
The Mexican food was excellent. The service was a little slow; could have been better.
We use the Groupon for them each time we go to Vegas and it’s a great time and deal!!!
No complimentary chips and salsa for the price u pay for entrees no bueno
Fun...quick service with delicious food. Great music.
Food was good friends were great, we haven't seen each other for years. Would've like the music to be a little softer so we could've heard each other.
CnC is always a little noisy, but that comes with the territory (in the casino). My friend and I have been coming here since they opened at the Flamingo and the food has always been very good. This trip was the same: excellent food and be sure and get their chips and salsa. Their chips are the best...
There is nothing special about Carlos and Charlie’s. The service was horrible, very slow. And not very friendly. The food was at best mediocre. It’s near the casino floor so you got that smoke smell. Maybe it could be fun for drinks, but I wouldn’t go have dinner.
Our waiter Payton was the best. Helpful, friendly, efficient.
Food was good, had to reorder it but on the second time it was really good. We had the 4 hours open bar package from Groupon and although it was cheap, it was not worth it. Cheapest beer and Margharitas with really cheap Tequila. We even saw that they mix the Margharitas in a different way for the people paying the full price. The servers though have been very nice and attentive!
Food was great. 5 dollar mimosas and bloody Mary's delicious
The main course was horrible. The waitress actually told us to not get several dishes and we settled for the chicken tacos. They were tasteless and cold. Wry expensive, service was rude, and food horrible.
Poor quality of overpriced food with a Las Vegas location which appeared to have peaked in 1979.
The worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Awful. Sent my meal back. It was garbage. How can a restaurant serve such slop. Our server Jason was great.
It was a tough dining experience. Restaurant is dated, and not incredibly clean. Service was slow/inattentive. I will say the server recognized it and didn't charge us for the beverages, which was nice. Food had good taste, but was surprised the entre's didn't come with bean and rice and chips and salsa was extra? My dish was missing an ingredient.
No. The quality of the food was not what I would expect of a Las Vegas Resort on the strip. The food reminded me of something you would get in a public school cafeteria. The margueritas were obviously made from a canned mix and were served in plastic cups. This is the worst mexican food I have had in Las Vegas
Oh my gosh! This place was AWESOME! The waiter was just great! We told him we were visiting Vegas for my niece’s 21st birthday and he gave the table a round a shots. It was some kind of flavored vodka but I didn’t take one so the birthday girl got 2 shots.
We were there for happy hour and the drink she wanted was 2 for 1. After she received the 2 drinks a few minutes later he brought out 2 more and said there was a mistake order and those are hers now too (for free).
All four of us agreed that the food was delicious. Just as things were winding down he brings out a SPECIAL treat for her. I can’t go in to detail but it was an adult treat. This was freaking great!!! We got a picture with him as well.
Overheard a bartender telling someone this restaurant was one of the better ones in Vegas. I am assuming he meant near or on the Strip, for people who don't have or want to use a vehicle. I personally did not care for the food - there was no chips and salsa to start with - and the menu was very limited. I believe this place is meant to appeal to the young'uns who like a lot of sugar in their drinks!
A large group of us booked in. They put us outside in 100 degree heat. They did put us by a large fan and mister which my partner was not overly impressed with. This marred the whole evening to be honest.
We were seated on the patio where a DJ and drummer played music way too loud. We couldn't carry on a conversation sitting next to each other. We couldn't hear the waiter's questions either. Once he finally took our order it took forever to get food. This was the first Mexican restaurant where we were not offered chips and salsa. Then the food was slow to come, because of the wait we got complimentary chips and salsa, but our drinks were watered down and the food wasn't great. Then while we were eating we were bombarded by table hopping magicians and balloon clowns. Should have gone elsewhere. Poor us|e of $80.
Group of five women had a fantastic time! The food was delicious. Had lots of laughs with servers and bartenders. Really great atmosphere!
Friends staying at the Flamingo, so this is a good choice to meet. Food and service very good.
This might be one of the worst restaurants I've eaten at in Las Vegas; we started with a table that was so warped that it curved up on both ends (we asked our server if that was normal, and he said he hadn't noticed it before). My friend ordered a mango Margarita, and it took a while to come out and when it did, the server told her that she should "probably give it a stir first". It was bright orange mango juice(?) with a float of tequila on top. Terrible.
My chicken fajitas were bland and the meat tasted odd, but we were in a hurry before a show and didn't have time to send them back. The chips and salsa that my friend ordered were not complimentary like at every other Mexican restaurant and were served in a white paper bag with salsa that looked like it came out of a can.
I wouldn't recommend Carlos 'n Charlies at all.
find other place to eat unless you want to wait for service and crappy food
Great!! Food and drinks were on point.
Waiter came to table right away and took drink & meal order within 5 minutes of being seated. 30 minutes after ordering, waiter said kitchen was very busy, sorry the food was late. Restaurant was maybe just over half full at that time. 2 parties seated after us had already received their food. One a party if 4, the other a party of 2. There were 3 of us. 45 minutes after ordering out food arrived with a different server. I've order was a chicken bowl. There were 2 plastic sucks mixed into the food. The kind of plastic sucks that say if red meat is medium or well done. 20 minutes later the waiter checked in us as we were finished eating. We told him about the plastic sticks. He apologized and said he'd tell the cook. He did not notify the manager as we requested.
Very dissatisfied with service, food quality and length of time to get our food. Will not go back. This was my 2nd visit. First visit I waited 30 minutes for food.
Nice that they offer a Local's discount!
Terrible terrible service and overcharged
Great food good portions.
Service was good food was just ok. Large menu selection.
Great food. Fun atmosphere. Great service. Will definitely return.
Awesome atmosphere! Great drinks and food! Will definitely return
Our server was excellent and made our celebration (my daughters 21rst birthday) very special. Thank you!
My friend and I always ehd our Vegas trip here. For sone reason it has become a tradition and this trip was no different. The food is very good (fajita) and the wait staff is excellent. Their chips and salsa I think are best you will find anywhere. Don't miss it.
Chicken Fajitas are over $20 and then when the waiter took the order he asked if we wanted Cheese. We said yes and discovered that a $2.90 add on charge was placed on each. I asked to see the menu once again and miraculously the added charges were removed. Clearly, the server was trying to protect his tip. But, it was too late since our experience was not tainted.
Push back so that you are not shaken down with bad practices!
We visited other Carlos’s Charlie’s establishments and thought the food was a bit better as well as the menu offerings.
A good place to go in Vegas and get Mexican food.
Portions were very large.
There was so much food! I got the chicken chimichaga and couldnt finish it. A traveling magician stopped by our table for a few minutes of entertainment. Great experience
